Wow, first week I'm going to be sweating the turk. Sitting at 97+ with Sanchez (-0) and R Bush (-6.3). If the cut line ends up in the mid 120's, I'm going to be REALLY close...

Sitting @ 130 with LT (-4.10). If Tomlinson doesn't do something (and at this point, very little counts as "something"), my RBs will have combined for 9 points. Ya-hoo. I built around WRs and it's been OK so far. Kinda worried moving forward though.

What is the normal bump to the cut line with a Monday Night Game? I am really hoping for a low scoring and boring game with a lot of punts.
It depends. Last week, if I remember correctly, it bumped up almost 15 points. I doubt it will move too much tonight due to the likely-hood of a low scoring game.
The ownership percentage on the guys in tonight's game is so low that it would take a monster game by one of the players to have any effect at all. Most of them are owned by only 2-3% of teams.

And it is expected to be a low scoring game. Low ownership plus low scoring means the line will not move like last week during MNF. Likely cut around 115-118?

Had rice, R Bush and Hightower this week with Wells and Tolbert on a Bye (Also had vjax on a bye). Didnt help that Julio was called out and hightower was useless. Sitting at 105.9 and need reggie to contribute. This is the worst bye week for me. Hoping reggie does the most on MNF.

I'm interested to see what everyone's biggest surprises and biggest disappointments on your team is right now.

Mine are easy:

Disappointments:

1. Lance Moore and Lee Evans. They'll explode some games and disappear for 5 games after that. Every year I say I won't touch Evans again with a 10 foot pole and every year I get suckered. At least Moore helped out one week when I lost Miles Austin and badly needed someone to step up.

2. PHI and CAR D. Yeah, my bad for not re-evaluating things after the Philly D was getting shredded every week during the pre-season. My gut told me to grab DET, but I just thought they weren't great past that monster D-line. Well, that D-line is piling up sacks this year.

Surprises:

1. Matt Forte and Beanie Wells. Beanie was that cheapish 3rd RB I needed and Forte was my homer pick. I waffled back and forth between Forte because I knew that O-line was dreadful but he, along with Shady McCoy, is really carrying my team.

2. Greg Olsen. Who'd have guessed that Newton would be such a stats machine early on? Olsen has been a reliable, and cheap, crutch for me every week.

*edit*3. Akers and Hanson. Jeez, how'd I forget these two. Money well spent with the two of them.

To be determined:

1. Tim Hightower. He was always there as a consistant performer early on, but injuries have killed him the last two weeks. If he can return healthy, I have a luxery of depth at RB that 75% of the teams don't have.

Well now I am down to 6 WR's with Parrish and Amendola both done for the year. I thought 8 total would be a decent number since last year I went with 11 and found it to be a waste of roster space.Fitzgerald, VJax, Dez Bryant, McCluster, A. Brown, and D. Moore will have to carry me now
I need a lot of luck this week. Only went with 6 WR and one of those being Roscoe Parish. 3 of my WR are on bye, Marshall, Bryant, Little. So I am cheering hard for everybody's favorite Denarious Moore and Dexter McCluster.
Somehow made it through week 5 with only 2.8 points from my WRs. Skimmed by the cut 111 to 104. My RBs are not good for week 6 with Deangelo, Felix, Knowshown, spiller, mcgahee, hardesty, ringer, and goodson.

fftools shows the cut currently at a little over 109. Is that value accurate?
Usually this is very accurate as a "right now" cutoff. Will go up a little with the MNF game tonight. Btw where do you find the FFLTools cut line?
If you go to your "team" page, it's listed in the top left, just above the team scores and just below the navigation. It currently says
Code:
Last Update - Cutoff: Monday, October 17th 12:31am Cutoff at that time: 109.10

I'm interested to see what everyone's biggest surprises and biggest disappointments on your team is right now.
Biggest disappointment: Felix Jones

- I have a weak RB corps by choice, and Jones was supposed to be my cheap stud. He's been a bust so far.

Biggest surprise:

My TE trio of Owen Daniels, Fred Davis, and Aaron Hernandez

- I expected good things from this trio, but obviously I didn't know they'd be this good.

Disappointments

Jerrel Jernigan & Anthony Armstrong - Thought Jernigan would do what Victor Cruz is doing. Bzzz Sorry Hans, wrong guess!

Surprises

Jordy Nelson & my 6 TE's

Jermichael Finley

Jimmy Graham

Lance Kendricks

Travis Beckum

Evan Moore

Delanie Walker

If you bookmarked the site before the change added the cutline, you'll have to reclick the FBG Application link, re-enter your team number, then re-bookmark it. Then, you'll see the cutline and ownership percentages.

