The Panthers are the huge threat to the Seahawks.

Seattle looks tough. Might not be the popular pick but I'd worry about the Packers if I was them. Don't ever count out a team with Rogers at qb. He can light up any defense and win a game on his own.

I think it's Indy or Denver out of the AFC. Denver only if their offense keeps rolling. A few mistakes, though, and they can fall to an opponent easily (I hate to say).

Green Bay is going to be interesting to watch today. They are getting back potentially the best player in the NFL and his top weapon in Cobb. That's a hell of a talent infusion. Whether they can hit the ground running is going to be the question. This offense, once it clicks with Cobb, Jordy, Lacy, Starks, and Jones is going to be unstoppable. Hopefully they can get it right today.

Too bad their defense stinks, even worse that Denver's. But unlike the Broncos, the Packers, if they make it, will likely have to do the majority of their playoff damage on the road, and that is hard to do with a defense that porous. I would never deny how great Aaron Rodgers is, but even with him and those weapons, the Packers were still ousted in the divisional round the last two years, in large part because their defense got torn to shreds by the Giants and 49ers.

all true. However that's why they play the games. I fully expect them to struggle against the NFC playoff teams, every team is going to be tough.

Seems like anyone could come out of the AFC, Bengals look particularly good right now and I think they'll crush SD next week.

Eagles seem way too inconsistent and Foles doesn't have much experience in big games in college or the pros, that's problematic. 49ers are red hot, they are easily the biggest threat to the two top seeds.

That wasn't all on Cam and NO has been practically unstoppable at home. The defense played crappy and this team isn't built to make that kind of comeback. Keep it within 10 and they got a shot. Once NO was up by 14 it was really tough sledding and their D could just tee off.

There is no doubt Seattle is a tough road game but they are beatable at home if you have the defense. I don't think we'll see the defense not show up in the playoffs.

I was curious to see the history of how the championship games turned out, so here's the breakdown since the league adapted their current playoff format in 2002. The first column is the higher seed, the second column the seed of the team they faced in the title game, and the last column is the number of times that combination occurred. They have been 22 conference championships in that time span. Clearly prior outcomes have no impact on this year's future results.

One would expect a 1 vs. 2 match up would be the most likely outcome, and that has happened the most times. 13 out of 22 times the #1 seed got to host a home game to go to the SB. The flip side to that is 9 out off 22 one seeds lost their first game. 15 times the 2 seed advanced to the league championship games . . . two more times than the top seed.

3 seeds advanced that far 4 times. 4 seeds also advanced that far 4 times. 5 seeds did it 3 times. 6 seeds won their first two games 5 times.

2 times non bye week teams got to host a game to go to the SB.

Graham has been playing with partially torn plantar fascia. If you want to, it's pretty easy to stop someone with that since most with that are on IR. It's really unbelievable that people don't know this.

Winner of the SF-Carolina game is going to give them a run because both teams have a QB that can run in ####ty conditions AND both teams have a D that can matchup vs the Seattle D. IT will come down to who doesn't make a mistake in that game. Old school football meets new football rules. Watch the hitting cause that type of penalty could cost the team the game.
