*Official 2015 Philadelphia Eagles* - Winning when it doesnt count (2 Viewers)

Hurricane Joaquin predicted to bring 12" of rain Saturday and/or Sunday. Could play havoc with the game at FedEx field (and other places). Emphasis on D, ST, and Running in the rain...
Contingency plans in place per NFL... move to MNF? Bye week rearrangement? Or, just play on Sunday at 1...time will tell.

ETA sorry, just saw this has its own thread.
I just created it. I missed your post this morning. Got lost in the throw down.

God, it would be so fantastic if they change this game time. My so-called "best friend" is having his daughter's first birthday party at 1:00 on Sunday. I said that I could maybe stop by briefly.

As the owner of Mathews, Murray and Eagles DST, I am strongly opposed to them moving the game week.

They can move it to Tuesday. That's always worked out well for us.

:lmao:

The only Tuesday game in NFL history right? Freaking Joe Webb.

Gotta think a longer layoff benefits us. Not like a week isn't enough to prepare, but it somewhat takes the gap in rest/prep time away from being in washingtons favour. 12 vs 9 is better then 10 vs 7

No reason we shouldn't roll them. Bradford needs to show something, anything. He needs to have a normal QB game at least. 250 yards, 2 TDs, no picks.
250 and 2/0 is a pretty solid game vs that D. Well Foles put up 150/1 vs Washington. So I guess we'll finally have our first direct comparison vs the same D and we can compare how Bradford/Foles did vs that Wash D. (I think we all know who some people in here will be cheering for to win that)
Man this dude can't let it go? Stop whining, your killing a decent discussion.
hahaha. You should see others in here and their whining/ability to let our ex-qb go.
You can only control what you post. If you stop whining, that's one less whiny poster, which is infinitely better for all who read this thread. Thanks in advance.

From a fantasy perspective, assuming it's a swampy mess on Sunday, who do you like/dislike for the Eagles?
I'd avoid players from this game to the extent possible - if it's windy and rainy there will be no passing game to speak of and both teams have played the run very well this season. Could be a very low scoring game.

Says the guy trying to control what I post.

I'm not the one constantly complaining about our team in here. 5 less whiny posters is better then 1. I won't stop calling out trolls and disguised eagles fans getting their jollies from crying out Foles being gone. You're welcome to click ignore on me if you'd rather hear stories of how much chip sucks.

Like Ryan Mathews this game if it goes ahead as scheduled. Maybe even Sproles.... guy runs so fast with so many mini steps that defenders already have a hard time catching him when they have solid footing. I'm hoping they move it as they have some big backs.

I am not trying to control what you post. I am just asking you to stop whining about insein/ShaHbucks. I have already asked ShaHbucks to stop whining in the Bradford thread and he said he would try to stick to the topic. You can obviously do what you want, but continuing to harp on something that you guys obviously are never going to agree on is just silly. I don't want to put you on ignore because you usually contribute valid points. No offense intended.

Insein isn't bad at all. He has some negative opinions, but he's a true fan who you know is hoping the Eagles do well. ShaHBucks kind of took care of himself, so this thread should be fine for a while.

Situations that benefit us:
- Neutral site game this weekend

- Game moved to Monday or Tuesday

Situations that hurt us:
- Game moved to Saturday
- Game played in the middle of a hurricane
- Game moved to week 8

Chip also just said nothing has been told to them about moving the game, but they'll adjust if they have to.

Kendricks got a full practice in, so sounds like he is a full go. Very exciting news, and hopefully we can still work some Hicks into our game too. Not gonna get much injury info out of Chip this week though by the sounds of it.

Chip also said something interesting at the presser: "Two years ago we set an NFL record for explosive plays, now no one plays those coverages on us." Maybe more of our issues have to do with other teams' adjustments then we thought. I never bought into the whole 'a team has game film on him and now knows how to stop him" stuff, but sounds like he is even hinting at this. Up to him to now adjust based on the different coverages we are getting.

