The bolded speaks volumes. That's a despicable statement, especially in the context of this discussion. You are condoning her getting beaten up, bruises everywhere, because "women are crazy." Not only is that so unbelievably cringe-worthy that you'd think it, let alone actually type that thought out, it illustrates how much you are every bit the problem Hardy is. Every bit.All I am saying is I'm annoyed at the out rage at this late stage of affairs. It's true that I don't know what happened that night. It's also true that women are crazy as ####. I I believe by all accounts that Greg Hardy is a really weird dude and likely has some issues. The law had a chance and the NFL suspended him, albeit much of it with pay. I'm just not going to go nuts over it at this point is all I'm saying. The chance to complain and ##### and moan was in the summer.No. If you stopped with all the false pretense of "Well, I don't know if he did it, I'm not going to let one news report ruin my day" BS, that would be a swell start.Lol, what? When did I say it was OK to beat women? I've bought exactly two Cowboys items over the past 3 years, a winter hat and s shirt. Maybe I can't find my receipt. Would you like me to return my two-year-old hat, Bud White? Will that prove that I don't think it's OK for men to beat on women?I called the Cowboys to cancel my season tickets. Figured Jerry wouldn't take my call because, like you, he doesn't give two ####s about men outright abusing women. I'm so pissed, especially at people like you who are the actual ones who have lost perspective or, worse, think all this is just fine as long as they don't get caught and can help the team. Also, it's not JUST a random article that popped up. Those are vivid pictures of a real human being who got beat the #### up by Greg Hardy. Not by someone else. Not photoshopped. Those are picture of Nicole Holder who got beat up by Greg Hardy.
The worst fans in the world do exactly what you just did right there, mobbin. Speaks every bit to your lack of perspective as a football fan, as it does as a human being.Let me know when you get off your high horse and tell me that you've written Jerry Jones and your congressman you hypocritical Jack ###.
I don't have a lot of control on who the Cowboys have on the roster, otherwise I'd be starting CMIKE.
It seems you've lost your perspective.
I imagine that hush money was a big chunk of change.Wonder how much he paid her to get off. If it makes Cowboys fans feel better, a large percentage of his pay went to her.
JUST STOP
Is there not a Greg Hardy thread for you guys to go pollute? Oh the outrage because you guys just saw the photos. You guys are clueless, your outrage is over a year late.
All due respect, I was outraged before when we first heard the story. I was mortified that the Cowboys would sign this guy and further infuriated over the idea he might get an extension. Then the pictures came out, Holder bruised up everywhere, clearly the victim of the very vicious assault described in the court of law that found Hardy guilty of inflicting this punishment. I had not seen the pictures until today and they are terrifying. No less mortified, terrified, outraged than I was day one...its just contextualized and made vividly real this is a defenseless human being he beat up.JUST STOP

that is not necessarily true. Dallas is known as the last stop. They are way more willing to sign low character players than any other team in the league. If Dallas wouldn't have signed him, some other team would have. No doubt
And therefore...?If Dallas wouldn't have signed him, some other team would have. No doubt
i always wonder about responses like this. So, because the Cowboys are soulless and don't give a #### about any kind of ethical or moral standing, i need to call my phone company and do a bunch of work just cause the Cowboys are pieces of ####? how about the cowboys at least bend to some of this pressure, and at least stop coming out and publicly defending Hardy over and over?If the outraged people want to do anything rather than just posture on a fantasy football forum, then hit the Cowboys where it hurts: their sponsors, such as AT&T, Ford, etc.
How is #####ing about it here going to change things? Hit the offending party where it hurts. Gay’s mother was shot and killed by his stepfather when Gay was seven years old, which makes his personal relationship to the issue a particularly close one...
I think it's because one camp is outraged, whereas another camp seems indifferent or hasn't seen the pictures, or still clings to the belief that it wasn't Hardy who beat her up, or believes "women are crazy." Personally, I do believe people's minds can change through dialogue and confronting their established beliefs. Perhaps folks like steadymobbin will reconsider their opinions of women, of men who beat women, of teams who employ/reward men who beat women. Or maybe he, and others like him, will at least reconsider how they communicate what they think and recognize a discussion about a player who beat up a woman is probably not the best time to describe women--as if to generalize all women--as "crazy" and deserving abuse. My pop is a PSL season ticket holder with the Panthers, and he gets his tickets in the mail before the season starts. Do you not have possession of all of your tickets for this season since you are a season ticket holder?I called a buddy who co-owns the seats with me, and we agreed to release them. Had a pleasant, but forceful discussion with the ticket office, letting them know why we were cancelling, and that was that.
