GM's thread about nothing (18 Viewers)

Uruk! So glad your're here! I can go to bed now!

Good grief. Stupid Breaking Bad marathon. I'm gonna pay for this at my parent's house tomorrow.

You mean today?

Yeah, I've stayed away from that marathon. I love the show, but my sleep habits are screwed up enough as it is.

Hey, I finally caught up on the thread!! And in other good news, I had a great weekend.

I can't remember if I have posted in here about it or not, but there is a girl that I've been interested in for a while that I met up with for drinks a month or so ago. She's from Cincinnati originally but lives in Chicago and comes down either for work or pleasure once or twice a month. On our first date, we got locked on the roof of my work. Oops, but hey, great story.

We had made plans to get together to see one band at a 3 day music festival in Cincy this weekend and agreed to figure out the details as it got closer. Ended up hanging out with her Thursday night (I was about 12 beers ahead of her and was a complete drunken mess) til 1am, crashing on my buddy's couch, drinking at work Friday afternoon to chase off the hangover and then miraculously, I hadn't scared her off and we hung out til 2a.

She definitely needs things to move at a slow pace - all I could manage was a sharply hit ground ball to the outfield, leaving me standing on first. Earlier in the day I drunkenly told my buddy that I was Billy ####### Hamilton and swiping 2nd was a guarantee if I could get on base. Yeah, that didn't happen :kicksrock: she did invite me to come visit her in Chicago, so I've got that going for me

I just wanted to thank GM for his excellent stewardship as our league commissioner.

In one of my other leagues with local friends, the commissioner went in and traded the 4 best players from one team for scrubs from his own team to see if the guy would notice. I think it's a joke, but it happened on Thursday and he hasn't reversed it yet. Some pretty good commish shtick though

I'm pretty sure GM has done exactly this. Not sure how else to explain why our rooster has three guys on IR and David Cawkgobbling Wilson.

I feel for ya, man. Friggin 8th graders.

I got pretty drunk at the pedal pub.
We have a pedal pub in Cincinnati, but they don't have a liquor license. So essentially it's just people pedaling a big ### bike instead of walking. It looks like a miserable time
Yet somehow this only rates as the second worst thing you can do downtown. The winner is horse drawn carriage rides around a couple blocks.

Not only is it completely pointless, they have those little catch bins behind the horse so when the horse needs to take a dump, it doesn't get on the road. That's all well and good, but instead it's sitting there festering for the lucky people getting a ride to enjoy the whole way.

It can't be overstated how happy I am about the dog getting that mouse. I've been trying to get the little ******* for over a year.

It's the little things in life. This time literally.

Good work, Nimrod.
The dog gets all the credit. I'll create a Linkedn profile for him and have him endorse you.
Cool, thanks bud. The category I want endorsing in is "Down wit da lay dees!"
"Really good at fetch"

You ever milk a dog? :moneybag:

So my "Time For Service" light came on @ 44K miles on my 2009 Saab 9-3. I bought the car with 30k miles on it.

When called the dealership service center & they told me I was looking @ $1200+ because they needed to do the 30K mile service & the 45K service since I wasn't sure if the 30K service was done. Whaht???

Did some research online, paid $45 for an oil/filter change, tire rotation & 15 point inspection (w/ a coupon), spent another $40 on cabin & engine air filters & installed them myself.

Screw you dealership!!!!!!
