***Official*** 2011 FBG Subscriber Contest Thread (1 Viewer)

can't imagine that game moved it too muchso you're saying there's a chance....
Sure seems unlikely that Dez, Jones, Hightower, Romo, Witten, and Moss got the cut into the 140s...but what the hell do I know.
Depending on what they were covering, the fact that there was only one TD is usually cut friendly. Jones is on 25% of all rosters tho, so that could have a pretty big impact.

Unofficial cut in the ffltools db is 142.70, that's the 8,500th team, not counting staff. Good luck all.
Going to miss the cut by .9 points.

Wow that's me. I have exactly 142.7 according to the website right now. Hope you are right.
This is the hard part about publishing these... if the stats are off by even a tackle from what FBG uses, then this number is off, so take it for what it's worth please.

Through with 181.25

Amazingly I've used only 2 players all 3 weeks - Brady and Santana Moss - oddly enough 2 guys that only got added to my roster at the very end.

I've used 7 guys twice, 10 guys once, and 8 guys not at all.

Encouraged by the balance, but I'm a bit nervous about week 5 since with Hernandez out I only have 1 TE (Daniels, who's been inconsistent). But here's hoping to get through week 4 before having such a problem!

Happiness is... checking the status of my subscriber team fulling preparing to be eliminated and making the cut. It's all chocked up to bad math and forgetting to add in my flex player. Never before have I been so happy to have been wrong in my calculations.

Week 3 Standings

Official cut is 142.0.

OC, you may want to double-check the defensive scoring. You have Oakland with 2 more points than the Turk does for my team 10 v. 8).
Thanks, I will do that. Last week I caught a 2 point diff and it was because a fumble stat changed throughout the game that my stats grabber didn't handle correctly.

I will look at what's off with OAK and fix it tonight.

Yup, looks like at some point in the game, Green was credited for a lost fumble, then it was removed. I just need to put in a check to remove those incorrect stats at the end of the night.

19-QB guy (Trying To Get By) is by far the worst team in the contest so far, although he is improving. After being the lowest scoring team in both weeks 1 and 2, he would only have been the 4th worst team this week with a respectable 81.85.

If the playoffs were held in weeks 1-3, these would be the top 5 finishers:

Looking for the likelihood these teams make it through to the final 250:108488 - Only 4 RB's & 6 WR's....vulnerable in week 8 with Rodgers & McFadden out, but if he makes it through that and the RB's stay healthy, he's a legit contender103802 - Week 11 poses serious danger with only 3 WR's active and a top TE out as well. Only reliable RB is McFadden.104368 - Solid depth at RB & WR with some good performers. Maybe a little trouble in week 7 with Brady & top 2 WR's out, but depth should carry him.105898 - Only 2 of QB,TE,PK,TD makes him more vulnerable during byes and if injuries. Week 5 he will take a zero at TE if Hernandez is out and other TE on bye, plus he has 2 of his top 3 RB's on bye. Week 7 is also trouble with Brady, McCoy, Welker & Hernandez out (plus a kicker). Should be smooth sailing after that (barring injuries, of course).101207 - Only 4 RB's and none are great. Heavily reliant on New England (Brady, Welker, both TE's & Defense). Highly likely to be eliminated week 7 with all of them on bye plus a RB, WR & PK. That week he has only 1 QB, TE, PK & TD and only 3 RBs & 4 WR's active.

He had the highest 3 game total of all the eliminated teams this week. But injuries destroyed him.

My lousy 128 knocks me out of the game.

Good luck everyone, I will be back with 28 players next year.... No, make that 18 players, no.... I think using all 30 is the way to go.

Surprised to see that I've had scores count for 22 of my 29 players already. The only guys who haven't hit paydirt for me yet are:

Deji Karim - was hoping he'd have more carries by now, hopefully by week 5 byes

Marion Barber - Bears need help running the ball, get well soon

Pierre Thomas - need the RBBC to swing in his favor

Lee Evans - get well soon

Harry Douglas - not a big piece of their passing game yet this season

Lance Kendricks - bought the hype, but only my TE 3

Jay Feely - he'll hit for me eventually

STL Rams - ditto

Anyone know which team has had the most players count towards scoring thru week 3?

On to week 4...

Through Week 3, and only 3 players have scored for me every week:

Tom Brady

Jimmy Graham

Neil Rackers

But 8 have not counted at all (24 man roster):

Matt Stafford

Mario Manningham (really wish I could switch him out for Stevie Johnson now for the same $19)

Andre Roberts

Jordan Shipley

Lance Kendricks (TE 3)

Dan Carpenter

Jay Feely

Cardinals

Squeaked by with a 147. My combo of Rivers/Ryan didn't do me any favors this week and having Hillis out hurt.

McFadden is my only player that has scored for me in all three weeks

My 2 week guys are:

M. Ryan

Tate

Fitzgerald

V. Jackson

D. Moore

Hernandez

E. Moore

O. Mare

Through 3 weeks, only McFadden has counted for my score every week.

