I don't know, now we are drifting into that age-old question.... Does "Hand Fart" mean farting on your hand or making a fart noise with your hand.I think it's too deep a question for this thread. We try to keep it light in here.

It's boring; I'm just depressed.I was supposed to leave for Nicaragua yesterday as were my Mom and stepfather. I didn't make it (going tomorrow instead) and now I have 5000 e-mails a day from my Mom. She has been to Nicaragua twice and is decently traveled but is just relying on me for everything. But as I realized, it's because I insist on taking charge of everything and "taking care" of everyone so that if they're suddenly left on their own, all my family/friends seem helpless. Totally my fault for insisting on being in charge all the time.Details?
Relatedly I tearfully told Mr. krista yesterday of how upset I have been because I am forgetting things recently. Really it was just that I have forgotten, twice, for up to 24 hours to forward e-mails that I told someone at work I would forward. He kept telling me that that was not a big deal but for me it IS a big deal. I just don't do that--forget things or not do something I say I'll do. My standards for myself are ridiculously high, and it's not exactly a fun way to live. :(
I'm just tired of not being like other people who can just let things slide. I never can.
And since I have now been a whiny ##### in the thread, I give you a picture of my Nica friend who recently became a grandmother

Last night I had Hot Pockets for dinner, because apparently I hate myself. 
These were Hot Pockets Limited Edition, I told myself, maybe they're better. The BBQ burger flavor wasn't too bad, but the Chili Dog variety, well...I have no doubt there is dog food more palatable. Nevertheless, I ate them, and went to work this morning with four Hot Pockets performing their evil alchemy deep inside me.
Now understand, it's dry here in winter, and when wearing certain shirts, I turn into a weapons-grade Tesla coil of static electricity. When informed by my colon of the, uhmmm, urgency of the situation, I set sail for the restroom, blithely grabbing the doorknob that stood between my bowels and their relief.

I sustained the briefest lapse of structural integrity in the aft bulkhead. Scary, but the underwear was spared. Good thing, too, because I had to go downtown for a meeting after work. The skin of my...cheeks was not so lucky. It was eaten alive by my own bile salts. My pancreas may have given up, but my liver and gallbladder are working just fine, thank you.

I have a friend who has a similar "let me take charge so things will work/why do I always have to do everything" push/pull in her personality. Sometimes when I tell her to just let it go, and let the consequences for things not going exactly as she would like wash over her, it helps. Other times, it doesn't. Cos- Have you ever had any skin issues with your standard poodles? My friends dog keeps on itching, and the vet suggested they change the food, but that hasn't helped. They have changed it three times.

Yes, Molly our black standard had horrible problems for the longest time. Pretty sure it was corn our wheat because when we changed to salmon/sweet potato and chicken/rice food it cleared up and never returned. But change foods slowly, gradually mixing in a portion the new stuff or you can screw up their digestive systems and have runny dog poop to clean up.He is in Atlanta. Yes, this... A sobering reminder of life's fragility and how petty our small everyday problems can seem when looking from the perspective of losing a loved one. I know for both of you, this has not been a surprise, and maybe even a blessing to some extent.
