GM's thread about nothing (22 Viewers)

Not to take away from the epic DSP shot video, but I have a question for the parents in here.

Earlier today, I walked into the room where my 7.5 month old was sitting in her bouncer. She was completely rigid, legs straight out, and her hands/arms were shaking as if she was having a tremor.

She's done it once since then.

The Internet - usually the worst place to go with questions like these - seems to think this is no big deal, and we're really not alarmists, but I'll be honest: it's scary to witness.

Anyone have a kid with these types of incidents?
Serious question, was she trying to push out a poop?

If not, I'd make an appointment with the pediatrician.

Entirely possible. She's on a solid food supplement at this point, which I hear makes babies constipated. She's been on it for months, though, with no issues. I wondered if that was it, but it's still really unnerving. Thank you for the inout.
Bentley's going to be jealous.

My plan for the evening has commenced. Re-watching the first three episodes of True Detective, followed up by the new one that airs later.

Bought an 18-pack earlier, and actually went back into the store to get another one cause I knew 18 wasn't gonna be enough. Be prepared, I always say. :banned:

Thankfully, I won't be around much for tonight's stupidity.
Yeah I'm watching True Detective tonight also, haven't seen it yet but have been looking forward to it.

This last week can go suck it. My MIL went into the hospital on Thursday due to extreme dehydration caused by what turned out to be a bacterial infection in her intestines. Got discharged yesterday, had vision problems today and is back in because she had a mini-stroke and bleeding on the brain possibly caused by one of the medications they gave her. No idea yet what they're trying to do to help her at this moment.

I also had to take her dog and have him put to sleep on Thursday while she was in the hospital because he had kidney failure, was in pain and peeing all over the place.

On top of all of that, I feel like crap today and have a brown river running out of me which means I may have picked up the same fun bacteria my MIL has. 4 year old daughter also had a messy accident last night which is extra terrifying thanks to the jacked up autoimmune/hematology disorder she has where her body will sometimes start destroying her own blood cells when she gets sick.

Good times.

And noe I get to drive my wife up through the snow and dark into the paradise of Camden, NJ to drop her off at the hospital to be with her mom.
Damn. Very sorry.
:goodposting:

Feel free to vent in here if you like, GD. :(
:goodposting: Sorry to hear, GD.

Jeez, that is a crappy week. Hang in there, man.

Romowife: i would definitely let the pediatrician know just so it can be documented in the event it becomes on going. You said it happened again. What do you mean?

I cant do the video til at least saturday. She lives two hours away
It's a shot video, you're not going to win any Oscars. I have faith you can produce this masterpiece without her assistance.
Not without a computer and wecam which she has. I also cant drink here because its a halfway house. If I get caught sneaking beer in I will either have to go to detox for two weeks or im homeless. I have to do it at her place
Smartphone has a camera and video recording capabilities.

I know we don't see eye to eye much but that ####### sucks, sorry NJ sucks too. Get well and book a mini trip down to Florida and enjoy some sunshine while your buddies freeze their nuts off another 6-8 weeks up there.

My wife's good friend has a boy the same age as my son... About 6 months ago, the kid was about the same age as your child... He had a seizure, eyes rolled to the back of his head and passed out - he came to quickly, but there was no question as to what had happened. She called 911, they went to the hospital and all was well. She took the kid to the pediatrician the next day and he appeared fine. Anyways, no such issues since that one time to my knowledge. I haven't asked my wife about it n a while, but our kids play together once or twice a week, so I assume there aren't any issues.

I'd go to the pediatrician anyways, but I wouldn't be to worried

I just paid way too much for terrible food just so I could order online and not talk to anyone. That's probably a sign of something.

Understandable, but.....................................think of the entertainment when you have to explain to people that you're homeless because you got caught filming yourself doing a shot video in a halfway house at the suggestion of people from the internet that you've never met. Just think about it a little more before you say no.
I love you.

Any mattress shopping advice?
:blackdot: I've got a new king bed in the garage waiting to be assembled, just need to find a mattress now.
I've bought at least half a dozen memory foam mattresses from Amazon the last couple years and all have been good. Find the best you can afford with great reviews. I've spent from 200 -500 each.
I've heard they "sleep hot".
The one we have doesn't. It's not as comfortable as I had hoped but it's much better than a spring mattress. I would like to try one of those sleep number air mattress thingys.

