I saw EMF at a KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas show and they were the only band that made no attempt at even pretending to do an acoustic set. They came out with their amps set to 11. It was odd, but OTOH I still remember their set to this day.Make-up picks:
5.19: "Unbelievable", EMF (Scream)
For this category, it will probably be unusual that the scream is, in fact, intentionally subtle on the recording. EMF sampled Andrew Dice Clay screamng "OOOOOH ... what the f### WAAAS THAT?!?" from one of his stand-up performances. The sample is broken into three pieces and played in the background during the choruses (and a few other times, too)..
.
Surprisingly, Wikipedia has the line-up of all the shows, check out this line-up, I was in my element.
