I never go over there but had to check. It’s just one guy spamming rotoworld blurbs for each player. Is that what people want to see there? What is going on in there with all the player threads on auto bump? You can't find team threads or hawk screech or whatever raider is on about this year.
Can't those player threads be their own forearm?
Have a great season

Totally agreed. They first page right now has two non-player specific threads.I do like the idea of player threads having their own forum. Not only would it unclutter the Shark Pool it would make the player threads easier to find later in the week.
Some like it. I made a comment somewhere recently that Faust was my first use of the ignore function years ago, and I was surprised how many responded that they liked those posts and poster.Agreed. I have always been annoyed with that but to be fair its been going on for years now.
If I want outside content, Ill figure out what sources I want to use and for what player and just do that myself.
So it's not a bot? SheeshA for effort by that guy for spending a couple of hours bumping threads with useless info on barely used players
This. This is not new, but it seems like there are more than any other year. I wonder if it is due to fewer people posting in the Shark Pool so the player threads are not getting bumped down.
Yes - it's definitely much less active than it used to be, not helped by the abundance of other social media outlets. As for threads, IIRC a few years back Joe asked the Shark Pool if they wanted several individual player threads or more robust generic ones. I think most landed on the individual ones. I don't think it's a big deal either way - can't please everyone.This.This is not new, but it seems like there are more than any other year. When people are crawling over each other to bump other stuff, it didn't matter.
Less traffic, and this is what it is
I think deciding to NOT please the guys who lurk rather than post, but are annoyed at the crippling and inhumane torture of clicking on Page 2 was probably the right move.I don't think it's a big deal either way - can't please everyone
You’ll still see the thread though. What’s the point in that. Some like it. If I'm being frank man, the Quentin Johnston with 2 catches for 9 yards info was crucial. So it's not a bot? SheeshA for effort by that guy for spending a couple of hours bumping threads with useless info on barely used players

That's actually pretty huge these days.Totally agreed. Game threads are dropping to page 2 an hour after the game is over because we need to know that some Tight End no one cares about caught 2 balls for 14 yards.
Same. I criticized that guy for spamming a player thread with Rotoworld stuff and got a ton of pushback over it. I just figure it's what people in that forum want, and what do I care because I'm hardly over there anyway. Some like it. Some of us like the normal threads!More than the "what's normal?" and "who's the best basketball player?" threads here?
100% this, and it was probably a decade ago that I was over there and ignored him anyway.Same. There is a News section on FBG that post all that stuff. I think it is unnecessary to post the post-game stats of every offensive starter (or most of them) in the NFL in the SP. People who play FF know where to find stats to players. I ignore it, but since this thread is talking about it, I do think the spamming of the info is more obstructive than being a helpful tool.Maybe each team could have a player stat thread and he could post the stats in there? Each week could have one post in the thread for all players.
my guess is these guys do this as a hobbyIs Faust a staff member? He’s not doing all of that for free is he?

Appears to be a new guy doing it unless Faust has an alias. At least when Faust did it, it was not like 5 seconds after a game ended when there are other games and stuff going on. Monday morning is the time to post stuff like that.
Even then, its of dubious usefulness. The stat lines are one thing, but Roto notoriously has terrible commentary filled with bias and hot takes and it has for many years.

wonder if it's the same guy spamming the Packers sub-reddit with a new thread for individual video clips of every single play from yesterday's gameI never go over there but had to check. WR D.J. Moore, CHI
I'll be surprised if he clears 1k yards with Fields. DJM is good, but he's not on AJ Brown's level. I hope I'm wrong because I own him everywhere.forums.footballguys.com
For an example, I would love a thread discussing what team/player was the biggest disappointment in week 1? I don't think that thread topic gets the same meaty discussion in the SP that it would get in the FFA. But does it belong here? I dunno.
Joe click on page 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 of the SP, and you will see the spamming of stats. This is where it would be good to get more detail on what folks mean. Lots of time, the stats are very intertwined with news.
my view is that nearly everyone knows Burrow had a bad game, if someone wants to comment on it don't think the stats are going to prompt them. Possibly if someone's game was highly noteworthy such as in this case posting stats isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think the issue is just there's so many posts that are just posting players stats i.e. Waller 4 catches for 40 yards that don't lead to any type of discussion anyway. There is a News section on FBG that post all that stuff. I think it is unnecessary to post the post-game stats of every offensive starter (or most of them) in the NFL in the SP. People who play FF know where to find stats to players. Joe Burrow was bad yesterday. Here's the stats. And hopefully some discussion ensues on that player.
Right?
