What do you expect from a fan? Eagle fans think McCoy is going to regress. Buffalo fans think that they solved their running back problems. Eagle fans think Demarco Murray is awesome. Cowboy fans think he was used too much, is injury prone, and can't outrun my grandmother. All your teams moves are good. All other team moves are bad. This is what fans do in the off-season. It's only when the regular season rolls around and McCoy goes for 2,000 yards and Murray breaks his leg in the opener that maybe fans admit their team didn't do so great in free agency. Or maybe they don't.

playing devil's advocate here and I am genuinely curious about this... denver use to crank out 1000 yard rushers picking up guys off the street and putting them behind the phat o-line. after TDavis there were I think three guys who hit the lottery there to prove they couldn't run to save their life elsewhere. Murray, coming off an awesome season, had an o-line that is as close to that denver o-line of the late 90s into the millenial as i've seen since. does he really fit the bill of a stud rb potentially playing behind this o-line that looked not so good? is this because mccoy wore out his welcome last year more so than murray's prospects that you guys like this over keeping mccoy?

The move I really felt for sure is a mistake is letting Maclin go. If there are durability things we don't know about that the Eagles have concerns about, fine. But if it's just dollars, then I disagree with it. That contract is gonna look like a bargain within a year. The cap is going up 20 mill the next two years, and Maclin will be making WR2 numbers.

Regular season. And to add, Murray has exactly 450 touches last season.

Ladainian Tomlinson in 2002 had 451 touches. The next season he rushed for 1645 yards-13 TDs and had 100 receptions.

Chris Johnson in 2009 had 408 touches. The next season he rushed for 1364 yards-11 touchdowns and had 44 receptions. He was the last RB in the NFL to hit 400 touches. By the way, after he had 408 touches he eclipsed 1000 yards in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and only missed 1 game in those years. The narrative you're trying to write doesn't exist. There are multiple RBs who have had good seasons after 400+ touches. Age isn't a factor either.

playing devil's advocate here and I am genuinely curious about this... denver use to crank out 1000 yard rushers picking up guys off the street and putting them behind the phat o-line. after TDavis there were I think three guys who hit the lottery there to prove they couldn't run to save their life elsewhere. Murray, coming off an awesome season, had an o-line that is as close to that denver o-line of the late 90s into the millenial as i've seen since. does he really fit the bill of a stud rb potentially playing behind this o-line that looked not so good? is this because mccoy wore out his welcome last year more so than murray's prospects that you guys like this over keeping mccoy?

Yes I think that the latter point is somewhat correct. It seemed pretty clear that chip did not want McCoy.