I cant remember where I read it but the explosive plays are down in the NFL period I believe and penalties are WAY up

Not sure if any of you heard this today but Mikey Miss still way up on the Kaepernick train. Apparently he is still the perfect QB in Chip's system. :lmao: I usually don't even mind Mikey Miss but man is he stubborn as an ox.

What an idiot. One of the worst QBs at reading coverage in the entire NFL is perfect for Kelly's system? How is someone so dumb on the radio talking sports?

Yea I heard it. It's his typical tired schtick. He insists on the running QB thing but forgets that they have to be able to throw. Now mind you if Bradford fails and we're going into year four of Chip with no QB, I'd be willing to take a look at a guy like Kaepernick on the cheap because what have we got to lose at that point. But I'm not giving up anything worthwhile for him.

I thought that was a requirement.

Because people are in here talking about him even though they despise the opinion?

Josh Innes does bits from time to time. He had one yesterday to prove a point that people pay more attention and call in when the topic is negative than they do when its positive.

He spent 10 minutes talking about how great Ryan Mathews looked and how the team was moving in the right direction. That Bradford would get it turned around and the Eagles would have a good chance to win the division. They got 5 calls for the 20 some odd phone lines they have.

Then he switched only 10 minutes later and called Demarco the biggest thief in sports, Kelly should be coaching high school, Bradford is a quitter and this city deserved the team they got. And the phones were overflowing.

It was funny if not predictable.

lol That's hilarious. I wonder if it's that way in all markets, or if that's more of a Philly thing. As a city, Philly has a lot of sports frustration. Especially with football. How many of us are sick of being in any sort of debate with another team's fan and being told that we suck because we don't have a ring? I think this city would go nuts if we won a Super Bowl. Probably 10 times as much as if the Sixers, Phillies, or Flyers did.

The city would explode when we win one.

Its every town. Most co hosted radio shows have the good cop bad cop dynamic. Certain topics too. In detroit no one calls in and bashes the wings due to sustained success. Lions though. Totally different ball game

Please tell me I'm not the only one who read Insein's new thread title in the voice of Blackuweather meteorologist Ollie Williams.

 that's exactly what I was going for.

Washington has been playing us very tough lately and have 10 days rest coming into this game. With them being home and our offense struggling my gut tells me we lose this game. I just hope I'm wrong.

I'd say it has that feeling but our defense is better than last year even with the injuries. So unless the offense looks like the Dallas game, I think we win another 24-17 type game.

Washington dealing with lots of injuries as well.

DJax is going to be out again (you know he wanted to play PHI, too)

CB D. Hall's toe going to take him off the field for the next month, and the other CB Culliver is on the wrong side of Q (no practice) - helps our passing attack.

LB Riley out with a calf injury, and that helps our TEs/RBs in the middle of the field/flats

Matthews or mega tron decision for me
Just my opinion, but I think the Eagles get some of their groove back tomorrow and drop at least 30 on the Washingtons. I'm starting Matthews, and Bradford, with no worries.
I can see Matthews - Bradford though? Man, I'd need to see him actually show some something...
Well I have Mariota on a bye, that's part of the reason. I almost picked up Carr to spot start but I have faith in Sam getting right against the woeful Washington secondary. We'll see.

I'm thinking three TD passes for Bradford today. Two to Matthews and one to a back.My thoughts on bradford have improved as the week's gone on. Better weather than I anticipated. 300 yards and 3 scores.

This is pretty bad weather to throw in. Wind is far worse then rain or snow or cold is for QBs.

I love Sam and I'd start Carr in a heartbeat this week over him.

This is a steaming pile of #### of a team. I've said all along that I'd have faith in Chip until he gives me a reason not to - I'm almost there. Make adjustments, fix the team even if it means changing QBs. Bradford absolutely deserves criticism. This is a quick-strike offense. Stop dancing around and make a friggin' play.
