Random stuff...Wife broke her tailbone this week. She's having a lot of trouble getting around. What sucks is that she is in a lot of pain and has to take something for it. I think I've documented here in the last six months that her previous neurologist was really overprescribing narcotics for her so we switched to a new doctor who doesn't believe in them. She has had a very tough road and now I feel this is a setback. Zach and I worked on his Pinewood Derby car. Inhaled a lot of melting lead fumes and sprayed paint in my eye. #### yea.Speaking of scouts, one if his requirements for his current badge is "Find out how you can help your church, synagogue, temple, etc." We don't go to church. I'm not really sure how to address this.
What rank is he? We don't really go either, maybe 2-3 times a year and a week of VBS in the summer tops, but I thought there were always options to pick and choose among the requirements to where you could kind of skirt around most of that without impacting advancement to the next rank. You didn't have to do every activity to meet the requirements for an activity pin.Now th at he is in Boy Scouts, outside of a short, generic prayer when they start their meetings, the religious aspects are really low key for his troop.
Second year so he's working on his Wolf badge. There are 12 "achievements" in the book, each broken up into activities/requirements. Some of the achievements allow to pick a minimum to to do, but most require all, including achievement 11, "Duty to God".My wife and I have both been in an "uncertain" stage for a number of years, bording on atheism. But we don't cram anything down our kids' throats. He believes in God and that's fine with us, we just don't go to church. So I'm very unsure what to do here.
