Maxwell has not played well, but as a WHOLE, our DB's are better this year then last year and I'm not sure anyone will argue that. Carrol and Jenkins were here last year but are finally playing fantastic this year. He also brought in Thurmond who is doing well. And Chip was blasted on the Hicks pick, but look how that has turned out.It seems everyone here expects a home run on every single signing, every single draft pick, every single trade. People say our offense has been "average to bad in EVERY game". Our offense was not average against the Saints, yet the response is about the 2 picks. Not everything is going to go great on every aspect of the game and to have those expectations is just insane. Overall his moves as a GM have been positive as a WHOLE. Remember, this defense improvement is on Chip the GM too, but fans seem to only focus on Chip the GM's offensive moves.

I think a lot of balls people are calling drops are more on Bradford than the receivers....high hard and behind is a recipe for disaster even if your WR manages to get two hands on it...but Sam played well enough to beat an undefeated team on the road and got very little help last night.

It is what it is.....Chip took a chance to basically acquire a potential Carson Palmer type which has worked fine for Arizona. Foles has 6 TD and 1119 passing yards right now. QB'S don't just fall out of the sky so everyone should hope Bradford can progress because the other alternative is having a terrible record then hoping a top pick develops over a number of years. I can't imagine the whining in here through a process like that. Kirk Cousins has been in the league as long as Foles and RG3 and still sucks. A comeback win against the worst team in football last year is the "milestone " he is at 4 years in. Woohoo.

When evidence is right in your face, and even you agree how bad the drops have been, but you still find a way to come in here and bag on him over and over and over and over and over again, then ya that's a little much. The coach that usurped control from a decent young talent evaluator just to reshape the team in his image. We can say he needs more than a year to get it going but this team was 10-6 twice with supposedly inferior talent. I just don't see 10-6 unless they come out the bye a different team. In which case, what was 2015? A wasted season in which Fletcher Cox might have had his best year as a pro and he defense played the best it has in a decade.

Yea we can win the division at 8-8 but is this a good enough team to win a playoff game or two? Doubtful. So then onto next year where the coach/GM has to decide was Bradfords marginally better/worse play is worth keeping with a long term deal in the $16+ mil a year range or start over with another QB. I just don't see anything from the first 7 games that gives me hope that Bradford can drastically improve for the 2nd half of the year. The fact that we're blaming receiver drops and giving Bradford a pass last night is mind boggling to me. If last night was his supposed best game mechanically so far, then lets just pack it in now.

It's too bad that once we win you are all aboard and believing, and if he doesn't look amazing to you then its the end of the world and get rid of him. We can sit here and quantify 'average" vs "good" all you want. If you want to say Sam was terrible vs that good pass D at home, then your credibility is shot which is unfortunate because sometimes you make good posts. You even changed the damn title to "slipped through our hands", yet a few people defending Bradford in here gets you so riled up that you decide to go on the attack again and say that's not on his receivers.

Yes because finally people are being objective in here and saying how THIS game wasn't on Sam and talking about other issues, yet I'm the one without credibility. What have I said that wasn't credible? I never said he was amazing. I said this loss wasn't his fault, this season isn't his fault, and I'm hoping that he improves to become a good enough QB to sneak us into the playoffs. Yes I am. The run game hasn't been working this year. Our Oline is decimated and played horribly the first few games of the year. Our wr's cant catch this year. Yes, I'm telling you that a 'confident' Foles would not have made this exact offense "dominant" so far this year. You might be all alone if you're looking for people to share that sentiment.
