It's one of the chores I enjoy. I'm always amazed at how magical kitty litter is. I'm so intrigued that I'd like to talk to an engineer about designing a litter box for adults. :unsure:

I LOVE cleaning out the litterbox. I, too, am fascinated by the clumping, etc. and love the scooping process. Really not sure how many :wub:s I can give GM these days.

Years ago, my friend was working crazy hours on a project, and got some expensive automatic kitty litter box.It would sense when their was activity and then it would scoop out the poop.

She got this for her two kittens she rescued from an animal shelter, one of which she nursed back to health after being beaten by an abusive owner.

Anyway, the beatings caused significant (mental) damage to the kitten and every day my friend would have some crazy story of her kitten's antics.

Well, it turns out her kitten would stand on the edge of the kitty litter box, and poop on the floor outside of it. And whenever the machine went off, she would attack the other kitten for properly using the litterbox.

 
Just want to chime in here that I also don't mind cleaning a cat's litter box. I feel like an archeologist excavating fossils from the desert.

The minute I get out and head back to the bedroom, he sneaks into the bathroom, jumps into the tub and starts licking the soapy water off the tub's bottom. When I come back into the bathroom to comb my hair, he freezes in the tub like I caught him masturbating, then dashes out of the room and flies down the stairs in shame.

I can confirm this behavior is not unusual. Also not isolated to male cats.

Our cat managed to jump up on top of a cabinet in our garage, which I think is 7 feet high or so. He starts meowing and freaking out, but absolutely will not let me grab him and bring him down. Moe-ron.

Eventually I made a landing for him with a garbage can and put some cat food on it, WA LA.