27-man roster, 8 of whom have not scored enough to count in any week so far:

RB - Michael Bush

RB - Ronnie Brown

RB - Jerome Harrison

WR - Andre Roberts

WR - Earl Bennett

TE - Lance Kendricks

K - Matt Prater

DEF - Miami

Got by with 153.70... Noticed the 49ers defense only had 3 points on the live scoring site but had 7 official points.

My 3 week scorers:

Stafford (value)

Tate (value)

Wallace (value)

Marshall

Lindell

3 week Duds:

Colt McCoy (still a nice value for $10)

Jerome Harrison

LSH

Redman

Manningham (huge bust thus far)

Jacoby Ford

Steve Smith (PHI)

Matt Bryant

I'm a 2QB guy, but I'm not sure these stats will tell us much before the bye weeks start.
I agree. None of this means much until the end. Including choices like manningham instead of Decker and moore which was one of my last tweaks. For all we know, those apparent busts which we survive with will come up big in the final weeks.

Managed to bump into the high 150's and advance. (Thanks, Tim Hightower.)

Only have two 3-week scorers thus far: Matt Forte and, of all people, Mike Nugent. Have had a third be close(Tate).

By and large my studs have been less than studly so far and I'm thinking that needs to change post-haste if I want to make any kind of noise later. My fliers have picked me up so far, but I doubt they can be relied upon for the whole year. That Hernandez injury is going to hurt the next couple of weeks too.

This is great analysis. I'd love to see stats like this for ALL positions, and to see it updated weekly.

188.70. I've only had 3 players count all 3 weeks (Henery, Wallace, Jennings). I've had everyone count at least once except Crabtree and Bryant. Just an 18 man roster though.

Bored at work and decided to put together a Super Team as of today, it would be a 30 man roster:

QB:

Stafford $18

Fitzpatrick $13

Newton $14

RB:

McCoy $34

McFadden $28

F. Jackson $21

Tate $3

Redman $2

Powell $3

WR:

Wallace $23

S. Johnson $19

D. Moore $3

Brown $3

McCluster $2

Nelson $7

Decker $6

Young $4

Nelson $4

Washington $5

TE:

Gronkowski $14

F. Davis $5

E. Moore $2

PK:

Lindell $2

Mare $2

Feely $2

Dawson $2

DEF:

Broncos $2

Bills $2

Jaguars $2

Redskins $3

--------------------------------------------------------

Here is a team I put together for an 18 team roster

Brady $27

Stafford $18

McCoy $34

McFadden $28

F. Jackson $21

Tate $3

Wallace $23

Welker $23

Washington $5

D. Moore $2

L. Moore $10

D. Nelson $4

Finley $22

Gronkowski $14

Janikowski $4

Hanson $4

49ers $4

Titans $4

I think I would rather go with a 30 man roster in this format going forward especially with all the injuries and bye weeks that would loom ahead. What would your dream team look like today? (18-30 roster and $250 limits)

Made it another week at 160.25.

I've had four players count each week (Brady, Calvin, Santana Moss, and Reggie Bush. :bag: )

Note: Please come back soon SJax and Beanie. I need you!!!

Missed cut by 2.8. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. Thought I had a decent team this year too. Wasted too much cash on the Rams players it seems. The late Colt to Bradford switch could have keyed it all.

30 man roster here.

Only Brady and Graham have counted all three weeks.

Players not used: Stafford (have Brady), Harrison, Karim, Howling, Ward, Barber, Douglas, Crayton, Kendricks, Feeley.

Yikes! :excited: I SQUEAKED by with 142.40 this week. Ranked 8469 of 8502 survivors.

I narrowly survived Hillis' bout of Madden Fever. Better days ahead, hopefully.

I need Beanie Wells back, healthy, and productive in Week 5.

I have a 26 team roster that was without Beanie Wells, Manningham, Lee Evans, Amendola, Earl Bennett, and Aaron Hernandez. I also roster Berrian who is like being without a player.

I ended up getting points from only two WR's(Stevie Johnson and D Moore) and got a zero from my third WR spot. Also only got 9.8 points from flex but managed to live another week. If I can make it to week 5 things don't look for that week and I will take a bit of miracle to get past week 7 if I'm still around by than.

The last 3 years I've done this contest I've won it, made the final 150, and got eliminated in the final qualifying week 13. I do believe this will by far be the earliest knockout I've ever been dealt.

So far this year I've failed to use:

Helu

Karim

Evans

Berrian

Bennett

Evan Moore

Lance Kendricks

Browns D

Stevie Johnson and Gronkowski are only two players I've used all 3 weeks.

I have 3 QB's: Eli, Henne and Rivers and have used each one week.

195 this past week which was nice. Ive had only 2 guys count for me each week- Stafford and Wallace. Meanwhile, Ive had 13 players not count for me in any week yet (Kolb, P Thomas, Harrison, Hardesty, Barber, Stephens-Howling, Manningham, Amendola, Antonio Brown, Kendricks, Kyle Rudolph, Tamme and Matt Bryant)