Here are my surprises and disappointments so far:

Philip Rivers - Really thought he was the cheapest of the elite QBs. Turns out he was actually the most expensive of the mediocre QBs.

Colt McCoy - He's been my starting QB each of the last three weeks he's played. That's nice, but it makes me more angry that I wasted all that money on Rivers.

Chris Wells - He missed week 3 but has started for me every other week. Might not have survived week 4 if not for his 31 point performance. Now that his bye has passed I hope he continues to contribute at a high level.

Reggie Bush - Had a great week 1 when there were no eliminations. Hasn't started for me since.

Tim Hightower - Strong the first three weeks, but has since disappeared. I was hoping the Wells/Bush/Hightower combo would produce RB1-type numbers at RB2 prices but 2/3 of them look like busts at this point.

Bernard Scott - Not sure exactly what I was thinking with this pick, but I knew going in that there was a very good chance he wouldn't be a regular contributor (and he hasn't). I'm holding out hope that he will start earning that $9 I spent on him at some point.

Pierre Thomas - This was a bit of a hedge because I own Ingram in all my other leagues. I figured if Ingram was a bust, it might mean Thomas was taking over and getting all that RB production on a high-powered offense. Instead I'm stuck in this nightmare of mediocrity. Still, he counted for me in weeks 4 and 5 and sometimes you just need that kind of performance to keep you afloat.

Deji Karim - Wasn't expecting anything, just a high upside kind of pick for the price.

Bilal Powell - See Karim, Deji.

Ben Tate - See Karim, Deji. I thought Tate had the most upside of these cheap guys due to his offense and Foster's hammy issues.

Marion Barber - See Karim, Deji. Barber may have saved my team from elimination this week.

Dez Bryant - Missed time with injury but otherwise has produced pretty much as expected. Double digit points every week.

Mike Williams - I was going to write "bust" here but looking at it he's counted for me 4 of 6 weeks and has quietly put up ok numbers. Not worth the money I paid for him, of course, but he could break out any moment.

Mario Manningham - Not getting what I expected from him. He was thisclose to having a huge week this week though, and the potential is still there with him.

Lance Moore - Thought he might be a more regular contributor with Reggie Bush gone, but I pretty much knew he'd be boom or bust on a weekly basis. Was hoping there'd be more boom and less bust at this point, though.

Nate Burleson - Started strong, then disappeared for three weeks, but put up double digits yesterday. Jury's still out.

Danny Amendola - Waste of $8, obviously.

Malcom Floyd - One big week so far. I'm hoping there are a handful more in his future.

Antonio Brown - Had a nice streak going in weeks 2-4 but has since disappeared. Already worth the $3 I spent on him but hoping he can once again be a bigger part of the offense.

Denarius Moore - See Brown, Antonio.

Owen Daniels - Did nothing for me this week but otherwise I've been happy with this pick.

Brandon Pettigrew - Very pleasantly surprised with this pick. Hope he can keep it up, as I expect to get my flex score from the TE position more often than not.

Lance Kendricks - Finally started for me this week but has otherwise been a bust.

Josh Brown - Whatever.

Mike Nugent - The only player that has started for me every single week so far. Go figure.

Jay Feely - Whatever.

St. Louis Rams - Haven't been good.

Arizona Cardinals - Haven't been good.

Here, I'll break down my crew:

QB - Brady, Hasselbeck, McCoy. Brady is Brady. Hasselbeck has been a pleasant surprise - he was just about the last guy I added. McCoy is about what I expected.

RB- ADP, Benson, Hightower, P Thomas, MB III, I Redman. ADP has been a little disappointing so far, but his blow-up weeks are what I'm after anyway. Benson has been solid, not spectacular. Hightower had me excited for a a little while but now I'm just hoping to get random Shanahan-inspired production. I'm glad that the other 3 seem to chipping in with their teams at least - kinda what I expected.

WR - VJax, S Moss, L Evans, Plax, Burleson, Ant Brown, D Moore, Cribbs. VJax has been a little disappointing so far. Moss has been solid, more so than I expected. Evans has been a disaster - at this rate I hope he's just salvagable for later week points if I'm still in. I was excited about Burleson but that has cooled a bit. D Moore has disappeared and I feel like that's waste now. Ant Brown's been decent and I think Cribbs has been a great buy for $2.

