I'm 35 and have never been called in for jury duty once. Not in any of the cities I've lived in...not sure how that's happened, but I'm totally fine with it. I know the whole "judged by a jury of your peers" thing is one of the things that this country is supposed to be about. But the thought of having to catch up on all the work that I'm missing sounds horrible.

I'm going to hit quota in my second month at my new job, which is very unusual at my company. After getting kicked in the nuts repeatedly over the last two years when it comes to work, I am quite proud of this. My wife is understandably happy about the $ I am making and the $$$$ that hitting quota means since I'm just about out of #### to sell on Craigslist for extra cash. Me? I don't even care about the $. I'm just glad to actually be feeling that I'm good at what I do again. .

any of you guys good with financial planning? noticed all of my 401K is allocated to 1 fidelity fund...wondering if I gave someone a list of the available funds (I think only 40 or so choices) if I should diversify between a few of them and which ones are best

I'm no licensed expert by any means, but fidelity has funds tailored to the year you an on retiring. I believe they're called "life path" funds.

FWIW, it's the only fund I have in my 401k.

At a very high level, The investments on the fund start out more risk(916) 626-2120y and as you get closer to retirement they get more conservative.

San Francisco is an amazing city. Really nearly perfect. Natural beauty, awesome food, easy to navigate by foot or transit.

My wife and I have talked about moving into a vibrant city after the kids are out of the house and this might be at the top of my list right now.

What volume level did you put on the TV at the hotel?

16 seems about right.

We took the boys to the Soulard Market yesterday. Awesome place but I've never been there on a Saturday morning before. Place was all Disco Stu'ed up. Tons of people walking around drinking Bloody Mary's and I didn't want to look like a square so I got one too.

Anyhow, after walking around and buying some stuff, we head inside where all of the butchers and and some candy shops are. They boys see a place that has chocolate dipped Oreo & Reeses "sandwiches" and begin to spazz. Mrs. SLB takes them inside and I hang outside enjoying drink. There's a black family sitting on a bench with two kids, a boy probably 5-6 and a girl 9-10. Then this other black guy walks by and I couldn't tell if he was retarded or just smoked a lot of crack, but he kept trying to give the girl a peach. All I could think of was Homer and I almost died of laughter.

So my wife broke her foot. It happened on vacation which has been a nightmare because of multiple issues with red tape but especially pain care. ####### doctor gave her 10 Tramadol. The foot is wrapped in a splint, purple and throbbing, and Tramadol is a really weak med. I understand it's a risk of fraud since they don't know us, but *******mit they have the X-ray showing the break.

Tl;dr: Pillheads have wrecked the pharmacy system.

That sucks, sorry to hear. Tramadol is a weird drug. I've taken it and haven't felt any difference and I've taken it and felt ####ed out of my mind. I hope your wife gets something to help her out GB.

They also rewrapped her foot since the other place did a crappy job there too. Probably cost us another $500 but I'm glad she has some relief. They prescribed Vicodin.If you're ever in Raleigh, Duke Medical Center sucks balls.
