Pic #8 just loops back to this thread.

Fixed.  Man, 2nd time that's happened.  Not sure why.
Doesn't matter.  Just keep putting up links to fit young women stretching and running and you will keep getting votes from me. (Unless, of course, another charity enters the fray and they have bikini models on trampolines.)

Summit Speech School  42.7% (-0.3%)

Girls on the Run  25.8%  (+0.4%)

Family Promise  17.8% (-0.1%)
The rest...who cares.

Gap at 16.9%.  We started with a gap of 22.8%, so we've cut the gap down by 1/4 in 2 days.

I don't see "Sexy Speech Impaired Sweeties" being a thread topic.

"Family Promise" doesn't scream sexy either.

"Jakes Ride" might have an interesting angle depending on which way you swing NTTATWWT

"Bridges Outreach," meh.

Now..."Down the Block" might be a threat if they can get their act together.  We all know there's some questionable taste in ladies on the FBG, and some dirty ladies DTB that are DTF might get some votes.

I saw the standings, and I was like, 'Summit Speech School??  Freaking fixing lisps and sheet?  Come on, how is that leading???'

Then I double-checked.  Deaf kids.  Ooof.

I voted again, mainly because this thread puts Band on the Run in my head which is nice, but....man.  Deaf kids.  Tough one.

Yeah.  They're all probably pretty good charities.  It's nice of the Real Estate agent to even do this little program.

Summit Speech School  42.7% (0.0%)

Girls on the Run  26.0% (+0.2%)

Family Promise  17.7% (-0.1%)

Gap is at 16.7.  What's more concerning is that SSS didn't drop, which means they are keeping pace and getting 42.7% of the new votes, while GotR are getting more, it's making it harder to close the gap.

Please re-vote today if you haven't already.

Is the poll closed?

Nope.  Runs till this Real Estate company sells their 100th house.  Not sure exactly when, but they say mid April usually.

Bumping for today's voting.  I'm about to run to a meeting, but I'll update the totals and give some new HGotR shortly.

Another day, voting is open to everyone again.  VOTE HERE

As SteelCurtain noted, gap is down to 15.1%.  I want to see SSS in the 30's by EOD today.  That's the stretch goal!  There is still time to get this done.  Surprisingly, FP actually picked up add'l votes too, so that's actually helping to bring down SSS's %'s as well.

Today's HGotR is from down under...I think many of you know her...

I voted ... why did you wait so long to post this?  Thought it's only fair SSS gets a huge head start against the power of the FBGs?

Funny story...There used to be like 25 charities or something in the running for the prize.  They had prelim rounds, and these are the finalists.  GotR were winning their earlier rounds pretty handily.  When the final round started, my wife expected them to be doing OK.  She checked in a few days ago and was shocked to see the lead SSS had, so she asked me to, "As your little friends on that football site if they can help," because I'd mentioned to her previously how we've had good voting blocks in other contests.

I kind of don't mind the head start.  Makes it more interesting and engaging to see us catching up.

Lunchtime update -

I know we FBG's are supposed to band together, but these are deaf kids we are trying to beat! It doesn't feel right.

Get yourself together man!  Deaf kids will learn from their heartbreaking and crushing defeat just like everyone else!  You're building their character.

Bump for the PM crowd.  I've noticed we tail off our gains as the day goes on, which means those of you voting are voting early.  THANK YOU!  Remember, tomorrow's a new day.  I want to see SSS below 40%!

I'll give you guys some new HGotR tomorrow to keep the motivation up.

Hint: Tomorrows HGotR is good with a pole.

Morning all!  TGIF and happy voting.  Today's the day we push the deaf kids below 40.  Let's do this.

Interestingly, we barely picked up anything, but SSS dropped, which means some of the lower charities had some votes last night.

As promised, to keep Friday motivation high, I present some links of a HOT GotR who really knows her way around a pole.

Many of us have different I.P addresses we post from at night.  Don't believe the voting is done yet for the day.  I will likely peek back in from home tonight, and will take the time to drop another vote when I do.  You just need to keep this on the first page since my attention span is quite limited.
You can vote from the same computer as much as you want in a day, but each vote requires a different facebook login.

Summit Speech School  40.3%  (-0.6%)

Girls on the Run  28.3%  (+0.6%)

What a surge!  Narrowed the gap by 1.2% in just a few hours!  We've almost got them in the 30's.  I think it actually helps us when the lower-ranking charities get votes as it dilutes the pool some.

I tried to vote today but I am unable to because I don't have a facebook account.  Lame
it should still let you. I don't have one either and have voted twice a day since this came up. It'll take you to a new tab for facebook, but the voting page should still be there and count.

KEEP VOTING - We're gaining on them.

We've gained, but SSS's decline has slowed a bit.  This is the 1st poll I've seen that works off % and not just pure vote count.  Makes it a lot harder to know what you really need to move the needle because in theory, the more people vote, the less "value" 1 vote has.  I guess ultimately it's the same as any other poll, just a lot harder to get a handle on what's needed to surpass another entrant.  If there are 10,000 votes total, we're 1,150 votes behind.  If there are only 1,000 votes, its' only 115.

Based on the movement we've seen in the %'s, I'd think that there's a little more than 1,000 votes in total because every few votes moves the %'s....
