Just got back from taking daughter to eye doctor. After a couple years of patching and she's still exhibiting exotropia, doctor is recommending surgery. I think we are going to get a second opinion from doctor at main campus of Children's. The only reason we stopped seeing her is because she went on medical leave about a year ago but is back now I guess.

This broad I know is vacationing in NOLA this week (she and her husband go at least twice a year). She posts on FB about it every 36 minutes. One of her pics was of some "world famous" bloody mary with 4lbs of garnish including a damn shrimp. Somebody replied with "that looks like a backed-up sink".

That would have been nice. Mine consisted of olives and pickles. Not even a damn celery stalk.

I might market this as the latest / greatest diet fad. I got on the scale today and was down about 5 pounds due to booze influenced dehydration

Oh it isn't that I didn't think you were capable, I just figured you wouldn't want to screw with it. I used to do it myself with Turbo Tax but I always felt like I was missing deductions or somethings. If your Dad was a CPA, with you lawyer skillz and all too, I'm sure you don't feel this way.

Personally I like not having to do it and I really like having an extra layer of accountability in there.

I just figured it was kind of like how almost everybody in my neighborhood has a lawn service. Except me of course. I like to do it plus I'm kind of cheap when it comes to stuff like that.

So in this doctor's opinion, it is time for surgery before her brain becomes too accustomed, as I guess it will be harder to correct as she gets older. She doesn't have vision problems, but she has stereo-something problems, she can't pick out 3D objects.

I have no reason to think that anything is wrong, but I've been anxious about this for about a week now. This isn't even an asking-for-TPW situation, because I don't necessarily have anything bad that I'm going through, but if you're in the mood to send some positive juju in the air today, I'd appreciate it.

gotcha....best of luck. from everything i hear (and assuming it's the same type of surgery), it should take care of everything and is pretty routine. Although that's easy to read than actually going through with it for a child.

i would love to talk to you about this. my daughter suffers from the opposite, strabismus, or esotropia. we have patched for years. not as consistently as we should have, but it is getting better. how old is your daughter? mine is 7
