MJD and Ray Rice (1 Viewer)

MJD and Ray Rice have drastically underperformed. Is it time to move them although their value is low...or do you hold out faith they will rebound with 12 more games to go?

List who you would take for each guy right now...not counting Chris Johnson, Peterson, or Best (I doubt his owner would let him go).

I wouldn't want MJD on my team to be honest... not for what I would have to give up.

I'm starting Gore, SJax and Best as my 2RBs and flex... I seriously don;t see benching any of them for MJD, especially considering early pre-season I posted that MJD falls from grace this season and got annihilated by people for suggesting it... and tho early, seems to be coming to fruition (and yes i KNOW, this can change... but I dont think it will all that much)

SO I dont know what I would give up for him... none of those 3 RBs.... I guess from my roster, MAYBE ocho and addai in a 2 for 1... but then again, maybe not.

Why would you want to trade Ray Rice after playing two tough run defenses on the road (and posting OK stats in one of them) right before playing Cleveland at home?

I'm not buying them as I think their end of year ranking is still too far from early season hopes/expectations.

But unless someone was offering a king's ransom I think you have to hold.

You can't get anything for them right now, so you should just hold em. At least wait until they have a good game if you're going to get rid of them.

You sure about that? Someone just offered me Foster for Ray Rice. Obviously someone thinks Rice's best games are in front of him. I do too.

You almost have to hold these guys right now. It's unlikely you are going to get anything close to what you invested in them so you just have to wait until they turn it around. MJD is scaring me right now though...

I have MJD and is value is as low as it has ever been. Haven't received a single offer for him and wouldn't trade him now for guys like Best or Foster....they are too unproven despite their fast start. This is a marathon, not a sprint, my friend.

As an MJD dynasty owner for 4 years, I must say, "patience, Grasshopper."He has lulls every year and then freaking explodes for 2-3TD's. The Jags won't be able to continue to rely on Garrard to score TD's. Soon MJD will get some carries inside the 5 yard line and everyone will be singing his praises. Week 2 will be he worst week of the year (barring injury of course).

Best owner here, was just offered Rice/Harvin for Best/PThomas. Leaning towards passing on it, but if Bush hadn't got hurt I'd be pretty torn

I'm in 3 leagues, and own Best in 2 of them, one my main league which is a PPR/Keeper league (you get to keep 6 at no cost). I would trade Best for Rice and MJD in either of my leagues where i own Best. Best is elite, he is an RB 1 for sure, but he is not Rice or MJD, so let's not get ahead of ourselves. It should be noted that just based on emotional reasons i may decide to keep Best, that is i love watching the kid play. But purely based on football, i would trade Best for either.

I own both Rice and Foster and thus couldn't explore this trade. But I would trade Foster for Rice in a heartbeat if I could.

I actually own Rice AND MJD in the same league (a Keep 3 where I also own AJ). Anyone that saw my roster at the beginning of the year, thought that the if I lost in the championships, THAT would be my team's downside. Instead, my top three picks, Brady, Clark, and Ocho have been racking up points, but I am 0-2 (although top 3 in points). This is my first year owning MJD and let me tell you, he leaves a lot to be desired...

Rice owners signed up knowing he wouldn't get goalline touches and his schedule would be difficult. He played two great defenses on the road. With the exception of Pittsburgh in week 4, Baltimore has Cleveland at home, Denver at home, @ New England, and Buffalo at home the next 5 weeks... that looks like a good situation to get back on ADP 1.3/1.4 track.

I think MJD owners are in denial. He had 367 touches last year - far more than any amount of touches he had in any other year. His TD production went from 13 TDs in the first 10 games to 3 in the final 6. I don't think people brought up his knee issues for fun. Garrard and Jacksonville are AWFUL on the road.

I think there are a lot of concerns when it comes to MJD and one should tread carefully going forward.

First time owner of MJD. Noticed last year he started off a bit slow within the first 2 weeks....97/1 week 1 vs Colts and 66/0 week 2 vs AZ. I'm going to be patient and wait due to Jax never having an explosive offense in years past to begin with. This year M.Thomas is producing as a legit #1b/#2 WR and Mercedes Lewis is producing as a top 5 TE....how long will this last?... eventually it will open things up for MJD.

Oh yeah, week 3 of last year? 119/3 TDS.....its coming baby!!!

I wouldn't have taken the deal before Bush went down. Right now, I would not even consider that deal. Best and Rice are almost a wash, eventhough most still value Rice more. P. Thomas went from a low-end RB2 to a decent RB1 with Bush out. I would not even want Harvin as a started at a WR2, until Farve and the Vikings can show something.
