Lebron James will never win a championship... (2 Viewers)

So you only watched LeBron for 6 games this year but can definitively say that he has no mid-range game even though every single statistic says that he does?

We know that LeBron did not play up to his potential in the finals. No one is denying that. Maybe you should spend less time schooling guys that quicker, younger and taller than you and spend some time watching the Heat play if you want to accurately rip on his abilities.
Beyond the six games, I've watched LeBron for years now and haven't seen the mid-range game. I sit and watch the finals and, guess what?, he shows a poor mid-range game. Maybe he has it, maybe he doesn't. Past history and what I just saw says he doesn't. There are lies, damn lies and stats. They don't tell the whole story and never will. I've got my preconceived idea from years of observation, confirmed by the 6 most recent games and a professional analyst. I may be wrong, but you may be too.
I'm not wrong. The statistics prove that he has a better jumper shot than his peers.
:lmao: The statistics prove one thing, that he makes a higher % of his shots from that range than his peers and nothing more or less. "Better" includes so many things that you can never quantify and I'll promise you that Kobe Bryant has a better mid-range game than Lebron James no matter what the stats say.
That stats do say that Kobe is a better shooter from 10-15 feet by a fairly large margin (6%). Kobe's shooting is also starting a decline because his legs are getting old and has less lift on his shot. This is shown by the decline in his shooting % over the few years from 16-23 feet and from 3.

Just to jump in the middle here, but you are both arguing about his Finals performance, not his regular season stats. So what was his percentage of Mid-range jumpers taken and made in the Finals, since those are the games that Jayrod watched? Maybe you are both right? You just keep reiterating that his regular season stats show he is above average, but what about just this series?
I've said multiple times that he was bad (for his standards) in the finals. Saying that he is a bad mid-range shooter based on the last 6 games is completely ridiculous.

lol at, "Kobe would never quit except for that time he quit."
He quit because he was foolishly sending a message, not because he withered due to pressure.
lolit matters WHY you quitquitters never win, unless there is a damn good reason they quityou know who never quit?Dickey Simpkinsand he has the rings to prove it
Quit or not. I'll take a prime Kobe led team vs a prime LBJ led team for the NBA title if everything else is equal.

He doesn't have an offensive game that he can rely on: no low-post game, no mid-range jump shot so when the game really gets tough he has a hard time finding easy baskets and getting himself going. That's what Michael did in his sleep
This is exactly what i was saying this morning... only this does a better job.

Hmmm... Is this going to be a game where Kobe feels he needs to prove a point? Are they playing FOR something?I think I need context before wagering on either of these guys.

Good for Kobe he didn't go around calling himself "King" or had a 1 hour special dedicated to his FA signings.

Well now you're just fishing. I don't agree with this at all.I think there are tons of people who appropriately discount Kobe for being the Barea to Shaq's Dirk.

nohe just caused a rift in his team, caused them to blow a title shot against, and then drove out the most dominant player of his generation just to prove he was the manoh and he may have raped someonei hate me some lebron, but i'd as soon guzzle his Gatorade as piss on kobe if he was on fire

I know you do, GB.

I want to switch gears here a little bit, as I just had a wild and, frankly, completely original thought.

LeBron should probably spend the off-season working on his mid-range jumper. In my estimation as a frequent watcher of basketball and someone who played on a junior high team that only lost 3 games in 2 years, the guy looks to be below average in that department. Or at the very least subpar when compared to other "Kings", including my boy Stacey, who was :moneybag:

No, he just forced Charlotte's hand and told the league he'd only play for the Lakers when he was 17 and yet to set foot on an NBA floor.

lebron will win a title before the lakers win one

chicago will beat both to the promised land

the spurs will get a lottery pick in the next draw

coach K is going to coach the hornets within the next 5 years

mark cuban will buy a soccer team, and no one will care

there will be a 4 point line

dickey is going to mount a comeback

Mario Chalmers alias?

poor kobe gets no respect

even in former laker sexcapades

Wilt bagged 1000

Magic got aids from Zeke

and all Kobe did was have semi-consensual sex with some maid from Motel 6

from wiki:

He was a lifelong bachelor and became notorious for his claim to having had sex with over 20,000 women, none of which accused him of rape and none of which were hotel maids.

Many of Chamberlain's personal friends testified[citation needed] that he once had 23 women in 10 days

that's 2.3 women a day, almost matches lebron's average 4th quarter scoring in the finals

That reminds me: Whatever happened to that guy with the online kitchen idea IB and I gave a whole marketing campaign that was better than anything he could have paid for? Pretty sure there should be royalties coming unless he screwed that up.

Kobe didn't force Shaq out. Shaq forced himself out by mouthing "PAY ME!" to the cameras during a preseason game while making an NBA-high $34 million a year.

I find it wholly believable, and in fact quite likely, that an above-average sports franchise would send its star player packing for mouthing something into a camera during the pre-season.

I heard the 49ers finally decided to part ways with Joe Montana after he pantamimed being trapped in a box during OTAs. Last straw, I'm sure. Can't blame them, really.

It wasn't for mouthing "something" into a camera. It was for attempting to show up ownership by publicly demanding more money when he was already making $30 million a year. That was when ownership became fed up with him and decided that it was time to build the team around the younger star player rather than extending with an increase the contract of the aging, lazy star player who had just joined the team overweight and out of shape and yet already was making demands. Direct quote from Lakers assistant coach Tex Winter: "[O'Neal] left because he couldn't get what he wanted -- a huge pay raise. There was no way ownership could give him what he wanted. Shaq's demands held the franchise hostage, and the way he went about it didn't please the owner too much."

This is what happened in a game in the ECF, when the game was tied under 5 min left and Miami was down 1-0. I'm not suggesting anything more than it seems like his mid-range shot was working fine then and the issues in the finals seem to originate north of the shoulders. A few different moves he made on his own.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1Wp2hkGY_8

He never made $30M (or the $34M or whatever you said earlier), his final season in LA he made under $25M.
