Interesting development this week is that some of the longtime members have been talking about a grassroots effort to go after some Board of Regents members that seem determined to make UT a diploma mill. A story about the effort ended up in one of the local political rags. Magically, a copyright infrigement letter from UT appeared shortly thereafter, despite the fact that the site has peacefully existed for years.

I'm with you guys. I've always been in the minority, never really got into it. I have friends in their late 20's that still go to the huge wrestlemania events when they roll through town. I don't understand it.

I have friends who do this too, but they made the ironic turn with the "sport." They loved it as kids, idolizing Hogan, Rick Flair, etc., then wrestling admitted it was fake right around the time they realized it was stupid....but they continued watching anyway. It's always amazing to me how much crossover in board slang and humor exists on boards that are incongruent with one another. Reading that was like going to Gary's Old Town Tavern in Boston after hanging out at Cheers for years and years, only to find similar characters, inside jokes and decor.
