I really wanted to have Vick, just couldn't get any depth with him. In the end I'll probably ditch JC too.

I'm sure I'll adjust a "few" more times, but right now I'm going mid-grade stud heavy with 21 players.

QB - $50 / 3 (working different theories here, there are a couple QBs I want but will probably only get one true target in the end)

RB - $76 / 5 (a couple targets, but I'm really uncertain about the top guys)

WR - $80 / 6 (a couple adjustments to come, but 4 of these guys are firm unless they get injured before the deadline)

TE - $25 / 2 (this is one area I plan to change but I like both of these guys)

PK - $8 / 3 (this is where my leftover $ goes, I want 3 but don't really care who they are)

TD - $11 / 2 (had 3 for awhile, but the nice thing about TD is there's no chance of losing it for the year)

TOTAL: 250 / 21

Right now only a few minor bye week issues. WR1 and 3 share a bye, as do two of my QBs. Otherwise it's looking good.

I wouldn't mind adding another TE and WR but I don't think it's absolutely necessary.

Whatever, there's money on the line. I think I have a pretty good line on how this contest runs, and (like most of us) think I am smarter than the average bear. Why share a sleeper that I love? That's LMAO stupid, if you think about it.

My main problem with this contest, is I tend to have a roster of heavily owned players, and while I tend to make it to week 10+ every year, lack of a singular roster makes it difficult to separate from the pack.

This year, tho, I like the shotgun approach at WR. The last two years, I felt the salaries got tougher, and I feel the same way at RB this year. Not too many obvious bargains. A few, but not many.

Thinking my strategy this year is two QBs (I expect these two to be among the most heavily owned, if not THE most heavily owned), just 5 or maybe even 4 RBs, and a bunch of WRs and TEs that can score on any given week.

Sometimes people forget that this is a best ball format, and what that means.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but if no one was interested in anyone else's rosters, they wouldn't be in this thread. Not everyone who does the contest reads the thread, and people who do tend to change their teams quite a bit, I would wager. I don't think people come in this thread to poach other teams rosters, but everyone is trying to put the best team together. If you have put your best possible combo together, why share it? Kind of....doesn't make sense at all, actually.I think there is almost a zero chance that some guy is going to win the whole thing because he read MY roster in August, but heck, why risk it? Slim chance? Of course. Hilarious? Perhaps we have a different definition.

Being that your best qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1flex, 1k, 1d score weekly, my problem in the past was not planning for bye weeks. I got knocked out in week 9 or 10 last year bc I had so many people on a bye. I was strong until that point. Lesson learned for 2011

That's not a bad strategy, actually, and he may have done it on purpose. The cut line is relatively low in week 5, so if you skate through that week (the vast majority of teams will) you'll be full strength every other week.

Your roster will likely change a lot between now and lock time. I will check bye weeks the day before lock, when a better picture of the final submission emerges.

Nice. I prefer 4 TEs and 4 PKs and a stud QB, so I'd cut some $ at RB to add a cheap TE and PK and upgrade one QB. Good team though and hit some of the likely popular guys.Also missed the 2 DEN QBs. Not sure I would do that because you lose advantage of having 3 QBs. Just spend the $ on two higher priced QBs.

Not feeling it here Donsmith. You are "all in" with the 3 RBs of Ingram, Matthews, and Wells. I am thinking Ingram is going way too high in drafts. People are forgetting that Pierre Thomas had a pretty decent year in 2009 and 2008. In addition, the whole thought process on Matthews/Tolbert in SD and then Wells/Williams in ARI seem very up in the air. IMO, there is a lot of risk here. Taking 1 or 2 okay, but all 3 of them... If you choose wrong, you're done early as Snelling and Hightower may not carry it if they are full RBBC splits.

Gibson is getting 1st-string time at WR in STL but isn't on there. Was pretty bummed about Briscoe not being on there.-QG