TE - Daniels, Hernandez, F Davis, E Moore. Ecstatic with this group. The price/performance has been great and I've gotten nearly all of my flex guys from here.

PK - Suisham, Nugent, Feely. Nugent has been largely carrying things. Thought Feely would be good for something.

TD - Dallas, Arizona, Buffalo. The Bills have been a super bargain for $2. I feel good with what I'm getting from these.

-QG

I wonder how the scores will pan out for Week 7 with so many regular contributors having their BYE.

Should be interesting.

I'm interested to see what everyone's biggest surprises and biggest disappointments on your team is right now.
Biggest Disappointments To Date:Lance Moore

Lance Kendricks

Amendola(injury related, but still disappointing)

Biggest Surprises To Date:

Willis McGahee

Mike Nugent

Happiness is... owning Mike Sims Walker in the contest! :)oh yeah, btw today is opposites day. <_<
Somehow I decided that having MSW, Bernard Berrian, Donovan McNabb and the Broncos defense was more value added to my roster than last minute cuts including Nate Burleson, Ben Tate and Marion Barber.I'm the Jerry Angelo of subscription contest entrants.

Week 7 is my biggest concern. I lose Shady, Avant, Celek, Akers and PHI D. All of them have contributed to my final score at least twice this season.

120.25 with no one left tonight. Either way, my entry is not long for this world. It is interesting to me that with all the real-world NFL scoring that most of this thread is filled with people bemoaning their teams - that's not how I remember the past few years of threads. I'll certainly be contributing to the disappointing 30-man roster performance soon.

Stealing from Iggy:

Here are my surprises and disappointments so far:

Tony Romo - Really thought he was the cheapest and earliest bye of the top-end fantasy QBs. He's been fine so far.

Matthew Stafford - My starting QB 5 of 6 weeks. Not a surprise so much, but still pleased by him. Went through lots of iterations with McCoy, Hassleback, and/or Henne as backups to Stafford, but couldn't pull the trigger, instead going with Romo. Wish I had that $15 back now.

Chris Wells - I purposely went weak at RB. Beanie has been everything I'd hoped.

Brandon Jacobs - Bought the resurgent NYG rushing attack, especially as a plan to keep that injured D off the field. Hasn't quite panned out, and neither has that high YPC Jacobs had in the preseason.

Mike Tolbert - Strong start, but looks to have been clearly passed by Matthews. Thought Tolbert would be a good value play. Still can contribute, but I'm scared. Has become much more of an injury play than a solid RBBC guy.

Pierre Thomas - Thought he would be a solid floor guy. Definitely has been, just a much lower floor than I expected. Has counted twice, but that speaks to my lack of RB talent more than anything else.

Upside RBs - Jerome Harrison, Deji Karim, Ben Tate, Isaac Redman. Disappointed a bit in Harrison's opportunity so far, but can't complain.

Kenny Britt - Ouch. The worst part is that his production the first few weeks definitely had me believing in this being a pleasant surprise. Whoops.

Dez Bryant - I've been happy. Still waiting on that full break out game.

Mario Manningham - Not what I was hoping for. Still has chances to be great, but disappointed so far. More so because I was flip flopping between him and Welker up until the deadline.

Lance Moore & Nate Burleson - I wanted to put these two as disappointments. But combine the two and they've counted every week (ouch at 6 points in week 5) and I'm not sure any $18 WR has performed better.

Bernard Berrian & Harry Douglass - I really expected more. Then again, I was apparently on the crazy juice.

Denarius Moore - eh.

Owen Daniels - He's been great.

Aaron Hernandez - Even happier here. Thanks Waldman.

Lance Kendricks & Evan Moore - Both busts. Had Fred Davis or Pettigrew in here instead of these two up until the very end, when I decided quantity was worth it. Mistake.

Buffalo D - Didn't feel like typing out something for all the K and D, but these guys have really been a nice surprise.

I will follow Iggy's format, here are my surprises and disappointments so far:

Philip Rivers - Like a lot of people, thought he would keep up the yardage. Looks like Gates being out and the good play of Mathews has put the damper on him.

Mark Sanchez - Other than the Baltimore disaster, has actually been quite serviceable given I was trying to skimp on my 2nd QB.

Chris Wells - Probably the only hit so far of my throw S#!& against the wall RB strategy.

Reggie Bush - The upside is that Daniel Thomas could continue with the injury issues.

Tim Hightower - Knew he would be up and down given Shanahan, but has only managed to start 1 week for me so far.

Willis McGahee - Thought he would be on the better end of a timeshare, and has slightly outperformed. Will be interested to see what Tebow does to his value.

