My team is a dumpster fire right now, so since misery loves company, how are you guys doing?

Do you think the Cowboys lose the next 3 (NE, @NYG, Sea)? I had predicted initially that the Cowboys could go .500 without Dez and Romo because their Oline and defense would be good enough to keep them going, but after Sunday's lose I am not so sure. 2-5 looks like a very strong possibility.

"We done" is our QB. My GF asked me what I wanted for my Bday and I told her a healthy Romo.

The D will be better soon with Hardy, Gregory and Lee back. QB and WR position is awful

Yeah I'm worried that could get ugly quick. The line I saw had pats -10 and I can't see any reason why they don't cover unless th cowboys pickup garbage points late. This sucks, the season had/has such promise but we really need to right the ship and stay afloat.

I don't see it man. I think 5 wide caters to inexperienced qb like Weeden. He can make quick reads and use simple routes like slants/seams etc.

Secondary has been good, the corners are finally playing up to their potential.

Linebackers have been good when Lee is on the field. The problem is him getting hurt. Julio started getting in rhythm in the second half when Sean left to go get his lip stitched. I think we win the New Orleans game is Sean doesn't leave with injury, we couldn't get set when Brees went no huddle without him. If Lee can stay in the game and with McClain back we might have one of the best linebacker groups in the league.

Or problem has been our defencesive line. We haven't been getting pressure on the QB. Even when our cornerbacks are playing good you can't expect them to cover Julio while he runs completely across the field because Ryan isn't rushed. Randy Gregory has been out and Mincy too. We need Hardy to change that. Even just the extra guy will help the rotation not to get gassed in the second half.

I'll add that they generally tire out due our offense being pretty meh....they have moments, but weeden/randle/Williams ain't scaring any defenses.....a defenses best friend is an offense that can sustain drives.

Did anyone hear anything about CMike's benching after his good run? Heard he turned to the coaches and kinda threw his arms up after his run and was pulled for that. i didn't see that though.

Oof...so hard to watch this offense. I don't know if they've dumbed down the play-calling for Weeden or not, but after 3 starts, I think we know what we have with this guy and it's not "it". Cassel probably isn't the answer either -- Williams, Beasley, Street and Lucky are pretty awful -- but I doubt it can get any worse. Have to make a change there.

I haven't been really impressed with the O-line play for all their hype and talent. But, maybe it's just the pathetic predictability of this horrible offense. Mcfadden blowing his last opportunity.

At least it was fun to catch a glimpse of what this defense could really be. Jones looked good in the slot. Excellent pass-rush -- at least in the first half. Add Gregory to the mix and they could really do some damage. And McClain just looked happy to be back on the field. Still no turnovers. Some crazy bounces that aren't going their way but it's unreal to go from 2nd in the league in TO's last year and almost none so far this season.

We'll see if Garrett can hold these guys together.

Totally agree with this. Although, I wish we wouldnt have spent that draft pick on Cassel with no intent on anything more than a backup role.

Going with Moore, cant possibly be any worse than Weeden. Like mentioned above, I dont know if Linehan has simplified the offense to the point of looking like a HS team.

The WR play is really that bad, Street and Whitehead are terrible,

Or maybe they really have no faith in Weeden and if that's the case, get him out of there.

But anyway you look at it, the offense is really is getting hard to watch at times.

I agree, but after watching the Giants last week, I am anticipating that our defense can do more than enough to pull out a win.

well, good luck with it. It seems many are backing Hardy for this one, and i think comparing Dez to Hardy is quite premature considering this is Hardy's 2nd game with the Cowboys (3rd maybe?). and of course there is plenty of this:

All of which were a known quantity when they signed him. How many "issues" did Dez have in the first 3 years? Even culminating in a bogus blow-up in some Wal-mart parking lot? I say we save our outrage for when he actually does something that deserves it.

well, good luck with it. It seems many are backing Hardy for this one, and i think comparing Dez to Hardy is quite premature considering this is Hardy's 2nd game with the Cowboys (3rd maybe?). and of course there is plenty of this:

Hardy missed a ton of practices while at Ole Miss, leading him to being a 2010 sixth-round pick, and was also the "far and away leader" of missed practices while with the Panthers. His talent has let him skate by to this point, and this has only made the news because of Hardy's sideline blowup with Dez Bryant on Sunday. Hardy has made an on-field impact through two games with his new team, and Dallas will simply continue to put up with it as long as Hardy produces.

All of which were a known quantity when they signed him. How many "issues" did Dez have in the first 3 years? Even culminating in a bogus blow-up in some Wal-mart parking lot? I say we save our outrage for when he actually does something that deserves it.

I hope you are right, cause this guy has a TON of talent that we could really use. I hope that his sideline antics were just a by-product of what was happening on the field play on this given Sunday.

I dont like the "No Comment" attitude with the media, and yes, they may have taken anything he said and ran with it in a negative spin. But I just think that made it possibly look worse than it could have been.

I also hope that when Jerry decides to give him a rediculous contract in the offseason, he puts in some kind of morality clauses. Lets face it, whats going to happen once he has his $$.

With the limited number of seasons Romo has left, you definitely pick playoffs. 4 of the last 8 Super Bowl winners played in a wildcard game. They just got hot at the right time. With Romo and Dez, the Cowboys definitely have the ability to get hot at the right time.

IF we can win one or two games and IF Tony is actually healthy enough to play and if Dez is actually healthy enough to play and if neither gets hurt form rushing back and neither is rusty then maybe we can make a run

I'd love to see thme make a run, but it seems unlkikley. What seems evident is from the moment Romo and Dez went down Jerry was pushing hard for them to be back on the field the moment they are cleared because this is the magic season. It doesn't seem magic, and I don;t want to jeopardize the health of our two main weapons. Maybe there's no risk, I am not sure. What I am sure about is I don;t trust that Jerry is thinking clearly on this.

I do. In those first two games Tony was playing (reading defenses) better than I've EVER seen before. I don't think anyone can argue that their defense isn't better. The OL hasn't changed. What part of the team hasn't got better? And before you say running back I think the jury is still out on whether it was the RB or the OL last year; you need a QB under center that keeps teams from just putting 9+ in the box. Weeden couldn't do that and you saw what McFadden did with Cassel. With Tony under center I don't think it matters.