Trip report please.Cowboys suck. I am going to be staying at the same hotel the Boyz stay at tonight and will be pulling fire alarms every hour on the hour starting at midnight. Childish you say? I say great strategy
I commend you sir. No one expects Cowboy fans to stop being Cowboy fans. But to hear so many of them act like they don't care that their team's owner is talking this thug up like he's a leader and a great guy is just sickening. Any other team in the league would have fined and suspended a player who attacked a coach and teammate the way Hardy did a few, weeks ago. Jones' desperation to win again has totally made him lose any morals or ethics he may have once had. And most of their fan base is the same way.Trip report please. I've been a Cowboys fan since I was 5. When they were rumored to be interested in Peterson I was really disappointed. When they signed Hardy, I was equally disappointed. When I saw the pictures yesterday, I was disgusted. After reading Jerry's statement, I am pissed.Cowboys suck. It's unfathomable that he would continue to act like this is no big deal. When all you have is a differing opinion on what happened and then a settlement makes the case go away, it's easy to think that it might not have been that bad. When you see the pictures and realize that he beat the living #### out of her, that's no longer possible.
Not really sure where to go from here as a fan of the team and many of the players, but I do know that I'm not really interested in watching the game tomorrow.
The Cowboys appear to have concluded that the benefits of adding Hardy outweigh the risks. The other reason is to generate some momentum in doing exactly what you described and talking with our pocketbooks, along with our keyboards. I cancelled my season tickets yesterday. Been a long-time fan and fortunate enough to own those seats since the old Texas Stadium. I wish I had the presence of mind to cancel them when the team signed Hardy in the first place. But, I'll admit, I was unaware of the gravity of what he had done (or resolved my cognitive dissonance by not paying close enough attention) until yesterday and seeing the pictures. But, at the point those pictures came out, I called a buddy who co-owns the seats with me, and we agreed to release them. Had a pleasant, but forceful discussion with the ticket office, letting them know why we were cancelling, and that was that. More can, and I feel should try, to do the same, as you suggested. But, any vehicle to get this discussion out in the open, help shape opinions and sensibilities of those who enable this sort of behavior, whether at home or with the teams they root for, should be encouraged, not discouraged.
it's funny because i hate the Cowboys with a passion, but totally feel you here. When the Eagles picked up Vick i was feeling the same way, and definitely was less interested while he was here. So if i get this correct, beating and threatening women is just the way things are for this team from owner down to the players, but God forbid a player has a mental health issue like Randle because all he deserves a call from someone on the Cowboys staff to tell him to not come back to the facility. I love the Jerry says he has never seen the photos before. Truly sickening human beings, and the fact that they keep digging this hole deeper and deeper is truly epic. I would just love to know where Jerry would draw the line with players who can contribute on the field. we know most offenses like drug trafficking, etc. don't mean ####. Maybe kiddie porn is where the Cowboys would actually suggest this is not something they encourage or turn a blind eye too?
