I over doubled my opponents score this week. for Kelce and Ajayi it was good timing for a huge week, although I technically didn't need it.

Ajayi picked up before his first big game. I had Abdullah and Benard go down so that was a big pickup

Diggs petered out here at the end of the year so Gabriel filled in flex nicely. Same with Mitchell

Also grabbing Bryant after his bye was big for me. kicker was able to give me a big advantage in several games

This was my third championship (in 24 years), but easily one of my worst teams and yet somehow pulled it off thanks to lucky matchups in Round 1 and Round 2 where my opponent had terrible performances despite great matchups.

You'd be hard pressed to find a worse championship team -

qb - started Carr over Rodgers

rb - started Dixon and Lewis, on the bench Booker, Jennings and Smallwood (IR)

wr/te - A Brown, M Thomas, S Shepard (Graham and Boyd on the bench)

k - Hopkins (Lambo on the bench)

dl - Mack and Vernon

lb - M Smith and McKinney (Burfict OUT and DQ Jackson on suspension)

db - Cyprien and Jefferson (Vacarro on bench)

flex idp - Wake (forced to start a DL at flex because all other IDP players out or suspended)

 What is incredible - even though I was the 2 seed I was a 20 point dog to the 7 seed but won 66 to 59 (two lowest scores of the 8 teams in the playoffs, but got lucky to face the worst score).  Moved on the Round 2 facing the 3 seed, again an 18 point dog but won 68.5 to 48 (you guessed it, the two lowest scores of the 4 teams remaining and again I get lucky).  Into the championship against the 4 seed who pulled off an upset of the 1 in the semis...I was an 8 point dog.  Won 84.5 to 78.0 thanks to that AB catch.

Now before I completely belittle my team, it was pretty good before my RBs got devastated by injury - I did manage to get the two seed with a 9-3-1 record, but stunk it up in the playoffs but always faced a team that scored just a little worse.  Of 24 players drafted - only 9 remained by the end.  We are allowed 3 FA pickups per week from Week 2 through week 13 for a max of 36 pickups.  I maxed that out, as well as making 3 trades, involving 4 total players.  Only guys that made it the whole year on my roster - Carr, Dion Lewis, Antonio Brown, Mack, Vernon, Burfict, Malcolm Smith, Johnathan Cyprien, and Tony Jefferson.  Key pickups via trade/free agency - Aaron Rodgers, Michael Thomas, Sterling Shepard, Bernardrick McKinney and even Jennings gave me a good week the week I traded for him and then went straight back to the bench.

It was tough this season. Went into the playoffs on a 4 game losing streak. Jordy got hot down the stretch. Hill was great also. Drafting Gurley, AP and Allen was a huge handicap to my team but I out lasted teams in the playoffs with Zeke/Bryant/McCoy on the same team. 

Next season we keep 2 players. My team doesn't have good keepers for a 8 team league. I'll be fighting a uphill battle next season also lol.
