Give me a reason to NOT start Kareem Huggins (1 Viewer)

Sure Caddy is the starter, but he is banged up and TB says they want to split carries against an anemic Browns D. I see him breaking away for a long TD here and really am tempted to start him over LeSean McCoy at flex. Am I just itching to try out my sleeper here or what?

Fantasy football is about having fun and loving your players. Go for it! I love the Huggins story as much as anyone even if it is built on a house of cards.

start him over who?? you're missing some vital information here...

the AC forums has some great guidelines for posting these questions that belong there.

The only reason I can think of for NOT starting is maybe you just don't want to be awesome.

that's the spirit. maybe he should just embrace the love he has for huggins and play him. it might be a bad move in regards to fantasy points, but it could make for quite the love story.

This screams "Sure I was wrong but I won anyway!" post come Monday.

If you're starting a rookie backup week 1, you're in a world of trouble. #### if you're starting Caddy week 1 your draft went horribly wrong.

Ok here's your reason: from Bucs site speaking about Lumpkin-they claimed Blount after this.

Cadillac Williams remains the Bucs unquestioned starter at tailback, and he is expected to shoulder the majority of the rushing load, as he did during his stirring 2009 comeback season. Former tailback starter Earnest Graham is now the team's starting fullback, and also a powerful runner the team will use in short-yardage situations and to give Williams an occasional break. First-year man Kareem Huggins is seen as a change-of-pace back and fullback Chris Pressley is primarily a lead blocker.

The Bucs helped themselves in several of those areas, Morris believes, by claiming Lumpkin on Sunday.

"[He's] a talented big back," said the coach. "He provides some of that versatility like an Earnest Graham, where he could potentially play some fullback stuff or at least learn it. He's a big pounding back at the end of a game. For us, the exciting part is to fill that role of the other banger besides Cadillac if you want to take some hits off Earnest Graham and things of that nature. Hopefully he comes in here and is able to show some of that versatility that we think we've seen on tape."

Don't agree with this at all. Caddy has a great matchup this week.

There's your reason.

The guy is a 'Change of Pace' runner.. And he isn't going to get a large portion of the carries. If you're starting him over McCoy, you deserve what you get... Which probably isn't going to be much..

has it really come to this? i dont wanna beat up on anyone but you want to know why you should start an undrafted backup running back on one of the worst teams in the league over a guy you probably drafted in the 4th round? dont overthink things in week 1. you wait until AFTER mccoy disappoints you before you consider your other options.

Agreed, i like Huggins as much as the next guy, but wait and see what you have in him before you start him. Worst case scenario, he has a big game on your bench, but at least thats a positive for his future prospects.

Orange and Pewter?Wait, that's two....

Probably the biggest reason I can think of is that, as I have been taught in other threads about him, is that there are some pretty significant rules about how you can snap the ball, which effect his ability to be used successfully in secret weapon wildcat formations. With his game breaking speed, it's all about deception and getting him the ball out in space immediately and unfortunately it doesnt' appear the NFL rulebook has kept pace with the times on this one.

I'm not sure if you're serious here, but if this is shtick, it's funny..

5 touches, 35 yards, 0TD's.... That's probably high side...
I have a feeling you are about to be wrong yet again about him.
Make your prediction, add something to the thread... The above post is yet another veiled attack... Don't carry that nonsense into this thread too. Troll elsewhere...
Ill take the "over 5" touches. Care to place a monetary wager?
Make a prediction, I never provided an over/under line... So on with you.... This discussion isn't about you and me, so if you'd like to have meaningful discussion I'll read, I'm not responding to anymore of your baiting...

Thought so, good luck to you this season.
