When we were in Vietnam, we stopped at a stork sanctuary somewhere in the Mekong Delta. It was incredible, with thousands and thousands of storks flying everywhere, hanging out in the trees, etc. Stunningly beautiful. After an hour or so, our guy said we could eat lunch there. They had only one item on the menu. Stork. Neat "sanctuary".

I started taking my boys to the Blazer games in 2008-2009. Thought it would be great to let them pick out jerseys. Cooper selected the hottest jersey going in the arena - the Face of the Franchise, the Poster Boy of Portland - Brando Roy. Kellen - playing center on our 1st grade basketball team - selected fellow Center Greg Oden, the once in a generation lottery pick that would change the defensive landscape of Portland forever.

They didn't even get to outgrow the damn things.

There is something similar to the Stork story in Montana. A beautiful National Bison Range where you can drive around and gawk at bison and antelope and other giant creatures that glare at you menacingly as you roll past them at 5 MPH in a car they could crush. You get done, there's a wonderful little burger joint next door with delicious huckleberry milkshakes and a wide selection of bison burgers.
