*Official 1st Day Draft Thread -Round 1 - Round 3* (1 Viewer)

I would love to see him end up in BLACK N' GOLD! I think that people are way too fast to forget that pre-workouts, this kid was the top CB in the draft pool. He would be an awsome addition in the 2nd for the Steelers
I would be pretty stoked to get Gamble at #44.

This could not be going better for the Titans.Players they are high on:StarksGambleDockettOdomLaBoyBabinPooleGrove CRogers GSmiley GTroupe and Watson TEThe Titans have 2 of the next 16 and 3 of the next 30 picks.I would not be surprised to see them trade the 27 down to the mid 30's and pick up another 2nd or 3rd.

I wish the phins would move up and get one of these guys.Even with Carey, the team still needs depth along the OL, and it needs a run blocking guard for the LG spot so they can keep James at RG next to Carey.

that definitely drops Perry's draft value down to 4-6 OR LOWER range. not 3.and do chris brown owners have a JONES to be afraid of?

R. Johnson value just dropped with C. Perry joining the party.
Only slightly, IMO. Perry isn't a better RB than Rudi, and you need two in the NFL.A little surprised they didn't take North-South runner Kevin Jones, but Perry is definitely a Marvin Lewis type of player.

Trade - TEN HOU

TEN gets: 2004 2nd, 2004 3rd, 2004 4th, 2004 5th

HOU gets: 2004 1st (#27) (Jason Babin), 2004 5th

Woah.Hou gives 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th for Tenn's 2nd and 5th
Dumb Dumb Dumb. For a young expansion team that was really starting to gel, trading this much for a DE was a huge error. If they wanted to give up the farm, I'm sure the Dolphins would have accomodated them in exchange for O-Gun. Next year's 1 and this year's 2 probably would have done it and they'd have had a sure thing at DE.

I think the Niners take either Woods or Randy STarks here. I thought Starks would be off the board 10 picks ago.

Trade -- CAR SF

CAR gets: 2004 1st (#28) (Chris Gamble)

SF gets: 2004 1st (#31), 2004 4th (#127)

Who was doing that little dance?Woods would be the 6th WR in the first if that happened, tying a record.
Did they just trade the pick to CAR?Hmm, and they could STILL get Woods. I'd guess they're getting a 4th to move down?

niners traded the pick to carolina?is this the wackiest draft anyone remembers?
Anyone know what Carolina gave to move up?Watching your team trade down twice is tough to take.EDIT -- looks like an extra 4th rounder (#127??) for the 49ers. Sticking to their guns on stockpiling picks.
