Time Kibitzer

I got a feeling these mulligans are gonna result in 2 particular categories having very few selections.

Yep - as soon as I saw the scream category, this jumped right to mind.Best Scream
1.07 Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who
loved that version *and* her haircut.I’ll get more obscure later, but have to grab this one early.
Say what you want about her politics or her haircut, but she knocked it out of the park with this Prince tune.
1.09 Sinead O’Connor – “Nothing Compares 2 U” (Prince tune without the artist)
I think this one is OK, but should not be used as a "model" for the category. After the transition from the opening Radiohead initiates a few more movements, but lets them fall back into the main groove quickly.OK, not sure if this flies. Just let me know and I'll re-pick.
Radiohead - Jigsaw Falling Into Place (Rock w/ 3+ movements)
Yeah, it's a tougher category than I initially thought. There are a lot of songs with two distinct themes but a lot of the ones I remembered as A-B-A really just have an extended bridge.I think this one is OK, but should not be used as a "model" for the category. After the transition from the opening Radiohead initiates a few more movements, but lets them fall back into the main groove quickly.OK, not sure if this flies. Just let me know and I'll re-pick.

goSo, I'm on deck here. Would it be horrible if I just made my choice now and if Scooby wants it he can have it (in which case I'll make it up later)? I really need to get somewhere and I don't want to hold things up.
How "rock" does it have to be? I have a great song w/3 movements in my head, but it's not really rock.I think this one is OK, but should not be used as a "model" for the category. I got it as Prince written or produced OR influenced. Groovus call on if the influenced part is representative enough.Prince related means written by Prince yesno?
written by, produced by, inspired by, can trace lineage 2, wears purple, from Twin Cities,Prince related means written by Prince yesno?
The purpose of the draft is 2 listen 2 and provoke discussion about great songs. If U like a song and can explain/defend why it's Princely, pick it.The drafter is the official arbitrator of category rulings![]()
Does Kirby Puckett and the Union Gap count?written by, produced by, inspired by, can trace lineage 2, wears purple, from Twin Cities,Prince related means written by Prince yesno?![]()
#1 albumZamboni's category.. can't find the post.. is this just a "deep cut" on any Billboard #1 album?

I liked this one BTW1.10 - Punch Brothers - Another New World (Bluish Grass)
Song's apparently based on some poem by Edgar Allen Poe. It fits in a lot of different categories, but I'll leave it in Bluegrass for now since this is probably the only Bluegrass song I like enough to have on my mp3, and I like it a lot; though I initially had it pegged for the now deceased mandolin category. Song's brilliant imo.
PM me.How "rock" does it have to be? I have a great song w/3 movements in my head, but it's not really rock.
Meaning the song didn't hit any sub-category chart in any country, but the album hit #1 on the Top 200 Billboard album chart.#1 albumZamboni's category.. can't find the post.. is this just a "deep cut" on any Billboard #1 album?
non-charting song
Would like to see more discussion on this category. I'm struggling with the concept as it relates to pop or rock.OK, not sure if this flies. Just let me know and I'll re-pick.
hey- no abba alowed. I thought that was a rule.OK, not sure if this flies. Just let me know and I'll re-pick.
I conceived of it as more than just a song jumping into its bridge and then jumping back out. But in some songs, the bridge veers far enough "off course" that it does pretty stand on it's own as a movement. Not being critical of the pick, just trying to understand what we mean by 3 movements.

Thinking of it as "songs that have 'mini-songs' within them" ... does that help?
Yes, athlete needs to be specifically mentioned by name or nickname either in the song title or in the song lyrics. Needs to be a real athlete. Can I please get a few clarifications on the categories?
- Name/nickname of athlete. I’m guessing the name/nickname simply has to mentioned in the song, correct? There aren’t too many songs out there where athletes are named in the title.
I don't recall rock being specified. I had some trance in mind for this.
- Post-1990 instrumentals – there are a ton off jazz instrumentals but I’m guessing you’re looking for rock. As long as I make a case (artist previously did mainly rock –or- the song is rock-ish) I’m guessing that would be okay, correct?
I mislabled my category, sry - Should have been post-1990 instrumentalsthis link will start it at 54:12 http://youtu.be/IDB6caPWUl8?t=54m12s after all the fun1.05 - Ben Folds Five - For All The Pretty People (Acoustic 1990-2014)
Some salty (NSFW) language at the beginning, but it is not really part of the song. Sorry this is the only way I could find it on YouTube. Spotify has it in all it's glory and I'll use that for my mixtape.
The blues song can have elements of soul, rock, country, folk, jazz, etc. in it.Can I please get a few clarifications on the categories?
- Does Female Blues song have to be strictly blues or classic blues? Can it just have a bluesy feel?
