Harrington starts today per ESPN (1 Viewer)

This might actually help Chambers owners a bit. CPepp wasn't looking to Chambers enough imho. No real effect on Brown as he was in for a tough day either way.

I still think Saban will get the Phins turned around this year. Maybe this is the first step -- let Cpepp get rested and healthy before throwing him back in there

From FinHeaven.com message boards:

They just announce on 790 that Joey will start today agaisnt the Pats.....GO JOEY!.....i have serious faith in him....lets hope the score is something like 28-14 dolphins!!....im really estatic just to watch joey play....just imagine how the turn around would be if we won this game.....
And ESPN has a story by Mort
I wish you all the best with Joey.-Lions fan.
As a Lions fan it would be fitting for Joey to come out and have a huge day. I seriously believe it could happen if for no other reason than that add to the misery of Lions fan.

Daunte Culpepper will not start for the Dolphins, according to ESPN.

If Joey Harrington plays poorly, Nick Saban can go back to Culpepper citing his shoulder injury as the primary reason for missing Week 5. If Harrington plays well, Culpepper may stay on the bench for a while. Culpepper is actually the team's third quarterback Sunday. Cleo Lemon is the backup.

CBS says #3

Culpepper to be No. 3 QB

Daunte Culpepper, QB MIA

News: ESPN reports that Miami QB Daunte Culpepper (shoulder) will be listed as the No. 3/emergency QB for Week 5 at New England. Joey Harrington will start for the Dolphins.

Analysis: Owners who have Culpepper have to reserve him for now. If Culpepper loses his starting gig, then definitely drop him for a more reliable Fantasy option, but don't act too quickly since this might be a one-week thing.

Culpepper's "injury" is the excuse Saban was looking for.

If Harrington plays well, Culpepper's injury will mysteriously linger.

If Harrington plays badly (or if he puts up stats similar to Culpepper), then Culpepper will magically get better by next week.

I wonder if the Patriots Defense now becomes an even better play this week with Harrington under center?
I think the Dolphins offense will actually produce today. I'd upgrade Chambers and Ronnie imo...
Ummmm ...... why is that?
This pathetic offense will take anything it can get for a spark. How many times have you seen a change made, then the team blow up. I like Harrington as a pure passer much more than Pep. If Harrington can throw some deep balls to Chambers, it will finally open up some lanes for Ronnie. It was similar to Brad Johnson taking over for Pep in Minny. Johnson is the pure passer and the offense ran perfectly. Johnson = Harrington. Dolphins will lose today, but will finally score some points.

What type of an effect will this have on the other skill position players?

Positive or negative effect for;

Ronnie Brown

Chris Chambers

Marty Booker

Wes Welker

Randy McMichael

the NE def is a very tempting play, but i've seen it all too much where a QB thrown away from another teams, finally gets his break on a new team and performs well....harrington isn't going to light the league on fire, but he'll likely fumble less. watch ronnie brown to get a ton of touches

Looking good so far. Ronnie finally in for a score. Joey 12/15...
