It's been a great run Peyton - now enjoy retirement.. (1 Viewer)

I think we can all see where this is headed: Brock Osweiler is going to start the playoff game, he's going to be mediocre, the Broncos are going to be trailing by 10+ in the 4th quarter, Kubiak is going to put Manning in there as a desperation move, and then Manning will throw a pick-6 to finish off his career.

There will be no storybook ending.

Worse yet, the Broncos might not even make the playoffs.

I could see Kubiak pulling the same move in Week 17. Broncos trailing in the 4th quarter, playoff spot in the line, Kubiak puts a rusty Manning into the game, and Manning proceeds to throw the game away.

I must get 5-6 messages per day lately from Rotoworld notifying me of Peyton Manning's status, and I am so sick of it. WHO CARES?? Would you please retire like you should have last year?? Face the music that you are finished. It's been a great ride, but you just aren't what you need to be anymore.

from what i have been reading looks like a lot of the top male and female athletes in all sports are using a steroid called DELTA-2 because it is undetectable with hgh and steroid testing.

Human growth hormone was banned by the NFL’s collective-bargaining agreement in 2011, but the Players Association refused to sign on to HGH testing until 2014 and no NFL player has ever tested positive for the drug. Many doping experts, civil liberties lawyers, union officials and athletes have questioned the value of HGH testing, which is conducted through screening blood, not urine like other drugs.

The Food and Drug Administration restricts off-label use of HGH, which can only be prescribed to patients suffering from a handful of maladies, including AIDS wasting and pituitary gland disorders.

According to the Al Jazeera report, Sly is a fan of a hormone supplement called Delta-2, which is banned by MLB, because he says it is undetectable.

“There’s a bunch of football players who take this, and a bunch of baseball players who take it too,” Sly tells Collins in the documentary.

Harrison, Zimmerman and Howard denied using the drugs to Al Jazeera, while Neal, Peppers, Matthews and Tyson did not respond to the network’s request for comment.

A LITTLE ABOUT DELTA-2

Delta-2 is a hormone supplement that was banned by the NFL in the 2011 collective bargaining agreement and is also on Major League Baseball’s list of performance enhancing drugs.

According to various reports Delta-2 is not detectable. It is considered a prohormone with an active ingredient that closely resembles that in the designer steroid madol.

The second reference to the doctor calls him a "neuropathic physician" and I'm not even sure that's a thing.

Manning seems like a smart guy. If he was doing this, is one degree of separation between his name and the drugs, the best plan he could come up with?

PSI or PEDs....let's see what our great media thinks is more important...both non stories IMO

Manning's people admit that Mannings wife received HGH but say it was for her and the reasons won't be disclosed.

HGH doesn't get prescribed for many things, so either you believe she happened to have one of those things or there might be fire behind that smoke.

Personally I don't really care if he was using it, I assume many (most?) top athletes use something

It's entirely possible she could have taken it for some reason entirely outside the realm of traditional medicine. Some people inject toxin into their faces to stave off wrinkles. If you thought HGH could slow the aging process, taking it wouldn't be any weirder than that really...

I hope it turns out to be false. Otherwise my fear is that Manning would just be the tip of the iceberg, and we hit this MLB-esque slide into the reality that everyone is using HGH and the "asterisk" record talk and HOF snubs ensue.

No way any normal human gets that forehead without unusual growth hormones. The evidence is right there!
Whoa, almost snarfed my coffee there! :P

I can see Brady, Hasselbeck, and Brees with their surprise "this will be my last season" announcements today in their pressers.

I already asterisk the passing numbers. As far as I'm concerned, Favre did it in a way harder era for passers. So Manning's stat compiling was aided by rules changes. There is a reason guys like Cousins are routinely putting up 300+ per game and 4 TDs. It isn't luck.

Wasn't that Roger Clemens defense? It was all his wife?

It's not that original http://www.cbsnews.com/news/romanowskis-wife-charged/

It's 2015 people. Professional athletes with millions of dollars riding on the line will do anything to get any advantage they can, and you would too if you were in their shoes. If it's not strictly HGH, then it's Adderall or some other crap on the market. Quite frankly at this point I'm fine with it. Everyone is doing it, so teams are pretty much all on the same playing field.

So is it confirmed that his wife was getting HGH or not? Because if that part of the story is still true, I wouldn't be surprised if Peyton was pulling a Rafael Palmeiro.

I don't understand this. Why do you need Manning to be in the wrong? How does it make you feel better?

What are you talking about? What makes you think that I want Peyton "to be in the wrong"?

I believe you do from what you've posted. If you want to deny that, okay. I don't know and will never know. I think its more plausible that he didn't, but I will never know for sure. I was curious why you need him to be dirty. What need does it fulfill for you?
