NY Giants at Philadelphia (5 Viewers)

With a timeout, why not run one more play? From 15 out there's a plenty of plays for less than 7 seconds!
Chip was probably worried about a turnover. 10 pt lead going into 2nd half and getting thee ball isn't so bad. It doesn't look like the Giants offense will do much against the Eagles D. I don't blame Chip for being conservative there.

They should really just call this game now. Save any further embarrassment to both teams, the refs and the clock operator.

Holy cow. Under 2 minutes and that catch on the sideline wasn't reviewed. After the hold no hold, I clearly heard an official say reset the clock to 40 seconds but allowed the Eagles to snap the ball at 33 seconds which was the time the previous play ended.

I think the clock was supposed to be running

Why clock the ball when we have 2 time outs though?
That's what I didnt get. Maybe Bradford thought we only had 1.
Was just thinking this. The Eagles might have thought that they got charged the timeout when they called one earlier and the Giant was injured. Could also explain why CHip kicked with 7 seconds and a timeout. The kick is more obviously the call with no timeouts there

It was the playclock that he said should be reset to 0:40. He's supposed to also say "start the game clock on my signal" but failed to do so.

Guess this crew will have to suffer the indignity of reffing the NFC Championship game instead of the Super Bowl...or whatever passes for discipline in the NFL Officiating Community these days.

the non-review of that catch is what gets me. he looked pretty clearly out of bounds and gave the Giants a free 10-12 yards not even looking at it.

This is my feeling as well. Called one, then got it credited back due to NYG injury. Might be the case the officiating crew didn't make that clear.

I still can't believe they didn't overturn the Beckham td catch. I think a reciever has to touched while going to the ground or he can't become a runner? I can't remember exactly how that rule goes anymore.

Other way around...if he'd been touched on his way down, he'd be "down by contact." If he hits the ground without ever being touched by a defender, he can get up and keep running. (Or get up and spike it, allowing the defense to recover, if his name is Plaxico Burress...)

Getting really beat up for a short week traveling to Carolina. DeMeco where already thin at LB w/Kiko and Kendricks out, now Agholor, Huff, Cooper all dinged at WR.

Ooooof.
