***Monday Night Football - Washington at Cincinnati*** (-7.5, 47) 8:15 (1 Viewer)

This Bengals D stinks. Which I love because I have Cam T-B & he’s money in IDP cuz they never stop anyone and he’s on the field all the time.

I don't know if anyone noticed but the play call for Daniels was coming in late, most of the WRs to his left were unsure of where they even had to line up
Daniels knew he was going downtown to McLaurin the entire time
How did the Cincinnati Bengals Defense not know?
How did Zac Taylor not know? Is he accountable for anything that happens on Defense?

I am on Washington +8, but learning from yesterday's debacle, I'm not going to quibble over a 1/2 point, so Washington +7.5 please!

EDIT: Rethinking this...yesterday, no favorite won and failed to cover.

7 favorites won and covered, and 7 favorites lost outright. Pretty wild...not sure I want to lay money on the Commanders to be the trend smasher.

Maybe WAS +300?

Yes, Washington +7.5 and Jermaine Burton over 0.5 tds.
Big Winner to close out a 4-5 week.

Zero Pass Rush. Didn't have much to beginning with and then lost the top 2 DTs.

Burrow gonna have an incredible fantasy season - mainly because we need to score 42 to have a chance to win.

Keeping the faith but things are broken right now :kicksrock:

Have to go 10-4 to have a chance and they haven’t played a division game yet. Don't love it.

That's been a problem for Washington in all 3 games this year --- late play calls, confusion after timeouts, stuff like that. You have to remember this is basically an expansion team with new owners, new front office, new coaching staff, and probably more new players on their roster than any team in the league. It's going to take some time to get all the stuff right on the field, especially after years of sloppy coaching by Jay Gruden and Ron Rivera. Late playcalls are a problem for them right now, but I think they'll get it fixed. On the bright side they cut down their penalties tonight.

By the way, that was the most fun Washington game to watch since RG3 and Alfred Morris were rookies in 2012.

Gotta invoke the Paul Brown 1970 Bengals. Started 1-6 and made the playoffs.

Alfred Morris. Great pull. My God, how many of us have chased him in our fantasy careers?

What is impressive is how calm Daniels was while his WRs looked cluelesss on the last 2 drives. Ertz was also telling certain players to get off the field. He was a good pickup. Unsure if the confusion was on the OC, players, or both. Some clean up needed there.

Now on D we still got issues. And they start up front. Newton is better than Allen. Allen has 4 tackles in 3 games. I noticed some other players like Baptiste getting more time too. They dont stop the run either. I think Allen is done. Payne seemed to be ok. The LBs are clearly hugely upgraded over the past few seasons. DL needs to get pressure though cause the CBs aren’t talented enough until they get another offseason to bring in more players.

Has McLaurin not got open this season or does Jayden not know how to throw a football?
Huh? Dude is completing like 78% of his passes as a rookie. If you are banking on big stats from a single WAS WR, it isn't likely. None of them are that good to be a primary target.
lol. Ridiculous. McLaurin is absolutely good enough.

Could have easily had three TD's last night. Dropped a few yards short on his first deep route.
Then was wide open for what would have been #2.
And obviously his TD catch which was amazing.

I think last night was the coming out party.

My comment was more of an indictment on the Bengals Defense not Washington
I'm with you on all the new pieces they have going right now, it's understandable
I just feel like they were telegraphing the throw and to see McLaurin beat the lone Cornerback into the end zone, where was the Bengals' Safety on that play?
And the WRs lined up to Daniels' left, even after they snap they didn't really run any specific route, they just looked like they were roaming wherever like in street football

-I am not the least bit shocked Washington is 2-1, I've been impressed with Daniels since the preseason and I would just implore the organization to build around him, protect him and pour more resources into the offense. Nothing against BRob but a more dynamic lead RB would be a great addition or someone that can form a 1-2 punch on the ground for him. I like McLaurin but they should start making calls about Adams availability. I know Playoffs sounds like a tall task his rookie year but this kid went 21 of 23 last night, don't assume he can't will them into the Playoffs much like CJS did last year wit Houston...get Daniels one more toy at WR this year, don't put it off, take action.

They have some momentum they haven't had in a while. Washington Defense needs work, maybe a trade for a high level DB or something in the Edge/Front 7 would be a good idea.
I wouldn't wait til the Draft next year, Washington will not be picking in the Top 5-10 any time soon IMHO
They just put everyone on notice last night that they have a bright up and coming star at QB
New Day in Washington

Bengals missing top 2 DT's and former first round pick DE Myles Murphy. The next two up are rookies that have been out injured and one just played his first game with his hand in a club cast. We started 3rd rounders. And the run defense is bad when they starters are playing.

I think they're 2 more offseasons away from being an all-around good team. I don't think they're close to all-around good right now. But I'm impressed with what good play they're getting from the players they have. Quinn and Kingsbury seem to be improving. I wish I could say the same about the defense. No pressure from the DE's leaves Payne and Allen double-teamed most of the time, and the secondary is still confused way too often. But they're just 3 games in; some of these guys are still getting to know each other (and their assignments).

Man that game was fun to watch.
