I am fully confident that he took into account both the lower air pressure on Mars reducing the boiling point of water, and the lower gravity making it more likely that gas would escape.

I'm also sure he factored in that the ice caps are partially frozen carbon dioxide, and not actually all water.

Dang, I think Jose may have to recalculate.
