This has got to be one of the better games to watch on-site from a non-playing country perspective. Both fan bases are known to be fun to watch and party with...

Considering the missed opportunities I remember wistfully from little league, intramural football and softball, even the half-dozen games of soccer I played, I don't know how these guys let go of misses like Bresciano's there. Gotta put that on goal.

And it begins - and equalized within a minute
Cahill: http://gfycat.com/SameTanAldabratortoise
I'm late to the party and just getting caught up. Are we calling both of these better than RVP's superman goal in game 1?
I'm not... but I will not argue with anyone about the Cahill one.
Robben's? No way.

Cahill... very strong argument for yes. I say yes, as that is harder to do than RVP's

Wouldn't mind seeing the socceroos hop their way in to history here.

This is going to be unpopular, but I think we need to sit Deuce and anyone else that was injured in the last game. Klinsmann spent the last 3 years broadening the player pool for a game just like this. The field was kinda crappy in the Italy-England game, plus it will be hot and humid. This game sets up well to run the other side off the pitch, but that means we can't risk starting players that might need to be removed due to injury. Start the fittest players and play route 1 football all day.

Nope. Rest against Germany, assuming a win against Portugal. Best chance to pick up points is Sunday, don't waste that opportunity looking ahead.

BPA, IMO, but I still like your thinking.

We just need to get points now.

Reality is... they'll need to play like their lives depend on it in both games.

Not if we can squeeze out a win against Portugal (and Germany does not lose to Ghana).

In that case, I would rest anyone sitting on a card, or with a nagging injury, against Germany.
