GM's thread about nothing (16 Viewers)

Longhorn basketball team peaked tonight, six weeks early.Remember this when you're filling out your brackets. YWIA.
Never understood this concept. UT "used up" all their good games too early?
I'm as big a :lmao: as you're likely to find, but I can't imagine them playing this well through the season and into the tournament. I would love to be wrong.
kenpom.com likes them. :lmao:I posted a few days back that they were 20-1 on Sportsbook. Up to 12-1 today. :goodposting:

Just looked at the post list for this. I'm way behind the leaders, but only need 90 more to catch Disco Stu.

And Poor discu Stu doesn't even know I'm taking a run at him. He's probably sitting at home, playing Xbox, not randomly hooking up with super hot half-phillipino half-italian chicks that are 10 years younger than him. Yep, stupid *******. He's going to slip to like, the 7th most post in this thread. LOL.
:lmao: Solid work here Frosty.I actually am sitting at home tonight. Just put the kid to bed. Time to pour some brown water and take a look at the DVR. And buy Flaming Lips tickets.
Saw these guys back in October - was a really fun show. Hope you enjoy.

went to the Trader Joe's tonight and the place was a complete zoo. long lines and empty shelves. people acting like they won't get back to the store until March.
Ridiculous. It's one thing if you live in suburbia or the country, but city folks shouldn't be acting like this. You can always walk a few blocks regardless of the weather. Lame.

I thought this for my entire life, until last year's mid-Atlantic blizzard. I live in a downtown area, and both grocery stores in easy walking distance for me were out of basic perishable stuff like eggs and milk and meat for like two weeks. And the pharmacies and convenience stores weren't much better. Thankfully they never ran out of TP, but I did have to go without my precious wet wipes for a little while. Obviously we could walk to the stores and could walk to restaurants if we didn't have any food at home to cook. The problem was that many of the trucks couldn't get there.

I'm actually starting it next week - have many pounds to shave off before engagement parties and the wedding. I can hook you up for pretty cheap, but you can't drink while you're on the program.

CAN'T DRINK???!!!!!!!!Actually, I plan on quitting for February the way it is. I should lose quite a few pounds just doing that. Is it a pill? An injection? Can I still have my daily portion of deep fried beer battered butter? Any other restrictions?

Oh yeah, I was wathcing the fight Saturday night with some friends, Alexander got jobbed, and my GB said his son got a pet turtle.

That's atrocious. Where did you live? Roads should be back in drivable condition in 12-24 hours.

Question: I'm driving in the right lane of a highway, going about 75 in a 65. Come up a long line of cars, switch over to the left to pass, up speed to closer to 80. Some dingleberry comes roaring up on me doing at least 90. I keep going 80, still passing the long line of cars, but there are a lot and there's no room for me to get over to let him pass, believe me I looked.

He proceeds to tailgate me, getting so close I can no longer see his headlights in my rear or side mirror - I mean he's like, inches away. A small space opens in the right lane, and before I even have a chance to think about getting over he switches lanes and punches it to try to pass me. I, being thoroughly irritated by this guy, speed up to 90 as well, making sure he can't pass me.

He gets back behind me, and at the next opportunity I get over into the right lane so he can go by. As you can imagine, there was much honking and yelling and gesticulating by him as he went by. I merely waved.

Who's the bigger jerk here?

Him. I probably would have brake-jobbed him.

wisco biznitches. your badgers are going down tonight.
If they play like they did against PSU in the 2nd half, yes.

Every single one of our STL delivery agents emailed us to tell us that they are closed. Didn't you get the memo?
I have too many clients outside of the STL area but everything is closed down here. I just heard 2-3 inches of snow an hour all day. I'm going home.

I'd say he was, but even if it's you, well played.

you would have been justified running him off the road or at least driving as slow as possible to never let him pass.

DC. We had multiple foot-plus storms over a week or so. I think we missed something like 7 or 8 days in a row of school and work. Which of course exacerbates the problem because people are at home all day and need stuff there, and then because everyone else is doing it the stuff that did get through was gone immediately. It was a highly unusual situation, though. I still think people always wildly overreact when there's an inch or two in the forecast. It's just that now I understand why people do it if there's a possibility of a huge storm.

He is. You were using the passing lane to pass. You weren't driving there, ambivalent to the world. You were passing. You have no obligation to pass at the rate he wants you to (though passing at an mph barely perceptibly more than the right hand lane drivers does bother me - not what you're doing here...).

This is unpossible. Don't they know we live an adult world, and adult worlds don't have closures because of snow? :)

He is.I would have slowed down just to piss him off even more.

How can I find out what cellphone works up in the northern part of Minnesota on the border with Canada? My sister's house burned to the ground Saturday, and the only phone they have is her husband's work cell. I want to send her one, along with a bunch of other stuff.

I concluded today that Neko Case is one of the finest, if not the finest, singer of our generation.
My son likes that song where she talks about being a "maneater"...something about killer whales eating people or something. Good tune. Wasn't overly impressed with the full album, though.