I do the same thing, got a mom n pop pizza delivery place that you can order on line and they will call to confirm and give you the time they will be there. I still have to talk to someone but it's a simple confirmation and done in 3-5 seconds, the orders are perfect every time.

That was my reason for not getting one for a long time. Got one back in May, never had any issues with that. At least not anymore than a regular bed with a 250 lb slab of fatty manmeat laying on it.
You have my attention!

And a huge lack of memory on my model.

I also need a place where I can drink

Had to turn around part way to the hospital. Roads were terrible and it was snowing so hard the visibility was down to a couple hundred yards. Feel awful for my wife and MIL that she can't be there, but couldn't risk the safety of my wife and daughter. Hoping they get her stabilized tonight and we can get up there tomorrow. I guess they have her on morphine and oxygen to keep her calmed down or something.

On a positive note, I didn't crap myself during the 45 minutes it took us to drive 6 miles, turn around and drive 6 more miles.

Thanks for the good wishes all.

I'm going out to have some dinner at a place where the following is on the menu ( :hey: YSR):

I would call the pediatrician no schtick. Not any guess as to what it is/was but I would be calling the on call ped.

I'd take 20 wozi over this.
I am coming to this conclusion myself.
I'll buy a ticket on this train.

I don't know but if it's something serious like a seizure I'd want to know. Call your pediatrician's help line (most have them) and ask.

Its ADHD. Pick up some Ritalac formula
Someone's real 7mth old child is not something to joke around about.

Most likely nothing, but my rule of thumb when it comes to the kids, take them in anyway. It doesn't hurt to have the pediatrician check, just for ease of mind.

My wife went out to lunch with a friend this afternoon. About 20 minutes after she left, she calls me to tell me she left her wallet at home. She asks me for advice and I am  I tell her to ask her friend to see if she can pick up the bill this time and she will repay the favor next time.

Pretty simple solution. She was stressed out and when she saw her friend, dropped her cell phone and shattered the screen. Luckily we have insurance on the phone but it is going to be a PITA to go to the AT&T store and haggle with those people for a replacement.

Since we have insurance, it should be a easy fix. Has anyone had experience with this? Do we just get a new phone? Is there a deductible involved? We have the S4.

City shutdown in full effect. Out of beer. This could get ugly.
what did you try texting me?I think you butt dialed me yesterday too. voice mail was just white noise.
The sound of my people....Was looking for curling bets. :bag:
the tournament that's the most interesting this year is the women's (Russia!). Some interesting lines for tonight's action. I haven't locked it down yet, but will be going in pretty heavy
I probably won't be reposting these in this thread again (won't remember), but here's for tonight.

Women's curling:

Canada should win their matchup against China, but they have been less than perfect lately (narrow wins), so not betting them today.

Russia and Denmark has played tight matchups, but Denmark holds a slight edge with a better Euro Championship showing (beat them twice), At +120, that's worth a TV unit, because you want to watch Russia play, trust me.

Sweden -1.5 +140 is just too high of a line in a game that shouldn't be that close....

Swiss will mop the floors (no pun intended) with the US IMO, but the line is rough. I am going to play them ML with the Sweden ML for a +111 two team parlay.

Thanks GB. I couldn't parlay them on SB, but I played Denmark and Sweden. Is this on the TV tonight?

Dont worry folks ill be posting a chug video soon. My gf is going to help
Why don't you just have her do the shot video instead
She doesnt drink. I cant do a shot video becwuse Idont like liquor. Im going to chug two 22oz of guiness stout.

Is that good enough?
I don't trust people who don't drink bourbon.
I don't know if I'd go that far. I know plenty of women who don't like bourbon that I trust.
I can't help you if you are naturally inclined to trust women, in the first place.
SNOW SHUT IN 2014 means we've been living off of Alabama's finest smoked sausage. I love you. And your sausage. And I don't care who knows about it.
My sausage is delicious. I made jambalaya with some tonight.

Making a joke at the expense of a 7mth old sure points in that direction.

Hope you dig it as much as I do. Rare for me to fall so head-over-nutsack for a show so quickly. It's a slow burn kind of show but it hooked me from the jump.

Making a joke at the expense of a 7mth old sure points in that direction.Atvthe expense of a 7 month old? Do you hear how ridiculous you sound? It was a joke about the medical industry not a child.

People are making jokes about child abuse on this board left and right and this is what you find offensive?
