MixTape Draft - 6+ word titles. Finish your draft and listen to mixes! (2 Viewers)

Cool.  Not sure I have ever seen that one.
Was really good, I remember seeing it when I was young (8 or 10) and being freaked out by it. That feeling doesn't hold up since the plot is now predictable but the message is still important. Also the print was awesome too.

Young hunks, taking shots
Stripping down to dirty socks
Music up, gettin' hot
Kiss me, give me all you've got
It's pretty obvious that you've got a crush
That magic in your pants, it's making me blush

:lmao:

I think a divorce is around the corner.  First Miley Cyrus a couple nights ago, now the wife just walked out while I was jamming to some Katy Perry.  Just shakes her head in disgust and keeps walking.
I'd keep walking too, and file the papers on Monday.

And Mother taught us patienceThe virtues of restraintAnd Father taught us boundariesBeyond which we must goTo find the secrets promised us, yeah

So I put my hands up
They're playing my song, the butterflies fly away
I'm noddin' my head like, 'yeah'
I'm movin' my hips like, 'yeah'

And now I'm loving the Sleater-Kinney song on KP's mix. We need a female vocalist draft, have we ever done this? We'll obviously all be trying to copy of Tasker's notes, but still??

What do your guys' Spotify Daily Mixes look like?  Seems like I always have a New Wave, 90s alt, 1-2 metal, jazz, and just some random thing.
I only use Spotify to post mixes for these drafts. I use iTunes and just have lists of varying ratings. Basically it boils down to:

Playlist 1: Songs marked with heart form a playlist of about 60 songs where I could listen to an individual song multiple times in a row

Playlist 2: 5 star = never have the urge to skip any song, currently about 550 songs (I am usually listening to this or audiobooks)

Playlist 3: 4+ stars = like all songs but sometimes not in the mood for a particular one

Playlist 4: Rap/Hiphop - currently separate from my normal playlists since are often more explicit and the 3 (nearly 4) year old can pick up on phases I don't really want him repeating until he is old enough to do one of these drafts. I don't really have a genre list aside from this (that isn't automatically generated by iTunes).

I have a "No Lyrics" playlist which consists of a lot of classical + movie music + instrumentals + tv music + electronic music

Cracked eggs, dead birds
Scream as they fight for life
I can feel death, can see its beady eyes
All these things into position
All these things we'll one day swallow whole
And fade out again and fade out again

Alright, listened to KP's as well.

I got a lot on my head - this song is so ####### good.I ####### love The Cars but U tend ti stick to their earlier stuff this song is fantastic though.

I'm so Bored With the USA - is a song I'm kind of embarrassed to say isn't well known to me but being honest, it's not. It ### ####ed rules though.

The Day My Baby Gave Me a Surprise - the gimmicky stuff used to scare me off DEVO but they are ### ####ed amazing, like one of the absolute best of this era. I think this everytime I hear them, why don't I listen more?

In the Mind of the Bourgeois Reader  is fantastic as well, the constant drum throughout it really keeps it moving and it gets a little more and more unhinged/rocking out throughout.

All that said, not new to me Thank You for Sending Me an Angel and Ever Fallen in Love are my two favourite songs here. Why'd You Only Call Me When You're HIgh rocks my world, even if it's only like the 6th best song on that album (but it was my album of the year and they ####### rule). I'm Finding it Harder to be a Gentleman  reminds me listen to White Stripes more. You Can Make Him Like You just doesn't grab me recorded like it does live but live it is so ####### awesome. I obviously like this mix a lot.

You don't have to deal with the dealers
Let your boyfriend deal with the dealers
It only gets inconvenient
When you wanna get high alone
You don't have to know how to get home
Let your boyfriend tell the driver the best way to go,
It only gets kinda weird when you wanna go home alone,
You don't have to know the inspiring people
Let your boyfriend know the inspiring people
You can hang in the kitchen
Talk about the stars in the upcoming sequel

Glad you liked the mix!  Thanks for giving it a drunken listen!

For sure.  First album is amazing, and lot of other fantastic stuff after that.

DEVO is another band that I always underrated and didn't give a shot, but love damn near everything I hear.
Agree on Devo. I wrongly dismissed them.Otoh the Cars have always been my band.

Re Devo... duty now for the future is an all-timer, top to bottom. Still had lots of guitar/punk sound going with the spudboy geeky synths and vocals. I loooooove that album, and hard. Later albums have a song or three on them, but I generally can't listen to the whole things.

Spotify daily mixes... Wife and kids use my account, so there are a couple mixes dedicated to Kidz bop pop stuff and U2 Pearl jam etc. The last couple drafts messed up my usual postpunk melange, so I've got more older Rock in there now, along with some early 70s soul/funk.

And re gin... Like Marco, Hendricks and boodles. We've been drinking Tito's vodka lately.

Haven't had a chance to listen to mixes this weekend. Left off partway through Marco's on Friday and it was all kinds of amazing so far.

Oh.. the Cars... That one album-candy o?- was flat out amazing, but otherwise I find their albums with a lot of misses and not many winners.
