Mike Tyson Vs Jake Paul? (3 Viewers)

Tyson is -300, Paul +200 on bovada
You have this completely backward

Paul is -400 or so to win
Tyson +275

Paul is a massive favorite here.
I see that's the case. I don't really do much in terms of betting and don't follow boxing or fighting much, but if given the choice, I'd pretty comfortably put money on Tyson given the little bit I've seen on this and seeing those odds.

Reflexes in your 50s are waaay slower than the 20s, but strength and power don’t diminish as quickly. My gut is to pick the young guy.

How does their height/weight/reach compare?

Paul is taller and has the reach, but is 20lbs lighter. Paul is also only lost to what is considered a pro boxer, and looked bad doing it.

Yeah, a completely washed Floyd still beat his a**, and it wasn’t competitive.

Tyson lands one good punch and it’s ding ding. And I’ll really enjoy seeing it, too.

Seems like Mike needs to jab up close and lean on the younger lighter guy. I give Tyson a puncher's chance but I'm not betting a ton on it. 🥊 🥊

I think he just wants to beat someone’s a**.
it's possible but my initial thought was this is more about the $$$ and publicity than a legit competitive fight. It's possible that Tyson still does have the desire to box and fight but @ 58 he prob should just enjoy the rest of his life and do something maybe not as risky as box

George Foreman won a heavyweight belt at 45. Tyson was a better boxer, but is 12 years older than that.

Not sure here. Jake Paul isn't a terrible boxer and is 30 years younger.

Paul is lighter, but 3" taller (6'1" vs 5,10") and has a 5" longer reach (77" vs 71").

I don't follow boxing or anything so it is possible that I have no clue what I'm talking about but I did browse Wikipedia and and his last bout was a draw and the one before that he didn't do well? so he's maybe a little washed.

all of your analysis is great but i hate jake off paul and his entire ilk who make a literal joke of the sweet science and hope that tyson puts him in the ground take that to the bank bromigos

Jake Paul isn’t 6’1. He may have an inch on Tyson at most. They’re about the same height.

This isnt the 90's. You guys are giving a 57 year old Tyson too much credit.
I'm not saying Paul will win, but I'm not saying he wont.
Jake Paul is not a professional boxer and Tyson was one of the best ever and evidently still powerful. It’s not the 90s but I wouldn’t take Jake Paul to beat Michael Jordan at hoops either.

Tyson is still a big man. 5’10 220 pounds. Jake’s brother Logan got knocked out on his feet by a 150 pound Mayweather. If this is an actual fight and not just a sparring exhibition, Mike will knock him out imo. Jake doesn’t have a lot of punching power. Mike can easily get inside.

Tyson is still strong and still bat-s crazy.
Yeah. I’m sure they have an exhibition agreement……no heavy head shots etc but damn if Paul pisses him off in the ring it might be all bets off lol.
Tyson also seems a guy like any goat that is just hyper competitive. Like he is going to destroy anyone in his way no matter what. I don’t think its a mentality the greats can shut off. Especially when in a ring again…and he gets hit…all “agreements “ are off. Thats why they were great.

I work with a couple of guys who are big-time boxing fans and they said this exact same thing. Tyson will go along with the script until Paul starts yapping and showboating and then it is goodnight, nurse.
I think he can handle the yapping, showboating etc. If Paul breaks the script and tries to put Tyson away at some point for clout, Tyson can still hurt a man

All online sources say Paul is 6'1".

Different sports, as I’m sure Jordan can still shoot, but I might take a 20-something year old Div 1 basketball player with a height advantage in 1-on-1

One thing we know for sure is that Tyson will give full effort. Dude has money. He is gonna try and win. When Tyson lost to Buster back in 1990 I actually cried. Tyson was everything I wanted in a champion. Such a sad day. That was the day that allowed the UFC to surpass my interest in boxing a few years later. 1990? Crazy. I don't have a problem with Jake Paul. Dude made his brand. Even at 57, Tyson is gonna give him problems. Hopefully.
