Danny Leroux mentioned the other day that it seems like the best pathway to advancing out of the group stage is to have two bad teams in your group and make sure you beat up on them, then play the other two teams close and hopefully go 1-1. That is how Phoenix and New York did it. Will be interesting to see how teams play it next year after having this experience (assuming all rules are the same)

You don't need to weight them more. Just give points for every miss in the knockouts based on how you weighted them this year. I thought you had the perfect setup.
