**Official 2014 MLB Regular Season-All over but the shouting (1 Viewer)

There's gotta be a better option than Tommy Hunter to close a game.
Take a look around baseball, the majority of closers are having issues. Kenley Jansen might have the best stuff of any closer and he's blown two saves and has a WHIP over 2. Hunter has very good stuff and had a great year last year, he's definitely their best option.

If Hunter can hold his own against lefties, he can keep the role.

i heard jansen's problem might be hes throwing harder than usual and the ball isnt cutting as much. Crazy

Trout is the best player in the history of the game, except when I have money on the Angels.

Then... he hits into a routine double-play on the first pitch.

I haven't checked his velocity from a year ago, but he's throwing those 93 mph cutters. I think location is his issue, he left that ball up to VMart the other night and a hitter like that can use his velocity against him. He was money vs Cabrera, everything 98 riding in on the hands. Not many pitchers can over-match Cabrera, Jansen did that night.

Holland also looks like crap. My elite closer plan to limit inconsistencies and ensure stability has pretty much failed thus far.

Is it just me or are all teams shifting like crazy now? Yanks do it a ton now. And its not just for a few batters, its all batters including righties. Gotta love new age baseball!
Brandon Moss successfully bunted for a single against the shift last week.

The artist formerly known as @LoMoMarlins left tonight's game with a hamstring injury. You can probably drop him in your 16 team AL-only league now.

Cuddyer hit the wall really hard going for a flyball, and has some sort of elbow injury. He was squeezing his hand but was in obvious pain, that sux0r really bad. :(

Hope it's nothing too serious.

So, looking at accuweather...gotta be no baseball tonight in New York, probably Philly too, and maybe Baltimore. Looks like the system could be out of Baltimore and maybe Philly in time to start the game in the 8 or 9 o clock range, but then they're starting a game late on a weekday night in awful conditions - 40, very windy, and still some rain. Financially, probably better off cancelling, rescheduling, and hoping for better weather then. Attendance can't be looking good tonight.

Any locals got any extra info?
