Zero. I get stripped of the ball numerous times and left with my shorts pulled down around my ankles by my own teammates at the end of it.
That's a more interesting question. I'm 6'4" and 215, reasonably lean and fit. I can't dunk anymore, but I can still get up high enough in that setting. I think I could handle myself reasonably OK in the paint in the WNBA. I could probably grab some offensive boards and get a few put-backs at the very least. I'd damn sure wear a cup though because the nut-shots would probably come early and often. How many points would you score in a WNBA game?
Better question. How many points would you score in a WNBA game?
Probably 0 on this one too.How many points would you score in a WNBA game?
I agree with thisYou don't guard one person in a game... you have played I hope?If all depends on if they want to stop you or not. If they give you open shots, you might could score. If they REALLY want to stop you, you would never score.
The reason you can score on former nba players in the gym is because they absolutely don't care. If they were giving it their all they would completely shut you down.
Screens, picks, loose balls, rebounds... you never have your defender "giving their all" to stop you from scoring. It isn't one on one. They help, they switch, they end up in the wrong place in transition... 100 ways to find yourself free from defense enough to score. You aren't necessarily scoring on your defender, you are hitting a shot that you found or earned.
One on one, sure - the scenario isn't one on one.
Even if I got the ball and was wide open, I'm not sure that it would be the smart move for me to shoot, rather than try to pass it to a teammmate who is more likely to make the shot. Maybe if the shot clock was running down. It’s not that hard to imagine that they would leave a guy that they aren’t worried about at all open 4 or 5 times in 48 minutes

No one on this board has the knowledge of spacing concepts and NBA-level flow, let alone at the speed of the NBA game, to "get lost" by an NBA defense.I agree with thisThe guys saying that they will score are not talking about taking a NBA player off the dribble or shooting over themYou don't guard one person in a game... you have played I hope?If all depends on if they want to stop you or not. They are talking about getting wide open (lost) in the flow of a game
You have seen teams breakdown defensively and leave superstars like Kevin Durant wide open a couple of times a game. Its not that hard to imagine that they would leave a guy that they arent worried about at all open 4 or 5 times in 48 minutes
Still leaves rebounds, turn overs, loose balls, transition, defenders switching, defenders helping off you, luck... and even NBA players make mistakes. No knowledge of systems required.Tennessee_ATO said:No one on this board has the knowledge of spacing concepts and NBA-level flow, let alone at the speed of the NBA game, to "get lost" by an NBA defense.Yenrub said:I agree with thisThe guys saying that they will score are not talking about taking a NBA player off the dribble or shooting over themmatuski said:You don't guard one person in a game... you have played I hope?shader said:If all depends on if they want to stop you or not. This one's easier to prove than your 176 IQ.You are seriously underestimating my lateral movement
Why would they guard the white guy?
20+
Sorry, misread WMBA
Not sure where I would be able to run this drill but I think I would get a good time even without any training. This one's easier to prove than your 176 IQ.You are seriously underestimating my lateral movement
Do the NBA combine's
This is a good point. A motivated NBA player would absolutely lock down every weekend warrior on this site.Another classic hypothetical
You and 7-8 other guys from your office against the Chicago bulls.
Every point they win by each player gets a 1 million dollar bonus.....so if they win by 50 each player gets a 50 million dollar bonus.
What is the final score?
250+ to under 20. They would press you into about 75 turnovers, a shot clock violation by the scrub team would be a positive possession. The only reason I say under 20 and not 0 is because sooner or later the scrubs would get over half court and throw up some wild 3's. Over 48 minutes any where from 1 to 6 would go in.Another classic hypothetical

Ballsy, I am not even sure we would get the ball inbounds let alone across the timeline in under 8 seconds...msudaisy26 said:250+ to under 20.
