TV Shows:

1) Simpsons -- Watched parts of episodes, never understood the love.

2) Seinfeld -- Rarely found it funny despite trying multiple times to watch.

3) Cheers -- Never really watched it as a kid despite its popularity. I was more of a Cosby Show and Family Ties person.

4) X-files -- Never seen it.

5) M*A*S*H -- Never seen it.

Movies:

1) Caddyshack -- Still have never seen this. I know I need to :bag:

2) Ghostbusters -- I've seen parts here and there but never watched it all the way through. Not much interest.

3) Monty Python and the Holy Grail -- I've seen some parts, didn't find it that funny long ago, never tried again. I know I'd probably enjoy it now but haven't gotten around to it.

4) It's a Wonderful Life -- For whatever reason, I always change the channel when it's on during Christmas as I've never caught it from the beginning.

5) The Big Lebowski -- Tried a few times to watch, could never get through it.

Thought for sure I was the only one. I've never seen a single episode. All of the promos looked terrible to me so I never bothered to watch and 20-some years later nothing's changed my mind about it.

I thought the X-Files was cheesy and silly.

Ghostbusters is a very good kids/early teens movie.

I've never thought Lebowski was all that great. I enjoyed it the first time I saw it but didn't really do much for me when I watched it again. Not really sure I get the adoration.

Simply sad.

Some will be angry at you for not liking what they like. It is just entertainment though so to each their own. A lot of those shows and movies though needed to be experienced in the moment to understand the allure. I never watched Cheers or Mash continuously since I was too young. Lebowski is OK but that's just my opinion on Coen Bros in general.

I watched the Simpsons when I was 8 till 18 religiously. Seinfeld from 14 on. Xfiles from 11 on. Ghostbusters when I was 7 and Caddyshack at 13. All hit right at that emotional moment in my life. They each hold a nostalgic place in my memory for me.

Its hard to go back and capture a moment of nostalgia that you never had.

This point here. If I knew an adult who has never seen Holy Grail, I'd say to skip it. Especially a female! Lots of movies I loved when they came out may not hold up very well today.

Seinfeld. Horrible show.
:goodposting:

I hate when people come up to me and make a Seinfeld reference and just assume I remember that episode. No. I don't.

My top ones are basically Seinfeld for TV, and Pulp Fiction for movies. Never got Pulp Fiction, as I think I've stated before.

I'm crossing boatloads of people off my Christmas card list in this thread.

But I don't like the Simpsons

Add me to the Seinfeld haters club. I guess I don't hate it, but it certainly isn't a favorite of mine. Characters are hateful. Not one redeeming quality in any of them.

Dumb and Dumber...well let's just say it lived up to its name for me. There a certain kind of humor than misses me somehow and this is it.

I've been meaning to see the Godfather movies, but I never seem to get around to it.

On the TV side, I've been meaning to check out Breaking Bad.

TV Shows:

1) Simpsons -- Watched parts of episodes, never understood the love. same

2) Seinfeld -- Rarely found it funny despite trying multiple times to watch. Never watched a entire episode, don't understand the love.

3) Cheers -- Never really watched it as a kid despite its popularity. I was more of a Cosby Show and Family Ties person. Nope

4) X-files -- Never seen it. Ok, but not special

5) M*A*S*H -- Never seen it. This I loved.

Movies:

1) Caddyshack -- Still have never seen this. I know I need to :bag: Pretty Funny when I was 12.

2) Ghostbusters -- I've seen parts here and there but never watched it all the way through. Not much interest. Nope

3) Monty Python and the Holy Grail -- I've seen some parts, didn't find it that funny long ago, never tried again. I know I'd probably enjoy it now but haven't gotten around to it. Don't get it?

4) It's a Wonderful Life -- For whatever reason, I always change the channel when it's on during Christmas as I've never caught it from the beginning. Can't sit through it.

5) The Big Lebowski -- Tried a few times to watch, could never get through it. I hate that I don't get it. Not funny to me.

The Matrix. Didn't like it.

I basically hate all the comic book movies. All the Superman films, every Batman, Iron man, Spiderman. I guess I didn't read the comics as a kid, so I have no interest in the popcorn movies about them.

I get saying you dont like a movie after watching it, but not sure i get saying you hate a show while admitting you haven't even seen a full episode.

good point. But sometimes the promos and premise make it undesirable. The Shield is one for me.

For movies its Fargo and Dumb and Dumber. I like Jim Carey but wouldnt rate D&D in my list of Carey Faves. Saw Fargo and was bored out of my mind. Didnt bother watching the tv version.

i guess i get it for something like Seinfeld- people talking about how great it is/constantly quoting it. That could get old without having seen an episode.

The Wire

I recognize that it is very well written and realistic, so I'm not saying its bad, but on a purely entertainment level it falls far below many other shows.

I don't care for Caddyshack (if Airplane is similar I probably won't like that either), Lebowski, The Wire, Mad Men, any Monty Python stuff, Family Guy (I feel like my friends are trolling me when they asked if I saw the last episode).

Never seen:

- The Big Lebowski

- Animal House

- Kingpin

ETA: Never seen Caddyshack from start to finish. I've seen the parts with Bill Murray hunting the gopher.

Never cared much for the Simpsons.

Not sure if these are "classics" level but Inception, South Park, pretty much every Marvel comic book movie jump to mind.

Completely forgot South Park. That's on my list too.

As for those that haven't watched the Godfather......fix that, pronto.

People who dont like Seinfeld should be ashamed of themselves
Ive never seen the Godfather movies
:lmao:
i never said i didnt like godfather. Just never had a chance to sit down and watch a bunch of 3 hour movies.
Not liking something is a matter of opinion. Not seeing the Godfather is a matter of failing at life.

You could get hit by a bus tomorrow. Boom. Dead. You never saw Godfather.

WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?

Movies:

Is Inception a "classic" yet - that movie was a step below nonsensical tripe.

Spirited Away - got a standing ovation in the theater... I thought I was in bizarro world.

Memento - movies like this have to be internally consistent to hold my interest.

TV Shows:

Everybody Loves Raymond

Two and a half men

Watched Animal House and 48 Hours again recently and didn't enjoy them like I did originally. Time and place I guess.

Still love Caddyshack though.
