Not that the game is going to sell out or anythingWhat do you guys think?
:lmao: I would probably just roll the dice at the box office. If they are at even 20% capacity I'd be surprised. I really don't care which seats, but the $28 ones don't seem too bad. I spoke briefly with guru, and he might be in as well.
Are we talking Astros?what date? Seems like k4s employers should have tickets available. Or I can make a few calls. Sadly my inbev connection moved to Dallas.
Took myself out of that placement today. Seems they wanted someone through 12/31. I just couldn't make that kind of commitment to Houston, compared to going to Granada in August instead. Also would interfere with my new plans to do two epic US roadtrips before moving.

Astros v Mariners on April 23rd. So far it seems like the consensus is walk up to the box office.

I think you made the right choice.

Do the Astros even have ticket scalpers?

Since nobody bothered to reply, I think I'm just going to go for it. Just mixed made a whiskey.

Had some crazy weather here last night. A wind sheer actually snapped my flag pole off with crazy precision. My link

A tornado touched down right on the steet where my cousin's Mom and a GB live. Another GB lives in the subdivision right behind the pics of the damaged apartments. My Link

They're fine.
Happy your OK GB.
Thanks GB. Shoot, we're all fine.

At times. But I think our choices are 1) box office, 2) freebies, 3) stubhub (at a discount vs box office).

I heard they pay you to take the tickets.

Job

getting offered a job by dell soon. Two managers want me (had two interviews Friday). So, yea. But the comp is depressingly low and it would basically reset my résumé since I had the same job 7 years ago.

Wife (crying) "that isn't you and I hate that ####### place from the last time you worked there. But I also don't want to starve to death."

Oh, and business is picking up in a way that if we hasn't burnt our runway the last six months I actually wouldn't be in this spot.

Getting drunk. ####### life.

Also, for those of you tiring of "thrift shop" I can tell you that help is on the way. The new Robin Thicke song "blurred lines" is going to be on the radio 24 hours a day this summer.

Drifter > pretty sure I'm good to go for Keeneland on Friday :excited:
Sweet. I've confirmed for two tickets.

I was informed that there's a small dress code in our "area" (box?). Slacks/shirt, no denim. PITA for me as I wasn't planning on travelling with anything but jeans, tshirts and sneakers since I'm going to be in warehouses for pretty much the entire trip.
So when and where do i need to be?

Still up for poker after if we can make it up in time?

Shuke, how about you? If Drifter and I make it back, want to join the poker game?
Probably 50/50. Will depend on how my wife is feeling. I had to take her to the ER tonight for migraine.
Have you guys tried the Tens Unit yet?
I keep forgetting to talk to her about it.

Dang, I lived through that WAY to many times growing up. It's not too bad I hope? :(
That sucks GB, my sump pump is running every 30 secs. If we lose power I'm sunk.

I started designing an ark today at work, let me know if you want in.
Thanks. It's not terrible but I'm a bit on edge about it. There's like 10 small areas/streams but once I mop up one area and move to another, the previous area is wet again. It just isn't stopping and I don't have $50-75K laying around to get it looked at.
Different areas? Is this a backup or coming through your walls/floor?

Burnt your runway?

Why do you keep putting these in spoilers? Harder to skim.

See, this :unsure smilie is totally off. Why is this not fixed yet? I asked Charv to fix it at LABS and it was done within seconds. Can we put Charv in charge of everything?
What is this LABS that I see mentioned from time to time?
Fantasy football league for the sexually ambiguous.

Or so I've heard.

Burnt runway - sucked up our working capital funding operations during a slow period. So we are having to tighten the belt considerably to survive, which includes getting me off the payroll of the company I founded five years ago.

I agree... sorry I never responded on the PM (stupid work), but from what I know of them you could've been faced with a similar situation that you left...

Good questions. Somtimes these things can fixed relatively inexpensively.

I'm watching a thing on India and the Taj Mahal on PBS and the narrator said "in today's dollars, it would cost 200 million to build". He's smoking crack and meant "billion" right?

No, it's not a backup. It's coming through the walls/floor/bottom of the door jamb.
You should probably have that looked at.
Yeah.

I've emailed a few places already tonight. We've had a flood warning all this week through tomorrow. There's more rain and snow in the forecast til next Friday. 2 of the places sent an auto reply that they are "extremely busy do to the recent weather blah blah blah." Haven't heard from the other one obviously.

Actually, the Indian government and the Taj Mahal "foundation" or whatever it is claims it's 200 million, but independent researchers looking at the cost of gold, the rupee and inflation is estimating the cost to be slightly above 1 billion.

I've got some water coming in one wall. How do I fix it?

So less than a quarter of the cost of an aircraft carrier. Whatever. :coffee:

Abraham>thanks for the interview advice earlier. I waited until Friday AM, then emailed the guy. Turns out he'd just been busy doing actual work all week, invited me out for a facility tour, introduced me to most everyone then we shot the bull with one of the engineers. Sort of felt like it was a "can this guy get alone with us?" interview.

He's out all this week, and he said he'd get back to me next week. So it's not going quickly, but it's going.

It's pretty well documented how much Shah Jahan paid

India has a long and rich history.

I'm not very smart and my job involves playing with big kid toys all day.
