Hurricane Sandy (1 Viewer)

Hurricane tip #74: If you lose power while shaving your balls, place flashlight in candle holder and place on floor between two plastic lawn chairs. Stand on lawn chairs (one foot on each), continue until manscapping is complete.

HURRICANE FORCE WIND GUSTS OF 70 AND POSSIBLY 80 MPH ARE EXPECTED TO IMPACT A REGION LOCATED BETWEEN BEL AIR MD...POINT LOOKOUT MD...AND HAGERSTOWN MD BETWEEN 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM TUESDAY. THIS INCLUDES THE GREATER BALTIMORE AND WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN AREAS.
12 hours of 70-80 MPH wind gusts are going to devastate the trees around here. Will also be interesting to see how all the housing developments around here hold up.Also - I just lost my DirecTV signal for 30 seconds. That sucked.

Now 54,000 LIPA customers with no power. They have called in repair crews. LIPA spokeman said could be 7 to 10 days to restore power once it's all said and done.

for those with DirecTV, and still have power, they are dedicating channel 325 and 349 for all news on the hurricane

You doing alright down there pal?
yup, no complaints yet. just noticed i was missing a shingle on the side of my house that had a nice hole coming in, so i threw up a board. it will be interesting tonight though, if those winds come like they say they will we will have all sorts of crap flying around. 3/4 of my neighbors have pumpkins and halloween decs, along with the usual stuff. i have to say though, seeing a witch with a broom flying around

From Facebook

They are stupid. Maybe they can form a human wall!

Damn, that's a lot of trips back and forth to fill up gas tanks for generators.

NOt too bad here in Norfolk area....worst yet to come though
I thought the worst was over at least as far as tidal flooding. How long til we are in the clear?
Worst for tidal flooding is done for us...but not the worst of the wind and potential for power outages. The next 7 -10 hours will bring the worst of the wind.
