Post 2: First beer was delightful - finished 11:35. Drinking Grain Belt Premium (in cans, unfortunately). Second beer opened 11:45.

The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play. So we sat in the house and drank beer all damn day.

Geez, was it really that long ago? I must have been what, about 21 then? I first experienced other people smoking pot when I was in high school. I observed it made them dumb. I've never wanted to be made dumb. In fact had never even tried ANY drug until about five years ago. And then the only thing I ever tried was E, though I've been around cocaine, LSD, mushrooms, etc. I've never liked the way people acted when taking any of those so have never been tempted.ETA: I agree with my fellow pot virgin proninja that it should be legalized, though.

I was going to theorize that you were too much of an overachiever to try the dum? man's drug, but I was afraid you'd take it the wrong way and give me the thorn treatment. ETA: also, we are inverted drug users. I've been around everything but the only one I haven't tried is e (but was never a regular user of anything except the debil's weed). Also, except for one comic occasion chronicled here, I haven't touched anything but alcohol in 15+ years.

First off, 22 YO went away for the weekend with her family to their house on Cape Cod. Next Friday she leaves for a week to go to a conference in Vegas. Since my relationship with her is doomed to end badly, some have suggested I move on and pursue other options, someone even was kind enough to write a song about it. As I've mentioned before, my Dental Hygienist (we'll call her "DH") has piqued my interest and I've been told the interest is mutual. So yesterday I sent her message asking her out via the Facebooks private message technology. I thought my message was alright and even borderline charming:

"Hey... would it be a violation of the Hygienist/Patient code if I were to take you out for a drink some night? What do you say?"

It took her just about 24 hours to respond with:

"Let me get back to you on that "

I don't even know how to respond to that or if I want to respond to it. I've been banging a hot 22 YO for the last 5 months and she's gonna "get back to me on that". I feel like going all

on her.Anyways, I found today that the first girl that I sorta "dated" after my divorce a few years ago has gotten engaged. This girl wasn't that big of a deal to me, but I always felt like she was the "first" girl of the 2nd half of my life. While preparing for my first sexy time experience after divorce, I had developed a freakish ingrown hair from man-scaping and started a thread about it which was deleted within a day. I'll always remember that girl for being my "first" after divorce and for that freakish ingrown hair I got while preparing for her. I just find it ironic that she gets engaged and I'm getting "Let me get back to you on that"
