Ravens have done some good work, they marched into Tampa last week and beat the Bucs, TNF game as I recall so they have had plenty of time to rest
-Unfortunately Mark Andrews is OUT
-Unfortunately Edwards is Doubtful and likely OUT tonight

I still think DeMarcus Robinson is an intriguing sleeper tonight.
With bye weeks I had to plug in Drake along several slots and teams tonight, happy to have SF/DAL and others back in the cuts next week, just trying to survive Week 9.

Ravens 23
Saints 20

I hate picking against the Saints at home, never works out well for me.

Saints have a few injuries on a defense that has underperformed most of the year. Dalton isn't playing badly,Kamara looks sharp. I think The Saints will score some at home but I don't think they can contain LaMar all night,he'll make some splash plays in prime time and Ravens will win a hard fought game...

Baltimore- 34
New Orleans- 27

It's a Ravens game, so who the hell knows......

As someone who follows Baltimore, I felt better about this game before the Saints crushed LV last week. Likely & Duvernay have the opportunity to have big games.

I haven't watched NO this season and have no idea what's real with them.

I'm going Baltimore 22-20, but there's no result that would surprise me.

In case you haven't heard already, Jeff Saturday is the new head Coach for Indianapolis
I wonder when they started offering him the job?

Jim Irsay looking through a stack of resumes

Head Coach of Hebron Christian Academy football team in Dacula, Georgia? Interesting...

Questions for the home audience to ponder during the game, not MNF related but things we might have seen over the weekend.

-Was scoring down across the NFL? League scores were lower than usual in my redrafts and it felt like several 20-17 type games.

-How good are the Minnesota Vikings? They might be 7-1 but all of their wins feel like 1 score games and then they were manhandled by Philly, hard to gauge where they are at.

-Is Aaron Rodgers going to replace Jimmy G in San Fran next season? Is he washed up or just mired on a bad offense that has no WRs?

-Is Tom Brady going to take the field for another team in 2023 with the NFC wide open? He's undefeated since he got a divorce

-What would Miami Dolphins fans allow Mike McDaniel to do to them without being upset because he's fixed the offense? I would allow him to call timeouts after incomplete passes. I would look the other way when he passes up FG opportunities late in football games to extend leads. Never seen that offense look that good.

If Marino can be there to shake hands with Tua after some of these amazing performances, time to showcase and compare some of the things we're reminded of.

Marino throws like 5 bombs and it's Game 1 of the magical 1984 season. My favorite plays are Marino in the Shotgun

Damarcus Robinson could be the sleeper tonight.

Likely is obvious with Andrews OUT
Gus Edwrads OUT as well so maybe Kenyan Drake will make an appearance again this week?

Or Lamar Jackson could just run in like 4-5 TDs by himself if he wants.

MNF Inactives -

Ravens: TE Mark Andrews, LB Josh Bynes, OG Ben Cleveland, RB Gus Edwards, LB David Ojabo, WR Tylan Wallace

Saints : OG Wyatt Davis, RB Mark Ingram, WR Jarvis Landry, CB Marshon Lattimore, TE Nick Vannett

I keep reading that as Dracula, Georgia and thinking its weird a Christian Academy would be associating with vampires.

New Ravens tend to make a splash in their first game. Watch for Roquan Smith, DeSean Jackson

2022: M. Williams INT
2021: L. Murray TD
2020: C. Campbell 3 pass swats
2019: M. Peters pick six
2019: E. Thomas INT
2018: M. Crabtree, W. Snead, J. Brown all caught TD passes

I've got Ravens 31, Saints 17

Not that he should be started anywhere, but I wouldn't be shocked if D-Jax hit a 40+ yard play in this game. Saints secondary is awful, against everyone other than the Raiders.

Speaking of guys in their 1st game with a new team, I wouldn't be surprised if Jordan Howard was a lot more of an annoyance for Kamara owners than Ingram was. Howard has always seemed to find a way to be more involved than people want him to be.

Kenyan Drake feels like a sneaky candidate for a big game, like 80 yards and a TD. I also think the Ravens D gets some sacks and turnovers tonight.

Interesting question. And one that is being asked of my beloved Horned Frogs as well. My two purple teams doing really well record-wise, but the world asking how good they really are.

Both teams don’t seem to want to play four quarters of football on any given Saturday or Sunday. But I believe both are loaded with talent.

We shall see.

Good news for the Vikings is they have a big lead in the division.

Derrick Henry walked around the Titans locker room last night shaking every defender's hands for just being awesome vs the Chiefs last night.
Tennessee completed 5 passes on offense the entire evening?

Do the Jets have the best defense in the NFL? Is that Laughter I hear? The Jets beat Josh Allen, they beat Hill and Waddle, they have Zach Wilson at QB, any questions?

Looking forward to football.

I have no ideas about these teams. They're all in flux, always because of injuries or QB play. Makes it hard to get a read on them.

Scoring is absolutely down, and I think its a trend. Mostly I think its OLs aren't blocking well, and teams have very little depth there.

Vikings are good but not great. Only 2 winning teams they've faced are the Eagles, and Miami without Tua. The next best team they have a win over is probably...sheesh, Arizona? Offense is a lot more interesting with Hockenson on board though. He seemed like he was instantly the #2 in the passing game.

Rodgers hasn't looked washed up to me at all. I think the problem is lack of weapons, and that he isn't playing at an MVP level. People got accustomed to that MVP level again, so when he plays worse than that, people instinctively think he must suck now, when in reality he went from the best in the NFL, to an above average QB. If anything its just shown how flawed the Packers roster is, in that if they don't have an MVP at QB, its a house of cards.

I kind of feel the same way with Brady, but I think he's playing a little better than Rodgers is. Man, the Bucs drop a ton of passes. Still can't shake the feeling that Tampa is gonna win the NFC South by default, and start looking good right around playoff time, and be the team nobody wants to play. Truthfully, after Philly, and maybe San Fran, I think Tampa is the NFC team I'd least want to play in a high stakes game. You kind of joked about it, but in all seriousness, with the whole divorce in the rear view now, I do think its possible Brady gets laser focused going forward.

Does every program need to have yelling right about now?

Okay, it's after Sunday. We're up, we're up. No need for the screaming.

Ravens 26-16. Dalton has given Baltimore trouble in the past but the new D coordinator plays way more zone and I think they’ll force Andy to hold the ball longer than he wants to. Last couple weeks they’ve given up first quarter TDs and then basically shut it down after that

Big night incoming for Likely, plus with the RB injuries and Tucker in a dome I look for long drives ending in FGs

Roquan! Let’s see if Greg Roman can get a play call in with 20 seconds left on the play clock coming out of a TV timeout
