MoP's NEW RULES! 1/19-New Rule...anyone who resorts to name calling is simply a loser and this thread will continually be bumped to remind you of that (1 Viewer)

I'm ripping one of my fav TV hosts Bill Maher off and start a list of new rules here in the FFA.

-New Rule...when a poster writes several paragraphs or thoughts that contradict your thoughts, fly against your personal beliefs, are a total 180 from how you look at something or everything, you do not simply get to write the other poster is crazy, stupid or both. So if you decide to go that route you are automatically waiving the white flag to everyone.

Politicians rail for hours on the floor and very rarely do you ever see another politician openly question the intelligence of another Senator or Representative. These politicians will argue for hours on the floor, sometimes it gets heated but usually they have respect for the other person.

Now I have respect for folks who managed to grad high school, maybe college and have made a life for themselves in this crazy world. I want to learn what they know even if I think it might be misguided. I've never seen people so frightened and scared of themselves and their own inability to convey thoughts that they run to try and put the other poster down hoping that will end the exchange. It's ridiculous.

The New Rules need not be limited to FBG.

-New Rule...Stores have to start honoring the prices on the shelves at the register. It's not good enough to adjust the price after I say something. How about all those folks who thought they were being charged one price and paid another that already were at the store today? Are you going to refund their money tonight as the computer tallies the tapes? Infuriating!!!

Feel free to pile on

-New Rule...You can't make a big deal out of the Russians and Trump when the weeks leading up to the election clearly the Wikileaks was being downplayed and ignored by much of the media. But after Trump magically wins suddenly we have everyone acting like they were raped by the Russians. You cannot have it both ways.

another swedish fish incident?
You pick up the Gobstoppers and it says 4/$3 and then they want to charge you 1.49 at the register.

Publix yesterday, salad dressing was $2 cheaper on the shelf...not only did they refund me the diff but gave me the item for free. That's so I don't ask them how many people they have ripped off. How does a lawyer not file a class action lawsuit? They could cripple these stores. How hard is it to line the Sku numbers with the software in the register? They do it purposely to try and screw people over, it's really the truth.

This is a voluntary code that most retailers follow in Canada. If it scans wrong and is under $10, you get it free. If it's over $10, you get $10 off. I imagine there's something similar in the US.

Keep fighting the good fight, Leo Getz.

New Rule:

You have to remove the little man from your drink before taking a drink and put him back after you're finished.

Everyone's favorite rule

-New Rule...Companies have to stop catering to criminals and screwing their customer base. Since they added that little security chip on the debit card/CC, it has turned checking out at the grocery store from an easy just wait on the clerk to now I am going slower than Granny with a checkbook, and all in the name of the small group of untrustworthy humans.

"Feels so good Aunt Diane"

You are so wrong about Costco that I can't take any of your opinions seriously.
All those jumbo bags of Doritos end up on the family hips, just look around at the size of folks. The cost per mouthful is less I give you that but the number of mouthfuls being devoured is a lot more. Factor in all the long term health costs as people deteriorate from loading up on pounds of unnecesary food.

Imagine there was an era when folks bought fresh food almost daily, how did they ever survive?

This all depends on the store. If you can find one that accepts Apple Pay or the Android version, you can do all of that before they finish scanning your items and be done with it without taking your wallet out.

I also receive a notice from my AMEX whenever a charge is placed against my card, it also differentiates between a charge made with or without the card present (like online or at a Pizza delivery place or such). That way I can track all charges made against my account. Very nice.

You do know they have actual fresh food there?

But the carts are only so big and once you are loaded down with those jumbo bags of Doritos and cases of coke there is no room.  And then those damn apples are so heavy they crush your chips.  Nothing upsets me more than crushed chips.  And don't get me started on those damn credit card chips.  So many questions.  How do I know if the amount is correct?  Do I look like a human calculator!?  NEW RULE:  No more questions.

I don't think these are rules but more so things that grind your gears that you then make irrational sweeping negative conclusions about.

This one's my favorite.

It's deliciously nonsensical.

I don't think he wrote it.  It seems like someone hacked his account.  I may have found the original:
