While it may not be a big deal at all, as a Gordon owner I'd rather not see pictures of him hanging out with a disaster like Johnny Football.

He's making these twitter warriors so mad. I looooooove it

Come on. If you want any strain of credibility AT ALL when it comes to Gordon, you have to admit a small part of you at least wishes you didn't see that picture. He took a picture with a BROWNS PLAYER.
This is why I'm concerned - not because I think it will effect Gordon's reinstatement. I would rather that he not surround himself with people that make poor decisions. Let's be realistic here, it may mean absolutely nothing at all of course, but it's not a good look. Can we please quit pretending like Manziel is "just a teammate"? Seriously, stop. He's facing assault charges, has serious addiction problems, has threatened to take his own life, and isn't long for the team.

Posting a pic of himself doing an MMA workout doesn't mean he's going to be a top NFL WR.Taking a pic w Manziel, doesn't mean he was hanging with Manziel.
For a forum supposedly full of scholars, you guys sure do make some stupid assumptions.
It's been career suicide for many players. He took a picture with a BROWNS PLAYER.
No, but posting a VIDEO of an MMA workout, does show that he is keeping himself in top shape.Posting a pic of himself doing an MMA workout doesn't mean he's going to be a top NFL WR.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
You should tell that to CBS:Taking a pic w Manziel, doesn't mean he was hanging with Manziel.

No, it doesn't, and that's the point that you refuse to see/acknowledge.No, but posting a VIDEO of an MMA workout, does show that he is keeping himself in top shape.
Any more words you wanna shove in people's mouths?
You can't look at Manziel, all the trouble he's had with Vegas, and alcohol, and possible drugs (rolled up $20 bill), and come to the conclusion that it's common sense that a guy who is trying to get re-instated to the NFL for a suspension that was the result of drugs & alcohol shouldn't associate with him?You can't look at Gordon, and all his training vids, and come to the conclusion that he is in great shape?
What constitutes "great shape" to you, because I honestly need to know.
Suspended WR Josh Gordon attended UFC 196 with Johnny Manziel over the weekend.
There's obviously nothing wrong with Gordon attending the UFC fight, but Browns higher ups may gaze skeptically on his association with Manziel, whom they intend to release shortly. Manziel is a known substance abuser, and Gordon was suspended for the entire 2015 season over violations of the NFL's substance abuse policy. The NFL may also frown upon Gordon's Manziel association. Commissioner Roger Goodell is expected to rule on Gordon's potential reinstatement at some point later this month.
We have no authority over Gordon. He can do whatever he wants. As an owner it concerns me that he's not showing better judgment. That's all.So, Gordon is explicitly banned by FBG police, from taking a photo with ANY nfl player who has ever been suspended.
Poor guy is gonna be taking photos with a couple punters in his next post
Sorry, you either can't or refuse to even try to understand - or like some one else said just trolling at this point.Better judgement than a photo? A picture.
The proof is in the piss tests. Of which, he claims he has passed, each and every time, and will each and every time forward.
Proof is having not been busted, arrested, fined, charged, during this latest ordeal.
Sorry.... but help me understand how a photo with a guy who is STILL a member of the NFL, and may still be in the future, means Gordon is messing up and not going to get reinstated. Honestly, makes no sense to me
They did attend together. Everyone in that building attended together.

I just wish you'd finally take this step with Gordon and get it over with. No, but posting a VIDEO of an MMA workout, does show that he is keeping himself in top shape.

You're both trolling. Please stop it now and both of you be way cooler if you want to keep posting here. Thanks.I'm not trolling, whatsoever.
How did a photo, become "hanging out"? Is there video of the 2 hanging out, drinking, smoking, at a bar, club, anything besides a photo at an event they both attended?
I dont care if they snapped a photo together. If they are actually "hanging out" then, yes, I would concede to being more worried.
Be way cooler. If you can't do that or don't understand that you're just arguing, please stop posting. You've got to be kidding me?
I'm taking a legitimate stance on a subject, and I'm trolling? Right.
Forgive me for thinking an simple photo at a fight is proof of absolutely nothing.

That may be true; but he was just as close before his last suspension. The '14 season was over when he got popped. He was 1 season away from a big payday, just as he is now (when he gets reinstated), and he blew it then (admittedly for having a beer, bit the point remains).Sorry need to make 2 replies because this site really screws up on my phone. If Josh gets reinstated that means he has passed a lot of drug/alcohol tests. Even for a knucklehead as big as him, he's not going to be so close to a big payday and blow it. He knows he has a winning lottery ticket to cash in. He'll be fine this year, it's when he signs that big contract next year we could see the slippage.
It depends whether he has an alcohol or drug use disorder or not. If yes then all bets are off. If no, then you are probably correct. You know when we know he'll be fine this year? In 2017. There simply are no givens. Be happy if he is reinstated, stays out of trouble and plays. If this happens there is no reason he can't return to greatness. We are a long way from there though.Sorry need to make 2 replies because this site really screws up on my phone. If Josh gets reinstated that means he has passed a lot of drug/alcohol tests. This will be intriguing. On the one hand, by that time he'll have a full year played and clean, plus a lot longer clean for the year/two since his last failed test, so assuming we're still talking about him next March that's over 2 years clean. I think someone feels comfortable enough to throw out a pretty aggressive offer. On the other hand though, Cleveland will almost certainly give him the highest tender, which gives them a 1st rounder if anyone signs Gordon away. That's a hefty price to put a big contract and a 1st rounder on the line. He's not gonna get a big payday after this year.
He'll get a potentially big payday, w an incentive laden mega contract, more than likely. Then again, desperate teams do things we dont expect.. but itll work out
I'm not here to debate his talent, anyone would be a fool to think he's anything other than an elite talent NFL WR.... but the bolded is what I often hear people say. At this point, it doesn't really matter how long he's been clean it just matters that he doesn't 'get dirty' again. Unfortunately for Josh, he's out of strikes. Fantasy owners have to understand that there is absolutely risk in taking him knowing that any single minute slip up is ultimately the end. What I'm seeing (and I don't blame people) is owners viewing the high reward possibilities of having a potential top 3-5 fantasy WR.This will be intriguing. Wasn't a shot at you; hence why I said "what I often hear people say." Just a general statement man, not an attack at your post.Did you even read my post? I was speculating about what an NFL team would do 12 months from now if he's clean. I've been the loudest one in here stating Gordon is an obnoxious risk/reward at prices being discussed.
Not one person actually said that. No, and he won't be. That's what taking pictures does to you