Pierre Thomas - I don't know what I was expecting, probably just the chance that one of Sproles or Ingram gets hurt. For $7 I really can't complain, there were a lot of expensive back-up RBs this year.

Montario Hardesty - The Hillis situation has played out nicely so far, but really need him to go down with a longer-term injury or get traded.

Ben Tate - Somewhat impressed so far in limited time, value obviously tied to Foster getting injured.

Isaac Redman - See Tate, Ben.

Larry Fitzgerald - Kind of wish Kolb would lock on to him more frequently. If anything I have been disappointed in Kolb's play overall.

Steve Johnson - About what I have expected, has started in 5 of 6.

Nate Burleson - About what I expected for a $8 WR. For context, Earl Bennett is another $8 WR that I almost took.

Danny Amendola - Not his fault, but dead money is dead money.

Malcom Floyd - Only 1 start, even with Gates out. SD passing game in general is the letdown.

Brian Robiskie - I can't even blame him for being disappointing, this one is on me for foolishly including him based on a couple training camp reports.

Harry Douglas - Matt Ryan is not an elite NFL QB, had hope before the season he might make the jump with his new weapon in Julio Jones.

Antonio Brown - $3 and started 2 weeks so far? Please and thank you.

Denarius Moore - $3 and started 3 weeks so far? Please and thank you much.

Dexter McCluster - Has blown opportunity to shine after JC's injury, but I think he may be able to put up some good weeks in the future.

Owen Daniels - About what I expected, I think he was just under priced.

Aaron Hernandez - Studly when he plays, can't ask for much more.

Lance Kendricks - Meh, this is one where I heard all the hype and fell for it. There just weren't a ton of TE options at this price point.(other than Fred Davis who I never considered)

Evan Moore - Despite him not having started for me yet, I still like his production and potential for $2

Billy Cundiff - No less than 9 pts in any game so far.

Josh Brown - Meh, stupid kickers.

Nick Folk - Meh

San Diego Chargers - Just to complete the cycle of all my rostered SD players being disappointments.

Houston Texans - Didn't know how the 3-4 transition was going to work in the first year; so far so good minus the Mario injury obviously.

St. Louis Rams - Meh

Happiness is... owning Mike Sims Walker in the contest! :)oh yeah, btw today is opposites day. <_<

VEEBS!!!! How the hell are you GB?

My Staff -

QBS

Big Ben & Kolb - This crew has split time starting for me. Week 4 was brutal, both of them didnt put up more than 11. This week was a bit rough as well.

RBS

Rice - used weekly (except the bye). He was well worth the stud dollars.

Wells - Hes been a surprise and used 3 weeks.

Bush - came through this week and week 1. Otherwise el busto

Tolbert - hes contributed 4 of 6 weeks so cant call him bad just yet

Hightower - Weak..

44 bucks spent on bush tolbert and hightower.

WRS

Wallace, V Jax, Julio - Good choices me thinks

A Brown - surprised me thus far since hes contributed so much

Cobb- had a good week or two

L Moore - had one good week

D Moore - Two weeks of contributing

TES

Kendricks, F Davis, Tamme and Mcmicheal.

Tamme has been a waste, McMichael has been a suprise thanks to gates being out

Ks

janikowski, lindell, feeley - Feeley a waste, the others solid

Ds

Houston, Det - two rough weeks but otherwise a teens from one of them weekly.

As of the last FFLTools update (as of 10:30) the cutoff listed on the site hasnt budged from 109.1. Could that be? Or does the site not update the cutoff during the game?

Because the cutoff process takes so long (it runs through all the teams and finds out their total score), it isn't run until after the games are done. It'll run tonight after the game at 12:30 (probably wont be published until 1am), then again at 2 to finalize the cutoff.

Looks like I'm going to come in around 122. If that's enough, it'll be the first time I've made it to the top 5000. Thank-you Mark Sanchez for not putting up a stinker tonight and Reggie Bush for coming through with the extra couple points I might need to avoid the Turk for another week.

I'm interested to see what everyone's biggest surprises and biggest disappointments on your team is right now.
Dissapointments are Felix Jones, Mike Simms Walker and Danny Amendola  Surprises are Chris Wells, Stevie Johnson, Darrius Hayward Bay and my TE trio of Jimmy Graham, Brandon Pettigrew and Fred Davis

Pleasant Surprises

Calvin Johnson - I expected monster potential out of him, he has exceeded even that

Brandon Pettigrew - I wanted to avoid the Hernandez/Daniels combo that seemed so popular. Pettigrew has put up big points this year.

