Semi-Official Uruk-Tumor Update:

Had some photos taken the other day and it appears that Dean Krzyzewski (my pet name for this *******, named after my two most-hated ACC coaches) MAY have shrunk a tad. Lucy Liu (I wish ) still wants to nuke me come January (since I ain't doing it before then), but wants to ramp it up. Looking at a 5-day, 3 week blast of gamma rays. No biggie, as radiation doesn't do much more than make me a little tired (& I suspect some of that is mental).

Anyway, the following is a partial transcript of our conversation:

Lucy: Lump appears to have gotten smaller

Uruk: What's next?

Lucy: Radiation and we will see after that

Uruk: Doc, tell me straight - do you think all of the drugs and alcohol I've ingested may have scared the #### out of the cancer?

Lucy: I will see you in five weeks

This. I have no problem drinking when I am out or when people are over.I am not anti-drinker, but I am not going to apologize for not wanting to drink by myself in front of children.

#2 What if you don't have kids?

Beer is delicious. Why would kids care if you enjoy a tasty beverage in moderation? You're not driving anywhere. Seems like a good example to set for them.

well maybe having kids isn't such a great idea afterall.

Might it be the example he sets while he's drinking? My kids are 7 and 9 and I drink beer around them often. They don't mind since:a) I drink in moderation

iv: I act the same way when I have a beer or a glass of water

First off, I never drink when I'm the only parent at home. But on the weekends, when the wife's around, I have no problem with it. I never drink in excess, so I dont feel bad about it.

I was actually at the game against "The Beltway Ballers", the exhibition that was set up to get Gay. The coach was wearing sweatpants, a t-shirt, and huge dreadlocks. Gay wasn't that great.

SLB contacted me today about his flights and two others have purchased their flights. Two are in Dallas and one in Houston and one in Austin- none of whom will be flying. THat leaves another 6-8 confirmed who have not yet made travel arrangements (to my knowledge). I I won't name names but two of them are females and the others are suspected female body parts.

I've been swamped lately, but will try and do a real update before long.

Also, there are a couple of gmtanners who would liek to come, but are having some atypical FBG money concerns.

I have a couple hundred in that FanBall or whatever thing. If someone wants to try and run that up to a total high to cover some airfares, I'd be happy to throw them the keys.

Homer was going to do it, but he's about as reliable as MOP in a movie theater.
