*Official 2015 Philadelphia Eagles* - Winning when it doesnt count (3 Viewers)

Well, at least the question of "Just imagine what will happen when Chip Kelly get his own players in here" has been answered....
Yeah, this guy is looking like such a fraud right about now.

Wasted a lot of draft picks on Pac-12 guys who aren't worth what he paid for them (Barkley, Ertz, Agholor, Huff).

Bradford, Murray, and Mathews moves look horrendous at the moment.

So is Kiko done for the year, I didn't see the play. Bradford sucks, maybe there is a chance it takes time after not playing for 2 years? Did we just sing Nnamdi Assomugha again?

Division looks super weak so we aren't done, will see what Chip is made of.

I know it's just 2 games but that was one of the most painful things I have ever forced myself to watch. I don't see how they get better on offense. It's a shame cause the defense is decent but cmon it's not great either

I'm not quite ready to start woulda/coulda/shoulda Chip and his personnel decisions. I do think he needs to take his foot off the gas a good bit in regards to the speed of his play calling....... particularly early in the game. While I understand it...and marvel at it when its working....his team right now doesn't seem comfortable with it.

One of the worst parts for me was when we had first and goal after murray gets us to the 2 and the game is well within reach and he calls 2 pass plays which results in the int. Wtf. Run the ball there

My buddy to me after Bradford's endzone int:

"I understand why we are football fans... I just don't understand why we are Eagle fans."

was pitiful. just saw this on bleedinggreennation:

Philadelphia picked up their first non-penalty assisted first down early in the second half.

Said I would come back win or lose. Not here to gloat, in fact, I am anything but happy with the Romo injury.

My outsider thoughts on you guys:

-Predicting 14 point victories against divisional rivals is tough.

-Called it before the game that Maxwell is not looking good and hurting you guys. He looked very poor.

-Murray is not being utilized the right way. He needs ZBS with stretch plays and from deeper drops. This off set business is not his strength. Bad coaching.

-Talent is there, but you guys need time and patience. Offense will come to together, but some changes are needed.

-Love your front 7. Lot's of heart. Back end remains the problem.

-9 Wins could win the East now with the Romo injury, your season is not done.

Sorry you guys lost Kiko.

Very classy banker. Good game

My wife texted me from work to see how the game went.

Me: Terrible. Haven't seen them play that bad since 1998.

Her: Again? You should change teams.

The defensive effort was just heroic. No other word for it, they were great, with no assistance at all from the other side of the ball. Except for you know, that play. Would love someone from the team to explain why Maxwell was playing off and outside leverage with no middle help. Maybe there should have been a S there who was out of position, maybe Maxwell should have been playing a different technique. After the issues with the press/trail thing a week ago and now this the pressure is on Davis and the defensive guys to bring the coverage guys up to the level of the front 7. Except for Jenkins, he's playing well outside the catching INTs.

Will wait for the All 22 to post mortem the Offense Offence, but that's the 2nd INT in 2 weeks from Bradford on a ball that shouldn't have been thrown. Terrible blocking and unacceptable drops from multiple pass catchers.

Even though we lost last week I was still pretty confident in this team, but Good God, that just made me sick to watch. And Kiko's gone and maybe Kendricks for a bit too. Just :wall:

Chris Brown from www.smartfootball.com / @smartfootball posted this during the game:

Eagles offense: H-back off the line, inside zone away; tight-end on the line, sweep towards the TE. WRs adjust splits, pass. Rinse, repeat.
Probably oversimplifying a bit, and poor execution is still the bigger problem, but worth watching.

1-5 in their last 6 games. Chip has never faced more pressure in his professional career than he does right now.
Chip has no pressure. Has a college job making millions anytime he wants it. That's the problem giving total control to a guy like Chip when he has nothing to lose.

you mean all those flash cards with #s and symbols aren't working?

there's a lot of very young talent on the O. give them some time. and maybe keep tebow on speed dial.

i still like Dan Bailey holding Demarco's arm today. i think that is the only bright spot i can remember. Jordan Hicks (outside of his horrendous pass coverage) was pretty good too. Has to be some positive we can think of right?

Don't forget the part about repeated penalties for Illegal Man Downfield, which he got away with in College.

Actually it looks like his assessment that Gardner, Barbre et al are starting guard material is the worst moves so far.

Nobody can run the ball when the middle of the line is getting caved in.

Shouldn't you be impugning the character of some Ole Miss coeds?

Yeah....I'm feeling more than a little bitter towards Evan Mathis right now.

Too easy to blame Chip for letting him go...think that was more about Mathis being a hard-headed fool....but we sure could use him right now. I bet things would look a LOT different with at least one solid guard in there holding his ground.

To be fair, Evan was last seen on his ### as Peyton got hit again on Thursday.

Still doesn't excuse not taking a single olinemen in two drafts.

Can someone explain to me the 100% shotgun? He didn't do this the previous two seasons. Why now? His QB is no more mobile than the previous version.

Dunno but I wonder if Bradford's knees are such that he cant easily do a semi-roll from under center

Huff was slightly better. I don't think he did any completely dumb-### #### today.

if Demarco can get away from our horrendous OL he has a chance. His hurdling of that defensive player (forget who it was) was impressive

May be the worst game I've ever been to. They'll be lucky to win 6 games this year. I don't see them turning it around. They were just plain awful. And so many penalties. The sky is falling. No silver linings.

They simply sucked less. Took 19 penalties, had 3 turnovers, lost their starting QB in the 3rd and still won going away. That's how bad we were today.

Way too soon to panic, but that was definitely an embarrassing loss. I've maintained from day one that Chip blew too much money at RB, arguably the easiest position to find an above average talent. But anyone calling Chip's tenure a failure based on the start to this season is getting way too ahead of themselves.

When we finish with 6 or 7 wins can we call it a failure then? It's hard to see this team beating anyone. This is his third year. All his players. Calling it anything other than a failure is a lie

At that point, yes. But it's still too soon now.

I would be shocked if he turns this around. It's looking pretty damn bleak

I don't disagree, but stranger things have happened and this is still a talented roster. Time will tell.
