Official 2015 Cowboys Thread- 4-12. We won the 4th pick! (1 Viewer)

You can really tell who the losers in life really are when they show up to a team specific thread late in the year when you've never even seen their name once.
Uh-oh, somebody needs a hug.

First off, it is a public forum, so suck it. Go start your own "How 'bout Dem Cowboys" blog if seeking kind compliments for your glass-jawed QB and his merry band of misfits.

At least you've still got the prettiest cheerleaders and the prettiest stadium… that and your '95 Champ Season VHS tape should get you through until Jerry Jones passes and takes that dark cloud with him.

Those jokes are older then the Cowboys Super Bowls .

Not to worry. We're not all as bad as Mobbin. You're welcome here (and, frankly, anyone with an EVH profile pic is aces in my book).

I'm still struggling to understand why Romo has not yet been placed on IR. Anyone heard what's going on with this? It only benefits the team by clearing a roster spot. So, it makes no sense why that hasn't happened yet.

Perhaps a game of chess Jerry was playing. Hoping the Browns were going to cut Manziel so he could fill the roster spot.

Your definition of chess differs from my own. That would seem more on the level of Chutes and Ladders.

(Rotoworld)Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones expectsTony Romo to remain the team's starter 4-5 more years.

Analysis: "I think if you look at his playing time, if you look at the years he has actually played, he started late," ol' Jer rationalized. "He really has excellent skill relative to where his skill-set began, what his skill-set is. He's got the relative skills. More important to anything, from a mental standpoint, and from the things that also mean so much at quarterback, he's at the top of the list. So I think four to five years." There is some sense somewhere inside that statement, but it completely ignores the fact that Romo continues to show signs of breakdown as he goes on 36. The Cowboys should definitely be planning for the future this offseason. Realistically, Romo might have 1-2 more elite years left.

That actually makes perfect sense in Jerry's world. Good one.

The Dallas paper reported the Cowboys will not put Romo on IR until they have been mathematically eliminated from making the playoffs.

If Romo's current collar bone heals in eight weeks that would be the week of the NFC Championship game (Jan 24th).

So Dallas would have to win their final five games to finish 8-8 and win the division and then win two playoff games just to get to the NFC Championship game.

Man you can't make this stuff up.

Sounds crazy, but who knows... they could be a 7-9 division champ with a home play-off game... maybe the opponent is Bears/Falcons???

Anything could happen I guess.

I came in here to be the first Eagle's fan to post the proverbial obnoxious post of "I hope your team wins tonight so my team can be tied for first".

Seriously, where to you guys think the Cowboys are mentally for tonight's game? Do you think Garrett gets them to play hard, or do you think they just go through the motions? I find it hard to imagine that they would just mail it in as they are only a game out with a win tonight.

Whoever wins the NFC East can look forward to getting #####-slapped at home against the Seahawks.

Or a winnable game against Minnesota. Depends on who gets the 5 seed. NFC East will definitely be the 4.

The Vikings have the Cardinals and the Packers on the road, Bears and Giants at home. 2-2 at best. The Seahawks are at Ravens and Cardinals and have Cleveland and the Rams at home. The Cardinal game is the last game of the season so they will likely have locked up a first round bye by then and will have nothing to play for. Likely 3-1, possibly 4-0. Seattle has the tiebreaker. Minnesota, too me, is a little bit of a paper tiger. I really expect the Seahawks to be the number 5 seed.

Nobody gave the Seahawks a chance when they hosted the Saints a few years ago. Things happen.

Dallas will come to play and play hard. They are just without an All Pro QB who makes it all go on Offense.

Yeah, Seattle is the one team no one wants to play right now.

It would most likely be Seattle. So there's that.

Is anyone on talk radio in Dallas calling for Garrett's job?

Hell....I don't even live near Dallas and can tell you that many want him gone. The constant clapping and all has become a major annoyance.

-Score a TD. Clap clap clap

-Miss an assignment. Clap clap clap

-Throw a pick 6. Clap clap clap

Wtf is wrong with you losers? We're only a game out of first place and we currently hold all the tiebreakers. Super Bowl 50 baby!!!!

noooo i want a top 3 draft pick!!!!

if we win the divion, we lose 1st round of the playoffs in an embarassing fasion, then get our normal draft slot around 16-20

Actually NFC East winner will probably get 20 or 21 depending on AFC south division winners record.

Unless it's 21. Then no. That is 1 higher than the range since 21-20= 1

Stop it. Everyone calm down. Cowboys are not winning the division with Matt Cassel at QB.

Period.

Last night's win, while painful and enjoyable at the same time, actually hurts the team down the road. Let's not be deluded by the math...we're not solving an equation or a proof here. This team, as currently constructed, has no actual, tangible chance of winning the division title. Anyone who has watched our starting QB actually throw the ball knows this.

Pick 21 is the highest pick a playoff qualifying team can get.

We literally have no shot.
Cassel is so bad. Not horrifically bad, but just awful enough, just average enough to barely lose every week. Such a shame.

I don't have any delusions of playoffs. Unless they're gonna win em all, I want to lose them all except for the Jan 2 game vs the Skins.

I want to see a QB brought in and a HEAVY investment into RB; Draft picks and FAs.

I'll take Lamar Miller please and thanks.

i would be happy if we lose out.. draft a QB to study behind romo, clearly something we need if he goes down, and adventually we will have to replace him.

also wouldnt mind seeing another WR to come in to take more advantage of dez's pressence.(probably second or third round)

i like Steadymobbin 22's idea of grabbing miller if he hits FA

We are not beating GB. Jets game will also be tough to win I think.

Should beat Buffalo and Washington.

But I can also see us going 0-4

I agreee with the consensus and would rather go 0-4 at this point !

Question-- To anyone's knowledge has Skip Bayless actually fellated Jerry Jones, or is that just a rumor based upon what he would so obviously like to do?

Of the teams amidst the Cowboys in draft order, only Cleveland needs a QB. Do you think the boys draft Romo's successor there?

The O-line has been nowhere near as dominant as expected. Is it worth it to trade a player or two(due to depth) this offseason?

Not sure what games you're watching. Cassel is the very definition of horrifically bad. Not "average enough." He's horrifically bad.

Horrifically BAD !!! I dont get why we couldnt see Moore at all yesterday. Anyone notice that McCarron had a nice stat line as a backup.

On the flip side Lamar Miller looked good last night.....Would look even nicer with a star on his helmet !

Crazy that they stopped using him in the second half. Very nice of Miami trying to keep him fresh for his new tame next year.
