heathens vs. non-heathens.I don't recall any K-12 events on Sundays. Dance and travel sports - yes, but not school activities.
dance and travel sports are well-known havens for heathens.

When my son was in little league his championship game was on father's day three straight years. I couldn't have been happier, to be honest. Best present I could ever hope for.mozzy84 said:My kid has a lacrosse tourney on fathers day. Never would have crossed my mind as being in the way of something.
Well there you go FFA. This guy thinks it is dumb and obviously speaks for the entire community. Case closed.lowe said:Father's Day is just another useless "holiday".
Kind of dumb to be upset.
Tournaments are one thing. Awards dinners are already dumb on their own.Could be worse. We will have hockey tournaments on thanksgiving.

Not show up.My wife’s close friend scheduled their daughter’s baptism for Father’s Day. Trying to figure out the ideal way to show my displeasure.
They’re both just days made up to sell ####.interesting perspective here. particularly in light of the recent inviolable holiday that is Mother's Day.
father's day = "just another day"![]()
Show up in a satan custom? My wife’s close friend scheduled their daughter’s baptism for Father’s Day. Trying to figure out the ideal way to show my displeasure.

I feel exactly the same, but I extend that to my father as well.My youngest daughter has had her dance recital on Fathers Day for 7 years in a row. I embraced it and look forward to it.
What better way to spend it?
I'm sorry, I don't understand those who would rather be away from family and golf with friends, etc. on Fathers Day.
I want to spend it with my girls while they are still around and want to be with their dad!
could your dad come down to your daughters award cermony and then you take him out to to dinner that would be a pretty good day for a granddad trust me on that one take that to the bank bromigoI feel exactly the same, but I extend that to my father as well.My youngest daughter has had her dance recital on Fathers Day for 7 years in a row. No, but the solution is to go to the awards ceremony and skip the family meetup. Obviously celebrating my daughter's accomplishment is important. But to me it seems strange that they would select this day. But I have come to realize, in this thread, that not as many people use this as a family day as I suspected.could your dad come down to your daughters award cermony and then you take him out to to dinner that would be a pretty good day for a granddad trust me on that one take that to the bank bromigo