One of the things the victim said was "I know nothing with happen to him..." She's been proven mostly right. Not only is he not in jail where he belongs, but he's earning $10 million or whatever it is and being celebrated by fans every time he makes a sack or an interception. The price she paid is a lifetime of trauma. The price he paid is a 4 game suspension. This sends a terrible message to others in her situation. What is changed in the world by Hardy being employed vs unemployed?JUST STOP
Is there not a Greg Hardy thread for you guys to go pollute? Oh the outrage because you guys just saw the photos. You guys are clueless, your outrage is over a year late.i guess a good chunk of you guys are all the same. Nice to see Jerry coming out with another statement to support Hardy: http://deadspin.com/cowboys-owner-jerry-jones-releases-statement-supporting-1741123627
My guess is she was afraid of catching a bullet too.Not condoning his actions, but the victim disappeared with a wad of cash when it was time for his trial. Dude is crazy. He's got it in his head that I think it's OK for hi to beat women. For example, because I said some woman are crazy, he overthought it and thinks I said she deserved to get beat because she's crazy. Reality is I have no idea if Hardy beat her or if she threw herself all over the place. Just because I'm not launching personal crusade against Hardy and the Fsllas Cowboys, I'm part of the problem and what's wrong with the world today.Wow just wow. Where do you come up with this stuff? You don't know me. You don't know my history. The Cowboys spin team is doing its best to resolve the cognitive dissonance for many of us who root for laundry but are disgusted by the man wearing 76. Others on this thread who look the other way or condone violence toward women or use awful, disgusting rationale that "women are crazy" and sometimes deserve a good beat down...these are people who should be exposed for what they really are. You sound like one of them, so I am glad to know now where you stand, as it invalidates pretty much anything else you have to say, and you can be the target of society to help educate around those Neanderthal views you and mobbin support. Failure to do so is enabling the enablers that perpetuate violence toward women.JUST STOP

I knew other teams were interested. The Cowboys appear to have concluded that the benefits of adding Hardy outweigh the risks. And they’re not the only ones. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/17/greg-hardy-plans-to-visit-the-seahawks/Link?that is not necessarily true. Dallas is known as the last stop. They are way more willing to sign low character players than any other team in the league. If Dallas wouldn't have signed him, some other team would have. No doubt
At least six teams reportedly have shown interest in Hardy. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12474789/greg-hardy-talks-unnamed-team-says-agent-drew-rosenhaus
Tweeted Jordan Schultz of the Huffington Post and NBC Radio late Thursday: “Hearing Greg Hardy in discussions with Raiders. I would say 60-40 he gets a deal with Oakland.” Later, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Wilkening wrote that he, too, had confirmed the two sides were negotiating. http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/sports/Raiders-Have-Had-Talks-With-Greg-Hardy-296209671.html
So, let's consider this "threw herself all over the place" theory, since you've now mentioned this several times. Let's pause and reflect on this for a second...Dude is crazy. Not to mention, it is not uncommon for trauma survivors to go to great lengths to avoid situations that would trigger memories of the trauma. He was convicted, then they settled during the appeal process. Who are you to judge how she deals with his abuse? Would you rather have him in jail for 90 days or enough money to afford the treatment that will surely be needed after being involved with a guy like that? Not condoning his actions, but the victim disappeared with a wad of cash when it was time for his trial. One of the things the victim said was "I know nothing with happen to him..." One actually went so far as to say they still don't know if he's guilty because she may have 'thrown herself around' to get all those scrapes and bruises. Bwahahaha. Now THAT'S a blind homer.I think its pretty obvious, only people invested in Hardy (Cowboy fans, IDP owners) are going to defend him.
How can a person of sound body and mind defend a guy who was convicted by a judge much smarter than anyone here on laws and this case and then see the photo evidence on which he was convicted and still defend him? The above is the only reason, and even if they are vested I have to feel they are ashamed of themselves for defending such a proven vile person.
The people defending Hardy can not be defending him, because they would be embarrassing. They have to be defending him because they are fans desperate for some wins so they will even take this abusive person on their team and defend him.
Me not buying a phone means nothing to AT&T.How is #####ing about it here going to change things? Hit the offending party where it hurts. If a person can't be bothered to take precious time out of their oh so busy day, then moaning about it on a forum is for show only as far as I'm concerned.i always wonder about responses like this. So, because the Cowboys are soulless and don't give a #### about any kind of ethical or moral standing, i need to call my phone company and do a bunch of work just cause the Cowboys are pieces of ####? how about the cowboys at least bend to some of this pressure, and at least stop coming out and publicly defending Hardy over and over?If the outraged people want to do anything rather than just posture on a fantasy football forum, then hit the Cowboys where it hurts: their sponsors, such as AT&T, Ford, etc.
and the NFL does not go uscathed with this. i don't know what they should do with this mess, but i think they need to absolutely stop these kind of things:

Gay’s mother was shot and killed by his stepfather when Gay was seven years old, which makes his personal relationship to the issue a particularly close one...