Dez Bryant - Hasn't but up the monster game he is capable of yet, but a good value for his price

Dissapointments

Felix Jones - Not much needs to be said

Danny Amendola - Wasted $8

Tim Hightower - Looks to be useless now

I don't consider Ingram a bust at this point because I took him under the assumption that he would have a slow 1st half of the year and come on as the season progressed

Cut is at 113.05. I made it another week I don't think my team will be in it much longer. Last year I had a 19 man roster and made it this far knocked out in week 7. This year went with a 29 player roster and probably wont make it much longer. I think next year I will go with a 23-25 man roster. A few more studs a little less depth.

Next week should be interesting. Thankfully many others have Welker too. Gresham out could hurt. Mario shouldn't matter.

Hope that cut line is accurate. Seeing the cut at 113.05 and my team is sitting at 114.45. Thank you Plaxico for only having one catch, which put me over the cutline.

Happiness is... owning Mike Sims Walker in the contest! :)

proxy sinn

busy, my man, busy.

Wes Welker

Aaron Hernandez

Vernon Davis

Ryan Fitzpatrick

...are the key guys on my team that have their BYE this week. I don't like my chances when my other TEs are Lance Kendricks and Evan Moore.

My only hope is that there are a ton of other teams in similar positions and the cut line is as low as it was the other week.

:hophead:

114.5 :pickle:

My team: Surprises and Disappointments

QB - Fitz has saved what could have been a major down fall by expecting too much out of Ryan early in the season

Matt Ryan - has only scored for me once. Had a few good scoring weeks but has had some weeks in the low teens.

Ryan Fitzpatrick - Been the star of my team alongside Welker.

Blaine Gabbert - Already scored for me once so this low money upside guy has already paid for himself and hopefully I get one blow up week down the stretch.

RB - All my guys have scored for my team at twice, so I guess I have gotten what I paid for.

Felix Jones - he is what he has always been - A talented guy that can't stay on the field enough.

Chris Wells - has scored for me all weeks that he has played, so hopefully he can stay healthy.

Tim Hightower - scored great for 3 weeks then fell victim to Shanny's master plan??? Maybe he gets one more shot when Torain fails.

Willis McGahee - Be interesting to see how his role changes with Tebow. Hopefully he can continue to produce decent games and the occasional TD.

Pierre Thomas - Seems that his role continues to decrease and it was never good to begin.

WR - This has been my team's foundation. My top guys scoring consistently and my one of my cheap guys throwing in a score each week.

Wes Welker - The star of my team with Fitz. Only player on the team that has scored every week.

Brandon Lloyd - Only scored b=for me twice. Hopefully Bradford can make him more relevant again, quickly.

Jeremy Maclin - solid and decent scoring all season just wish he would throw in more touchdowns with his yards and catches.

Danny Amendola - Was playing well until...

Brian Hartline - Not spectacular but has scored 3 times for me.

Harry Douglas - I was sucked in by a good pre-season and thoughts of Ryan lighting things up. Only scored for me once and that was this week's 7.7.

Antonio Brown - scored twice so far. Hope his role expands some as the season moves forward.

Denarius Moore - Thought I had a steal, but he has disappeared.

Dexter McCluster - Thought I had a steal, but we realized he was not ready for prime time.

TE - I have had one stud, 2 guys that have scored once, and a rookie that hasn't done jack.

Owen Daniels - Glad to see you back in your pre-injury form.

Lance Kendricks - had been a bigger disappointed until he decided to score this week

Kyle Rudolph - Wasn't expecting much but was expecting the occasional game scoring above 9.

Evan Moore - scored week 1 and has been MIA since

K - It has been Akers (4 scores), Prater (0), Suisham (1), Lindell (1), Feely (0). Have had double digit scores every week so I guess they are average.

Def - All three teams have scored for me, Dallas (3), 49ers (2), Denver (1). Wish I would have spent $2 on Buffalo though.

Looks like 20 Kicker Guy got booted(punny!).

Low cut line got me through this week.

Thanks, Bernard Berrian!(*boggle*looks for fiery mountain hurtling through sky*boggle*) I guess you just earned your $5 dollars.

I'm out. My earliest exit from this contest ever. With Wells and Tolbert on byes and Hightower, Jacobs and James Harrision putting up zeros, my only RB this week was Felix Jones (4.3 points). Along with Schaub (my only QB this week with Rivers on a bye) coming up small I could only manage 84 points. Good luck everyone.
